I’m having a preoccupied week, so Hot Smoked and vfr800a8 have kindly stepped forward with today’s article, and an initiative, which will hopefully establish a direct route for the blog to ask questions of the club.
This is from Hot Smoked and vfr800a8, please support the initiative:
In 2004 Paul67 decided that something was needed to combat the distorted MSSM reporting on all things Celtic. The result was the birth of CQN.
Like all good ideas, CQN has developed and now provides an outlet for discussions ranging from Independence to toasted cheese. Nevertheless, the raison d`etre of the site remains the same i.e. as provision of a vehicle to inform on all matters Celtic from a less prejudiced view than that of the MSSM. However, there are still issues that arise that could do with some direct input and clarification from Celtic.
With that in mind, we contacted John Paul Taylor, the Celtic Supporters Liaison Officer and after discussion he has agreed to host a weekly/fortnightly Q & A session at a set time on CQN. He is also willing to do a Blog Q&A session on a regular basis if required; the frequency of the “regular basis” is yet to be defined so we will approach this flexibly.
If there are urgent issues that arise then we can approach John Paul to see if there is a possibility of a response prior to the scheduled meetings, though it is expected that this will only take place in exceptional circumstances.
Initially, to ensure that all areas of any given topic are covered, we would propose we tackle different sets of questions on separate weeks; for example:
Week 1 – Res 12 and “same club” issues
Week 2 – The stadium, fan experience and safety at other stadiums
Week 3 – Ticket allocation issues
Week 4 – Offensive Behaviour at Football Act
The questions and issues will be collated centrally on CQN and grouped to reflect the various views on the Blog. We feel that this approach is unique to CQN and don’t think any other fan site has this opportunity so we must use it wisely.
It is envisaged that if those using CQN see this as being useful and beneficial that we start the meetings on Friday 18th November 2016, so we would finalise questions and issues by mid-day on tomorrow, 17th November to get them to John Paul. Please send questions you would like to raise to competition@celticquicknews.co.uk and Liason in the subject line
So, let us know what you think and if the feedback is positive, we can get this off the ground! If there are issues or questions you have on Res 12 and the same club myth please let us know by noon tomorrow by emailing competition@celticquicknews.co.uk
Thanks, Hot Smoked and vfr800a8.
In other news CQN is delighted to publish Stephen Murray’s new book Kenny of the Celtic today. It’s available now from cqnbookstore.com

Okay maybe my interpretation of reading what was sent to me was wrong or that there are too many things that need to fall into place to make it happen, I kinda take things at face value though.
Neganon2,
They made the same statement they made for the last two years, they are working with the shareholders representatives. Except for the addition that they are now talking about “progressing matters” not previously included also “this is an important matter of governance” subtle but poignant.
The difference this year is the response from UEFA in June contradicts what Regan told PL, in the original response from the SFA, the tone of which was quite condescending, has given PL exactly what he asked for and an opportunity to respond to that original tone in a way that would be rather satisfying for someone who was treated with such disrespect :)
These details have been pointed out to the Plc and they have confirmed there are inconsistencies and contradiction that need addressing.
Yes we’ve been here before but the tone appears to have change enough to think they mean business. As I said earlier it is also getting greater coverage in the meeja since Auldheid made the update available for public consumption.
Big thanks to Hugh McGovern & the Development squad who looked after my son at Carrow Road tonight. Special mention also to Allison who was so helpful in arranging for him to be the team mascot.
All great ambassadors for the club, its the little things that make such a difference.

Tell that beautiful wife of yours to have another R & C and chill, tell her I told her to, she will feel all the better for it and make it a large one :-)

Goooooood evening CQN
A lot of interesting reading today on the blog
Including The Offshore Game report as posted by Auldheid
Can I add another name, who should not be involved at any level now with UEFA, over and above Ogilvie, how abooot Dallas ?
Removed from his role at FtSFA and straight into an influential one at UEFA,
How did both of them manage that ?
Cowiebhoy,
IFAB the only reason Scotland is relevant in footballing terms and the only reason they get away with corruption, because the other members help cover it up through embarrassment.

That was funny.
Well done to the Resolution 12 guys. A long journey to get to this point but hopefully it will start gaining some momentum with the full backing of the board over the next few months.
Totally off topic now and starting to get a bit desperate. Four of us are travelling over from Ireland for the Barcelona match next week without tickets for the game. If anyone happens to have any spares or knows of anyone with any spares I would be eternally grateful.
HamiltonTim, are there any pubs that you would recommend us to visit on matchday to give us the best chance of finding some spares if we haven’t gotten lucky by that stage?
Thanks in advance to anyone that can help. HH

Just any of the pubs in the Gallowgate mate. You might also want to wait at the bus park.
Well Canamalar. I sincerely hope that it works. It’s the only show in town when it comes down to tackling the corruption.
I anyone wanted to know how much of a dirty hun Dallas was they would only have to replay the recorded live (they cut the incident from the highlights) BBC Match of our defeat at Ibrox on January 3rd 1989.
I remember there was an early goal by Chris Morris and as the Broomloan Rd end erupts the live enclosure side camera catches Dallas react to the roar, turning round (he was fiddling about with something) to see what the matter was, recognising that Celtic had scored inside the first kick of the ball, and he gives a visable ‘Oh FFS’ groan complete with body movement to bemoan the fact.

I have a spare for Primal Scream that night

A huge Thank You to all the Resolution 12 investigators.
At the next meeting with CFC Board, is it possible to ask them to try and force the SFA/SPFL to adopt and provide a Public Access To Information, similar to the one provided by the Glasgow District Council when we were the subject of malicious complaints?
We could even provide them with the titles for the FAQs and all they would have to do is provide honest and truthful answers.

Very sad news – 44-year-old Daniel Prodan, who spent a year at #AtleticoMadrid along with spells at Rangers and Steau Bucharest, has died.
Daniel prodan RIP
No age 44

Haha. I might take you up on. Scrap Glasgow, onto Inverness

Do you think the next stage with our board will involve documented meetings ( with notes/minutes) ?
Bloody keep getting thrown out of login, since updating update with latest IOS 10
Hail Hail
Former Steua, Atletico, Rangers defender Daniel Provan died at 44. He played 54 games for Romania.
44, jezzo, no right
RIP Daniel
On another topic…
I stopped using ad-blocking apps on my computer a while back. Some blogs depend on adsense and stuff and I thought not to be so selfish and just put up with the ads.
However. CQN has recently become very clunky to use and I wonder if there is an issue with the now plethora of ads that are displayed.
Anyone else find this?

1 Thessalonians 5:2 For yourselves know perfectly, that the day of the Lord shall so come, as a thief in the night.
Rest in Peace
res12 guys.

thank you,

thank you,

its a difficult thing to breakdown a cabel.
keep it lit
There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Res12 was the way to go.
It is in the UEFA statutes that a club cannot impugn it’s own Association.
That is why, when evidence of the SFA’s mal governance became apparent, my suggestion was for a shareholder, who did not hold office at the club, should instigate an action against the SFA.
I threw in the name of the litigious Denis O’Brien, a man of means and influence, as a possible candidate.
Obviously, that didn’t happen, but what did, due to the initial efforts of Canamalar, turned out to be a refinement of my suggestion.
The master stroke, that he had the insight to pull, was to bring in the steady hands of Auldheid and BRTH, along with his wingman, Morrisey.
I have nothing but praise for what they have achieved, in the face of friendly and unfriendly fire and to have gained the trust and respect of the club.
All I would ask is for the Body Celtic to allow matters to progress.
It is obvious, through the medias change of tack, that something is afoot at Hampden.
Celtic know the lie of the land and we are not governed by fools.
I meant to add that the position now is that UEFA have INVITED Celtic to get involved.
That option was not available at the beginning.

Unfortunately at the second goal, the sheen was taken off McGarvey’s goal by a kiss from Judas.
Great game whatever.
Goodnight Timland
just two more sleeps til I get to see the Celtic

Good Night, Celtic.

Your long theory deserves a better reply than this but its late and I’m knackered.
Suffice to say that whilst yours is a very good read, the truth as we think we know it, is even better.
Its good that res 12 has caught on. Amongst Celtic supporters. This year.
The garden of Gethsemane moment doth approach.
There will be some ears lost. Comments never to be forgotten, treachery and a crucifixion.
….canny wait! :)

The fine detail will be agreed at the first meeting, probably in April. The plan at the moment is that there will be representatives from all supporter groups (2 from each) as well as representatives from the wider support. How that will work is still to be agreed.
And that’s the reason I voted against ,it was all to vague for me, the above should all have been done before this went to a vote, to me it was just a wee sweetie to the CT to shut them up, it has train crash written all over it, IMO. These are the guys who will speak for ordinary Celtic supporters? They’ll be wanting a meeting with the board every three weeks, and be REST assured they won’t be talking for the ordinary fans.
“There have been new developments on the res12, and we will be talking to the reqisisionesrs at a later date” hahahahahaha BOOM! There’s yer dinner, where have I heard that one before? And you’ll neve guess what? It worked, lol,
TOG seem to be playing a blinder on this than anyone else, I’d leave it to them IMO.
