Cenkos involvement worth attention

585

There is a realisation that the information issued by Craig Whyte last week is only the beginning of what promises to be weeks of salacious details.  Ownership of Ibrox, Murray Park and other assets purchased by Sevco 5088, a company which Charles Green signed a Companies House form for on 27 December 2012, but which Craig Whyte claims to be a significant interest holder in, is in doubt.

This matter could take weeks to play out and months, or longer, to settle.  The evidence provided thus far is interesting but courts are notoriously more concerned by paperwork than recorded conversations.  If Craig Whyte has paperwork to back his claims he will feel by far the more comfortable of the two parties.

Of more immediate concern will be what Cenkos Securities knew.  Cenkos were the Nominated Advisors for Rangers International’s recent Initial Public Offering and Newco’s directors would have been required to inform them of any claim over assets, no matter how spurious or disputed.

City Regulators move quicker than the courts and will want early information on when Whyte’s claims were made, what was revealed to Cenkos and how the board minute-d these matters.  Keep your eye on this one.

Having used David Longmuir to get at SFL clubs in an attempt to sink league reconstruction plans Charles Green, who has made no secret of his opposition to them, turned to St Mirren chairman Stuart Gilmour.  Gilmour, who was incandescent with outrage last year when SFL clubs refused to make a space in their top flight for Newco, plans to acquiesce.

He should reconsider before the St Mirren board meet to discuss this on Wednesday.

I worked in Paisley in the 90’s and Stuart Gilmore and friends could be seen from time to time in Fiddlers’ Green. The whole town knew it as a Celtic bar and it clearly didn’t bother him and he always came across as a decent guy. If he has done a deal with CLo he must be in a tight spot. Tin hat now on. HH.

  3. Yesterdays turnout of just over 49k pushed our average league attendances for this season above the team from Govan. Just in case any of the zombies bring up attendances as they have been known to do this season, you can let them know!!

Apologies to everyone who has already read this obvious re-post from an earlier article:

WIN TICKETS TO THE SKY BOX AT CELTIC PARK

The youth football club from which i take my CQN name (Giffnock Soccer Centre) are trying to raise fund for a new 3G pitch and to support the Johari Foundation, which supports child education and promotes self-sustainability in Kenya (particularly in Kibera which, with 1 million inhabitants is the biggest slum in Africa and one of the biggest in the world.)

To this end we are selling raffle tickets on (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sky-Box-Package-Celtic-Park-/181111831611?), with the prize being two tickets at the Sky Box at a Celtic home match, with full hospitality, courtesy of Lomond Audi

With Paul67′s permission, i hope to advertise this another once or twice between now and 19 April, when the draw is made.

    Thanks in advance.

Talking fitba is a bit off on this thread I suppose, but was I the only one that thought yesterday’s ref was actually GOOD? No bookings, sensible refereeing throughout, well helped by his ‘assistants’, took the opportunity to talk TO (not AT) the players, quickly quelled any potential blow-up between Stoksey and McPake after oor Anthony had clattered the big man – not something seen on here very often, but I say all praise to the referee. John Beaton, you’ve probably reffed yer last Celtic game!

    ___________________________________________________________________

I agree with you, the ref was OK, I wouldn’t say he had a great game or anything but he was fair enough, that is all that is asked of an official.

Back to the Rally, I spoke to BMCUWP earlier and he said about getting applications in for Rally’s constantly (28 day thing), as philvisreturns would indicate, that would get a massive ThumbsUp from me. It is time to, as Jeanette says, HARASS the authorities. We Need a lot more turning out for the next Rally, the singsongs are sensational, moving away were just as good as being in Celtic Park on a big game, we have a cause to fight for. Firey Belly, Delhi Bellly, what the Hell eh.

The next Rally I hope a lot more turnout (I mean a LOT) and interrupt Glasgow City Centre a lot more, peacefully, like we done yesterday. We are the “people” who genuinely care about this Police state that is being allowed to creep up on us ALL, in the long run the offended shoppers/drivers will praise us, hopefully (sarcasm obviously).

Aidan’s Mum sent me a text before saying that it would not be wise to have kids walking through Bridgeton. One is my own kid and two are her own, I think we will be parking the car at Celtic Park and getting a Taxi back in to the George Square for the next Rally. ;))

We are so powerful when we mobilise.

And HH to KevJ for being there, that says so much about how you are not easily led and you have your own mind, which is REALLY needed right now, there is no doubt I will make your acquaintance next time, or at the next moonhowlers conference on the 27th. FFS a lot are going, Bob is a bit of a lad in drumming up support, I actually think he’d be at home speaking to the Thousands who attended yesterday, a chip off the old block from his auld fella.

I would like to thank the whole Celtic family, including the players and everyone behind the scenes at Celtic Park, for a brilliant weekend. God bless you, one and all.

    Whits ma target URL

Your target is the web address or photo link you want to use. You put that in the top line and type the name you want to use. Then create the link by tapping ‘ construct link’. This should creat an HTML CODE and test link section. You then copy the HTML CODE and paste into the blog post area. Be careful when you copy and paste as it sometimes includes the words

Your HTML code: you need to remove this if it does. Best way to test it works is to go to an old CQN blog and post there and if it works post on the current blog.
