  1. thomthethim for Oscar OK on

Neil Lennon walked out on Celtic with no job to go to.

We wanted him to stay, with RD as No.2, to create a smooth transition.

Even six months would have helped Ronny to get his feet under the table and may have helped the Euro campaign.

Deila’s philosophy is the correct one, but he probably locked the experience at our level to implement it and has been playing catch up on his disastrous start.

Stay at Bolton, Neil, as you didn’t buy into the direction that the club wished to head.

  2. Eddie

You tweeted a question asking who could replace Ronny if Celtic decided to make a change.

You suggested Jackie Mac, John Hughes, McInnes or NI manager as options.

Someone suggested Moyes and CQN Magazine suggested indirectly Neil Lennon. He could do it.

Nothing more. No rumour. No substance other than that. Tweets are there – I just had a look.

Ronny is the manager and having spoken to Paul he will be the manager throughout this campaign. We have a league to win so let’s get behind Ronny and the players and review after Season ends.

    Well done Matthew McGinley today.

  3. Some scumbag has tweeted to Leigh Griffith’s ….” I hope your kids die “…..seriously

Jail is to good for this person ….some sad individuals out there

  4. Challenge to officials already on reception decision.

Looked ok to me from the aptly named Cotchery!

  5. Newton sacked on his own 5

    Broncos recover for TD.

Extra point is good and Beonxos have a 10-0 lead

  6. Big Cam sacked! Touchdown Broncos!

Panthers on the receiving end of what they’ve been doing all season. 10-0.

  7. SID

    Yes I do.

We want 10 in a row.

We won 9 with one manager, they won it with 2 managers. Both clubs had challengers and close run things – even the Lions in 1967.

We are half after we win the league this year.

We need to pull together and support the team and their achievements will stop Ronny being the story.

Without them in our league we had the luxury of the Ronny experiment, which I preferred to Keane.

If it’s not working change in summer. Ronny has a few months to get things right and there are no more lazy, doesn’t really matter matches.

We need a run of victories and we need to support the team. Treble chat, as I said last week, was a media trap.

  8. Just in after watching that abysmal fiasco against the amateurs of EK. Then watched the Chelsea – Man U game and wondered whether I was even watching the same sport. Speed, pace, movement, one touch, control, superb first touches, incredible shooting, very frequent attempts on target.

Contrast that with the desperately poor game we saw from Celtic against a team of amateurs.

Within very recent memory, we matched Man U at Celtic Park with a superb display from Boruc and Naka. Been watching the Hoops for over 50 years. I simply can’t remember any Celtic team with the paucity of talent on display. We are absolutely shockingly incompetent, disorganized, and, frankly useless.

Our passing, shooting, crossing, creativity, effort, and general football intelligence are so bad, it is hard to comprehend. How many times do we see crosses to the far post, and there is no player there? Of course, if Efe crosses it, it doesn’t matter, because it is out the park. If EK had scored today, like other recent games, we would have deflated like a burst balloon.

If we draw Ross County or ICT away, how many think we would win? I think Deila is a nice guy, but I think he may lose us the league. I see absolutely no sign of character, identity or organization in this team. Anybody who thinks this team will win the league, then 3 CL qualifying rounds is seriously deluded. Just saying, like.

  9. Big mistake by Broncos. Give away penalty for ‘taunting’ after the play in which they sacked Cam again. But Carolina can’t take advantage of possible ‘momentum changer’.

They love the big Mo, the pundits.

    Denver has the ball again.

  10. Winning Captains

Thanks, I disagree but hope I’m wrong.

I don’t listen to the MSM rubbish, but i am looking forward to the praise heaped on us next year if we win it with Sevco in the league. Aye right.

  11. EMBRAMIKE SAYS “THE HUNS ARE DEID” on 7TH FEBRUARY 2016 7:59 PM

So at least we are in the ‘hat’ for tomorrow’s Scottish Cup QF draw at 6:30pm. Wonder if Lubo will do us a favour ?

After all, over the last 7 seasons we have been in the ‘hat’ 19 times and had only 2 home draws … and lost to Aberdeen and drew with Arbroath in those home

    Stranraer (Away), East Kilbride (Away)

2014/15 Hearts (Away), Dundee (Away), Dundee Utd (Away)

    2013/14 Hearts (Away), Aberdeen (Home)

2012/13 Arbroath (Home), Raith Rovers (Away), St Mirren (Away)

2011/12 Peterhead (Away), Inverness CT (Away), Dundee Utd (Away)

2010/11 Berwick Rangers (Away), Rangers (Away), Inverness CT (Away)

2009/10 Morton (Away), Dunfermline (Away), Kilmarnock (Away) – See more at: http://www.celticquicknews.co.uk/east-kilbride-v-celtic-live-updates/comment-page-15/#comments

So, 19 games, 2 home games drawn..

If we cancel out the 2 home draws against two away draws, we are left with a block of 15 games which despite having a 50% probability every time, failed to produce a single home draw.

    1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 = 1/32768, or:

There is a 0.0031% chance of this happening in a fair sporting draw.

Thankfully we can rest assured this is a mere statistical anomaly, as it’s the SFA that arranges the draw.

  12. IniquitousIV on 8th February 2016 12:16 a

This season’s results away to ICT and RC suggest otherwise.

  13. End of first quarter.

Simmering nicely I think, but need Carolina to score on this drive having finally made some good yardage on a Cam Newton pass.

Then game really will be on.

ADA BING!! on 8TH FEBRUARY 2016 12:00 AM

TTT- extremely harsh on Neil Lennon IMO,I don’t think we could walk a mile in his shoes.

    ******

I couldn’t even lace his shoes, never mind walk in them.

I was solely commenting on a professional level.

However, accepting his personal reasons for leaving, why would anyone even suggest his name for a position that is not vacant?

While I’m at it, as a former trade unionist, I always find it distasteful to read or hear anyone calling for someone to be sacked from his job.
