In respect of Res12 they have.

On the 5 way I have nothing to argue one way or another but would be amazed if they had tried to stop it.

The other clubs wanted it. They carried the vote so at worst Celtic were passive and recognised they could do nothing to prevent and stood back.

The only thing they might have changed was the same club nonsense but even there I doubt Celtic saw what was a device to work within the existing rules (xfer of SFA membership) would be turned into what it became AFTER the agreement was reached – used as evidence RFC and TRFC were the same club.

The SFA club licensing rules for SFA membership for a new club were presentation of accounts for previous 3 years.(There have been changes since btw)

TRFC could not provide this so if they had applied as a new club that application by that route ran into difficulty on a most important plank of membership – proof of solvency.

So another way within the rules had to be found. That was found in Art 14 which whilst it had a title that prohibited transfer of membership had a discretionary clause in it that allowed it.

In my opinion that is why the new club route of Registered Membership then Associate Membership and after 5 years Full SFA membership was not followed.

The decision to allow xfer was within the rules and had a commercial benefit that CG might have demanded but certainly exploited once agreement signed.

So on same club nonsense part of 5 way agreement the only input Celtic could have had was to insist TRFC were recognised as a new club but that would have required a degree of foresight no one demonstrated in football or media. Everyone thought that Rangers died was a given at the time.

The Board at Celtic are essentially a group of part timers directed by the CEO. They should be there to govern and direct but essentially they are ticking a Plc stock market box.

It’s the CEO we need to change. An ethical CEO would welcome the direction and Goveenance of s throng Board.

The Chairman and major shareholder should also want this as it would IMO give a greater chance of growth. In financial and football terms we are witnessing contraction.

Contraction in my view is an acceptable short term plan but is not a sustainable long term strategy. As evidenced by our drop in income and falling attendance.

Think you are been harsh on the Celtic support mate. The troops over the years have backed the team financially and emotionally.

IMO they are watching a very poor team with certain players not stepping up to the plate and the fans have earned the right to be annoyed.

Thank you fella for your in depth reply.

The angle that I was driving at was the much trumpeted – dossier – by John Reid being spelled out to the national media…not the parochial masonic anti-Celtic media, and the carnage that would ensue outwith the reaches of the masonic-tentacles and, their capability to diminish the impact of the revelations of the – dossier.

If ?…This dossier did / does exist ?…Where is it ?…Why wasn’t it played like an ace in the hole ?…Did the dossier exist at all ?…Was it used as a smoke-screen to disperse the baying mob of malcontented-rebels at the AGM of the time ? :)

Seriously….I think that the dossier can be filed in the same book as the – “We are a stand alone club.” – statement from Lawwell, just before he went down south to negotiate a new TV-deal which included Sevco .

The book is available in the club shop – The Grimm board’s fairy tale’s:)

Hopefully all works out well and, thank you again.

Get a map of the world and throw a dart at it, then recruit the manager that fits the profile.

  9. Just listening to Matt Elliott taking about Leicester.

There strengths they play as a team and are well organised.

In a nutshell,in my opinion, that’s what Celtic lack.

  10. Hopefully the trials ongoing against the magnificent 7 will show the depth of collaboration between the Ogilvy led SFA and the new Hun.

    Rangers are a sideshow now.

It will take more time but they are in a death spiral.

No business can sustain monthly losses in excess of a million a month and continue to trade.

Even the bluest of bluenoses, must at some point, throw in the towel when continuously asked to pony up.

What we need to happen is a complete rout of Hampden and get some decent business and football people running the show.

Good on you Aulheid, keep going mate.

They also decided to stand by Nigel Pearson when it looked like they were adrift at the bottom of the league

He was given time to get it right on the training field and he eventually got the results on the pitch. Leicester finished that season the form team.

Lesson’s to be learned about when to stick with a coach and when to consider a change.

With respect the politics of Scottish football require it and whilst progress has been slow here we are with Res12 very much still alive and kicking.

As I said. Had Celtic wanted to kill Res12 all they had to do was vote it down.

There might have been a hullabaloo following but we would never have caught SFA and RFC in lies had that happened.

As I also said it’s sfa about getting TRFC back or reinstating the old firm. It’s about making sure they never again are allowed to avoid the same rules other clubs are governed by.

There will never be a greater opportunity to do so now that other SPFL clubs are seeing the benefits of not having to compete against financially doped opposition.

After TRFC reach the top flight no need for other clubs to back them. They have had their bite at the bigot £ so when it comes to making changes the voting dynamic will have changed making what was impossible, possible.

As Paul67 has said, there is a clear lack of defensive organisation under Ronny.

We do have some player liable to individual errors, but the collective also looks disorganised

I think Ronny has what it takes to take the league title. We’re only 2 points worse off than last season (which we won by a mile). We don’t need to go to Pittodrie again.

My only worry is if we have to go somewhere like Tynecastle in the Scottish Cup (though we haven’t lost the 2 times we’ve played there this season)

Ah yes the “dossier” I remember that and like you wonder whatever became of it.

Perhaps it was about ebts and side letters that surfaced not long after?

There has been clear evidence that our game has been cheated going back to 2000.

What has happened since it started to reach the light is management of the consequences.

Attempts as in LNS to minimise the enormity of what took place and in case of Res12 of point blank refusal of SFA to come clean.

If there wasn’t a strong enough dossier to force change then, there is a very strong one now.

Supporters/shareholders who have seen the case on both matters but under instructions not to publish because it was announced there would a a court case on fraud at TRFC, have all accepted it is a very sound one.

This case is supported by the tax expert hired to confirm understanding of tax process as well as lawyers at various points and levels.

What will be made of it is in the lap of the Gods, but that evidence, unlike the dossier, is out in the wild and only the legal process now in court prevent it being called in.

Out in the wild goes beyond Scottish media borders BTW but the seeds of transparency have been sown.

Celtic would not stand in the way of the hun rejuvenation at any level for an exchange that

Celtic would get a run at ten in a row and can turn a wee profit every year. A league cup or a

Scottish cup would be sacrificed every season possibly even both at the altar of spreading around

the glory to the wee teams until the huns get back. That will keep the delinquent turnstyle fodder

interested with their “remember the day we went to Hampden and we were in the local courier” memories

and allow them to accept the huns wounded position and situation while Celtic keep winning the SPL.

With the proviso that Celtic cannot be seen to be doing well financially within the CL and winning

everything before them domestically. We know that is very achievable for Celtic but it will kill the

Scottish game that only works within certain parameters, That would not fit in with the affordable product

replacement strategy. An attempt to realign the entire Scottish game. Celtic will collect UEFA coefficient

points hopefully along the way meantime awaiting the rejuvenation.

the rest. That will keep the moustached Ebeneezer purring as he has no interest except avoiding any

situation where he might have to dip into his reserves rather than getting some beer money every annum.

The blazers, journoes, pundits, ground keepers, mascots, catering staff, ticket staff want to keep their

Cheers and you have raised a very important point here – trust.

At every twist and turn in this process there have been questions of trust not in the Board but in and between the individuals taking the process forward.

Reasons to mistrust have came up at times but the question that always led to was do you trust me?

Without trust feck all would have been possible. As a means of changing things I highly commend it to all.

Will that trust be betrayed? Possibly but better the disappointment in failing than mistrust stopping the effort being made at all.

There is a greater good being fought for here and I’m keeping faith with whatever it is that wants a greater good to prevail.

FUnc – happened to my wife at hotel by Glasgow Airport last year waiting to pick up family. Picture of car entering and leaving, fine.

Mailed them, told them to take a hike because the car was never parked and to prove it if they reckoned otherwise. A couple of threatening reminders, but nothing they can do legally or credit-wise apparently, so we left it with the email standing as testimony and there’s been no repercussions to date some 9 months on.
