Yesterday’s decision by the SFA’s Judicial Panel, which ruled that Josh Meekings could not be subject to retrospective action as the referee saw the contentious incident on Sunday contradicted the initial official version of events, and totally vindicated Celtic asking for clarification of the incident.
I’ve not had a chance to read through all the apologies from those who used their platforms to criticise the club, but I’ll set aside an hour to do so later. Keep an eye on the very personal attacks on Peter Lawwell. There are people at Hampden who don’t like his influence.
It’s never good to get ahead of yourself, and it would be foolish to assume too much ahead of our visit to Tannadice tomorrow, but I hope the Highlanders take a point against Aberdeen today. Winning the title would be a great way to start a holiday weekend.

The above will be magnified if they manage to stumble their way into the SPL

He ignored everything he knows about refereeing to make that decision on Sunday,him and his colleagues. The MSM haven’t crucified him,as they would anywhere else.
The SFA haven’t asked the company to whom they subcontract for an explanation yet. The Scottish Referees Association has been strangely uninvolved.

Just in and saw your post.
Regarding the Jambos. The reaction after the Hibs defeat was incredible. They expect to beat Hibs. Home or away it makes no difference. Their dominance of their city rivals goes back probably to the mid 80’s. Even when Hibs were a better side than them Hearts totally dominated them. Hibs got the odd win and only when they skelped Hertz 6-2 did they have a very short upper hand on them. Hertz have romped the league and been by far the best team, however they have not dominated Sevco or Hibs this season. They have beaten Hibs once. Had a couple of draws one with a last minute pile driver and a defeat. They have also put Sevco to the sword a couple of times and lost to them. The natives of Gorgie were going mental a few weeks ago. They are straining at the leash to pump Sevco. They need it. It’s sort of like a confirmation of their status as true champions. Please bear in mind that Hibs pasted Sevco twice and that hurts their superiority complex on their rivals. As for Hibs I would not put money on them going up. They are the biggest bottle merchants in Scottish football.
I watched Motherwell last night and they are awful. There for the taking but have a few experienced players and know what is required but a team with their tails up full of confidence will fancy their chances.
In summary I fancy Hibs to finish 2nd. I think QoS will be a tough nut for Sevco and Hibs. Neither will fancy going to Dumfries. QoS would be my bet to go up. Mrs LB won’t be chuffed with that but I think their pitch gives them an advantage over anyone.
One thing is clear if Sevco make the play off final they will beat Motherwell. I think QoS will but not sure Hibs will. That’s just Hibs though. They don’t win many finals. You have to respect the SPL/SPFL for one thing. At least it’s exciting!
