    Whilst not quite yet at the levels of ‘pay the fine for Palestine’, the entries continue to come in for the latest competition and we’re now well over the 100 mark, a fantastic achievement so thank you. Not only is the prize money over £2,000 but with every entrant it’s another £5 to Wee Shay.

     

     

    The prize pot is so high this time due to the last 3 competitions ending in a rollover situation. But that will not happen this time. There will be a winner (or winners) and the full prizepot will be paid out, more than likely pre-Christmas. So might be worth thinking about following The Board’s anticipated stance and spending to accumulate here and putting in that second or third entry or asking your friends and family to join. We are a competition Open To All and the prizepot is unlikely to ever be this high again!

     

     

    There’s still 9 more sleeps until the competition starts so there’s plenty of time to encourage those family and friends to join in, as they will make your winning prizepot even bigger :-)

    I’m not asking who we are after. The McCarthy thing may be accurate – hard for a Celtic daft local bhoys family/ friends not to let slip to acquaintances etc but generally it appears we do our transfer business outside of the L5 press knowledge. Much to the annoyance of some of them.

    Morning all, like Jobo I too have a well earned day off today. Like him, I also have chores ahead, gym first then ” the messages” , then collect and stain a new door for the hallway. Hopefully it stays dry and I can get the job done outside.

     

    Now I’d like to think we would all be a bit happier, we have been handed a very difficult group to play in up till Xmas. So what, the alternative would have been raised hopes and dashed dreams. Let’s ride the pony and see where we are when it stops, but above all enjoy the ride.

     

    The poor people in Umbria cannot even think about such pleasures but hopefully they will have family and freinds around them for comfort.

     

    We should enjoy these days, can you imagine supporting some other club / company in Glasgow?

     

    If all goes well with the DIY, I will trot along to Celtic Park tomorrow to see our team play, another reason to be cheerful.

    Looking at current squad. We need an A list squad of 25 for CL which needs to have at least 8 ‘home’ association players of which at least 4 need to have come through the ranks with us.

    If we are bringing in another signing before window closes (insufficient IMO, we need 2/3), there must be plans to move several others on. We need to move someone out for every one we bring in (we could keep players but not have them in CL squad but that wouldn’t be ideal)

    Id have preferred Leicester.

    Stade de Geoffroy Guichard is a fine place. When I was there the food was excellent. I can’t remember if there were any “political flags” being waived as I was too busy looking at the half-time entertainment, who were all lovely.

    I was referring to the leaders of the G B not Celtic supporters, and I’v never called them groomers, I’v said they groom kids to do the dirty work, IE waving flags and causing it, stick to the facts, but that would a first eh?
