Contingency party arrangements

831

Those of you with a ticket for Sunday can wish for an Aberdeen win tonight all you like, but be ready with contingency party arrangements, just in case. I know it’s six-in-a-row, I know this isn’t 1998, the towns and villages of Lanarkshire will not be adorned in green and white, but don’t switch your phone on after leaving a cinema tonight to hear than an hour earlier Celtic became Premiership champions, season 2016-17.

Winning the title without watching Celtic play is far from ideal. Winning the title away from Celtic Park has always involved more stress than I thought is absolutely necessary, but I’m as excited today as any of you will be with your match tickets in hand on Sunday morning.

In 10 hours we could be champions again! Get ready for it.

Wee Shay’s Green Army

Lennybhoy and TommyTwistsTommyTurns are looking for volunteers to distribute fliers for Wee Shay’s Green Army Raffle (which will be drawn on Thursday 25th May 2017 at Celtic Park).

They are looking for volunteers to distribute fliers advertising the raffle ahead of the Partick Thistle game at Celtic Park on 5 April. If anyone can help, please email walkwithshay@yahoo.com .

Thank you.

Enjoy yourself tonight, I have a feeling……….

Very interesting to hear Gordon Dalziel on Snyde today fully backing lenny; he reckons Lenny has no case to answer and it’s the Morton contingent who should be in the dock, including the assistant manager. He slaughtered kelvins and said he couldn’t comment as he had never stood in Lennon’s shoes.

Dn’t often agree with any of them on Snyde but fair play to Gordon Dalziel – he was bang on the money!

For my sins I love Clyde, thankfully I can laugh at the nonsense and not get too annoyed, Gordon Dalzeil has backed Lenny as soon as this nonsense started, after the initial spat with Jim Duffy even Gerry McCullough commented on the tweets with everybody saying they were backing Neil then everybody else saying they were after Neil, Gerry McCulloghs comment was so true……

“Who would be Neil Lennon ?”

I don’t care if Jim Duffy is from Maryhill and is hard as nails and all the other shoite, Neil is the story and the papers and their photographers are only after one person, by the way I have yet to see one picture of Jim Duffy who travelled many yards to get to Neil but still no photographs, we all know why

Hey Gerry. I hope you and your loved ones are well.

I will miss most of the game tomorrow, it was my youngest 7th birthday on Friday and her party is tomorrow. It’s a BMX party, last week she was at a Roller Skate birthday and next week atrampoline party at that place near you in Chapelhall. What happened to pass the parcel and musical chairs?

Anyway as you always say family first.

    Hail Hail

When did birthdays start being more than one day, now weekends and my big sisters 50th lasted a week !!!!!!

Wasn’t on the blog during the week have a wee lurk now and again and noticed you saying it was your wee yins birthday, as a working class Bhoy like 99% on here our birthdays were what our parents could afford, my wee yin keeps asking what I got for presents, my answer “a ball and a Celtic strip” what did you get for Christmas “a ball and a Celtic strip” …..our parents probably didn’t have too much but they couldn’t even afford a Celtic strip these days :-)

Hope your wee girl had a great birthday, am sure her Dad spoiled her and would haves loved a wee BMX party himself :-)

My neices fiancé was diagnosed with Birketts Lymphoma (non hodgkins). He has a very aggressive form of the disease (cancer). Daniel and my neice are both in their early twenties and go engaged to marry last year. They reside in Christchurch, New Zealand were my sister has lived for more than 10 years.

Please don’t take over the blog with your thoughts and prayers but please kindly offer them to sail across the seven seas.

Daniel starts chemo tomorrow and has been told he will be in hospital for next 7 to 8 months.

    Thanks.

Sad stuff, by the way it’s not taking over the blog, in my opinion it’s the best part of the blog more important than any game of football (or daft politics stuff)

A wee candle lit at 10am mass in St Augustine’s tomorrow……. It might not do any good but it will certainly not do any harm

Have now read Lenny’s thoughts and view on the carry on midweek. Give me Lenny all day every day. Spoke to Duffy 5/6 years ago about after dinner speaking. Found him to be quite arrogant, never really had an opinion on him prior to that but was really quite disappointed with his general demeanour. Safe to say never bothered booking him. Have booked Tosh McKinlay for a mixed audience, absolute gentleman exactly what I would expect from a Celtic man. Lenny has really called the Scottish media out and told them what we are all thinking. Good on him. The worm is turning slowly but surely. This tomorrow we will be CHAMPIONS yet again.

Tosh is a lovely guy, did Neil get the back up from PL after the alleged shame game? Not IMO HH

Not much consolation , I know , but I`ve always been impressed by the quality of N.Z. medicine.

In fact by New Zealander standards in general.

Thoughts for Daniel and your extended family.

  16. PSG look to have ran away with the French Coupe de Ligue. A cracking game and 4-1 flattered PSG. I really see a difference in the level of the teams in this game to what we see at our own games.

Yes, money talks however the dynamic strength and technique of the players was incredible. Also a very positive approach to the game from both coaches helped make it entertainment.

Hi need a bit of advice.

I am in Porto de pollensa in Majorca and am looking for somewhere to watch the game tomorrow.

Celtic Bars is saying the only place in Majorca is in Santa Ponza but it’s miles away, any ideas.

    Thanks in advance

Rumours on twitter that the three he subbed at half time critisized him hence they were taken off, no idea if true, couldn’t give a toss either way but whatever, he is gonna be a laugh.

Trotters Bar in C’an Picafort will probably have the game on. I watched the Red Imps game in there last summer. It’s on the main road about 6-7 miles along from Puerto Pollenca, has the yellow robin reliant on the roof of the pub. Don’t know of anything closer.
