  1. Regarding the song book my personal choice would be not to sing them at the game, Keep them for the bus or a lenient Pub.

However I would never tell anybody what to do or what not to do.

  2. Joey Harty may have been @ fault a goal the day (best day to dae that).

The Guy is obviously Loving playing for the Hoops and adding his mental Experience to All his Team m8s. Josip was angry (the guy is Big Time Quality) and uber determined for Celtic to do well, JH calmed him doon.

Amazing whats happening before our eyes.

I reckon we will get a Draw over in Germany, whisper it….. even a Win.

  3. Inevitable that Slippy would be linked to the EPL vacancies and I’ve little doubt that he’d walk to Birmingham to sign a contract at Villa but leaving aside my obvious prejudice, Gerrard is a high risk appointment for any club hoping to avoid a relegation fight. I suspect Villa will go for a safer, more experienced, pair of hands.

    Snooker is boring!!!!

OK OK it is too hard a game to play when used to playing Pool.

Respect to the dedication to be as Good as you can be @ that game. Wow.

Pool is still a lot more fun.

CC – Ange is Rocking like a Rhino.

The Honest mistakes are gonnae go Stratospheric.

BTW Gary Nevilles interview with yer Cork Legend is worth watching. Roy would be an asset to Celtic in whatever capacity, IMO.

The Green Brigade are a priceless component of Celtic FC.

Their magical ingenuity, their creativity, their collecting of, and distributing, the food parcels that more, and more Scots are in need of, because of the policies of the political party that most of these Celtic supporters, vote for !!!

    ye know…

Alice In Wonderland, would run a mile from the Celtic soap opera.

For me, the Green Brigade, and Celtic Trust, looked like hollow fakes last season.

You don’t protest in the car park for six months, waving flags that said,

    “PLC Frauds Out!”

    “Shoot The Board!”

    “Not A Single Dime More!”

    ..and many, many, more.

And after six months, the renewal ticket time arrives, and you collectively bottle it, fall into line, give the “Frauds” £666+ each, and release a statement saying,

“We support Ange, not the PLC!”

    ..eh, what?

You give the PLC £666+ each, but you don’t support the PLC??

    How does that work?

The Sevco fans “statement” of the year award is won by….

The Green Brigade, and The Celtic Supporters Trust. 🏆 👏

    Education, education, education.

The Green Brigade, and the Celtic Trust, have lots of talents and energies to help Celtic FC achieve its aims.

All of this is good stuff.

But it becomes nothing, if its not channelled properly.

The channelling is done by, competent, capable, savvy, bold, fearless, leadership.

So the talents, gifts, and capabilities, of the Green Brigade and the Celtic Trust, aren’t utilized to their greatest effect, because Celtic doesn’t have executive leaders.

Our “leaders” have either ensured behind the scenes, that Ibrox is financially secure, or our leaders are about to enter another pantomime season, like last year, remember that fiasco?

©ShaneDuffy “The crazy happenings behind the scenes”….whatever that meant?

Or we’re going to be “shocked” as Celtic mysteriously collapse and blow another season?

Old Firm First, PLC theology, can only be brought to an end, when the Green Brigade and Celtic Trust, rally their fellow supporters, to remove their financial input, and put the PLC on notice.

But, herding cats would be easier than convincing season ticket holders that they are sustaining the Old Firm by financially supporting the corrupt, and thoroughly untrustworthy, Celtic PLC.

    Celtic, and Celticness, first.

    You know what to do.

If you don’t know what to do, then you’ll have to endure an onslaught of, Ibrox mibberry, trophy stealing years, until you smarten up your Acts.

    Peace. ✌ 🍀 👍

Which leader has got the biggest teeth?

    Jacinda or,…

    did I say teeth?

I assume you mean the north stand. There is no corner between the south stand and the Jock Stein.

  13. Take a few weeks away and another dodgy account pops up, spouting the same tired old sh#te…

This rocket hasn’t a clue which of his clichéd targets to whine about first! Give it a rest son, you’re fooling no-one!

  14. A convincing Celtic win sure scares away some of the most ardent and poisonous critics of Ange and the crew.

Disnae deter ALL of them obviously, but the feats of their tiny patter is heard less after we dish out a doing.

    They’re not missed.

Agitation point aside, kinda sad to start a game by turning our starts into tennis ballboys – they mighta had other things on their minds (and they proved to be undistracted thankfully)

“You give the PLC £666+ each, but you don’t support the PLC??

    How does that work?”

    ——————————————

We live in the real world.

I shop in Morrison’s for my weekly food. It is convenient and local and reasonably priced. It is, however, a capitalistic enterprise for which I have no emotional attachment. If I moved house, I might find a Tesco, Asda, Lidl or Aldi to be just as useful and would transfer my money there.

I use Scotrail Services regularly as there is a station nearby and I find it a good way to get to Parkhead, the City Centre or the West End. I used it just as much when it was run by capitalistic enterprises such as Abellio as I will when it is “nationalised” by an arms-length company. Politically, I favour it being nationalised but I am realistic as to how much I can make that happen. My personal boycott of Scotrail would neither hasten nor slow down the move to Nationalisation. Only concerted and organised political action would make that happen. It certainly won’t happen by shouting at fellow users of the service to boycott it until it becomes nationalised.

The shareholder structure of Celtic was in existence from an early stage and it evolved into a plc. There was little debate about it being a plc when Fergus saved us from going out of existence altogether. A boycott of the Kellys & Whites might have persuaded them to sell to someone else or even a fans group but, once Fergus was in place, the plc future was inevitable. Not many amongst the general population is going to place a high priority on nationalising football clubs and taking them out of the private sector. We are having a hard enough job holding on to National Services like the NHS as it is. Getting or keeping Celtic out of private hands comes a long way below protecting the NHS, housing, food and water security, in all our priorities.

We decided the Celtic we wanted a long time ago. We stopped being a regular weekly version of Dukla Pumpherston, existing only as a charity fund raising club, and decided we wanted to be more than that. We wanted to be a very competitive football club that represented us and our community and helped us keep our heads held high. That takes money for players, grounds and facilities. Even in a universal footbal system which is no longer a level playing field for all clubs, due to TV money and Big League hegemony, we have chosen to be as big a club as we can be.

It is dead easy to find a team that does not tie itself to the Capitalist model. There are thousands of amateur teams across this land 9though some are sponsored by Capitalisyt owned pubs), some with leanings towards our community, that we could support at much less expense to our pocket or our “socialist” principles. But you’ll not find any in any senior football setting. Fan owned clubs like Barca have more corrupt owners and practices than our club have. “Fan owned” clubs like Hearts have immediately handed over running to an efficient capitalist like Ann Budge as they find it too big to be run by fan committee.

Man U fans offended by the Glazer takeover founded FC United of Manchester. Such a route for an alternative Celtic is open to anyone opposed to the SB price, the Strip merchandising, the cost of pies or the use of Parks buses. But very few hive off to watch Albion Rovers, St. Roch’s, Holyrood FPs or St. Dominic’s under 11s.

We want a big team. We want our historical Celtic. So we hold our noses at the Care home practices or Government bribes scandals attributed to Dermot Desmond and we pay fo our historical Celtic which will be there regardless of the shape or name of the robber baron who takes over. Very few Newcastle fans will jump ship because Saudi murderers have taken financial control of their club. Very few Man U fans chose to follow FC United……………….. and very few Celts will acknowledge that DD is our club now…… because he isn’t.

Once you start to think that their financial ownership means they own you along with the title deeds to the club, then you have surrendered to them.

There are times to oppose and there are definately times to protest. Organised opposition and organised protest can have an effect to the good.

But wailing and whining and bad mouthing others on a blog, never changed anything. It is a form of back bar revolution-ism.

And that’s the worst kind of bar room bore going.

The truth is that the poppy has become political and has found its way into football grounds and for many people at football, just as in life, they will have very different views. i can be silent but I can’t ask others to do that, thats not my personal choice, celtics choice or footballs choice.

  20. SFTB @ 12.22am – eloquent, logical and sound.

Like to add to/qualify this point you raised, though….

“Not many amongst the general population is going to place a high priority on nationalising football clubs…”

Some may argue that when the key influential agencies within a country (its government, state media, police, officiating bodies, tax enforcers and key competitors…) collude in a plan to protect one, specific club (just f’rinstance) then some form of national effort is being leveraged for the (coughs) alleged ‘greater good of the game/society’. It doesn’t need to be a purebred municipalization for a kind of national effort to be underway. Just IMO y’unnerstand.
