    Debate is to be encouraged.

What has happened here is just am unglorified moanfest that has ballooned out of proportion to the problem.

Well done on the high Testosterone level bud!

Still think that the team is going to hit a good run of form in the next few weeks.

The only slight concern is that we don’t have a Neil Lennon or a Barry Robson type character in the squad.

It would be an act of virtual insanity if Ryan Giggs gets the Celtic gig.

If that were to happen, then we could be 100% sure that those in charge at the club, had finally taken leave of their senses , and they should be immediately banished from Celtic Park.

    Sorry about that!

Stamina in doubt already. Might make the first half and record the rest.

Asked you after the Championship games who you thought would win tonight.

The vet or the young pretender?

I’ve seen some fantastic documentaries this week on past great coaches, players, teams and games.

If tonight has half the drama of the play-off matches it’ll be worth waiting up for!

  4. I guess I’m swimming against the tide in believing that Ronny’s position should be assessed at the end of the season.

The danger of changing horses in mid stream are obvious.

We are top of the league and if the new appointment lost the league the Ronny sympathizer sand many who aren’t, would rightly criticize a hasty board decision.

Who would want to be handed this poisoned chalice?

    Succeed and its Ronny’s team.

Fail and you threw away the championship.

    Time to stay the course.

  5. Ronnys job is far from easy to be fair, its not for a rookie in my opinion. Winning consistently is hard no matter where you play, Ryan Giggs, no thanks.

The fact that you are mentioning a timescale of when to change horse, is proof that we need to, now.

Just a thought-why would anyone choose to be locked in a room with only an X-box for company when they can lock themselves in a room with only an X-box for company, with an option to do summat else if they feel like it?

  8. If our two performances & results before today were up to standard then today’s performance/result would have been acceptable. The fact they were so poor you would have expected a positive reaction against what should have been easy meat. Yet we struggled to score against East Kilbride FFS. It took two set pieces, one of which was a handball to beat a junior team. I’m sorry but that’s pretty embarrassing, he’ll I’d have expected our development side to have taken 4 or 5 of them today.

Yes we were on a hiding to nothing & East Kilbride deserve all the plaudits going for being well organised & congrats to them but we were Rubbish. It’s never nice to see any manager lose his job but there’s something rotten at Celtic just now. I like Ronny I really do, but ultimately finances dictates we can’t sack the players so unfortunately it has to be Ronny.

0-2 v East Kilbride, on the back of two poor performance & results in important games is just unacceptable. How much longer can we afford to wait before taking decisive action? For me it can’t come soon enough.

  9. Hope you’re right. He’s been outstanding this season.

Having seen the touchdown he scored against the Cardinals a fortnight ago, I doubt he’ll have Manning’s longevity. Too brave for his own good!

Still don’t know how he didn’t break his neck!

    I watched Southampton yesterday

*me tae and felt we dodged a bullet with big Vic, his disciplinary record since he left is poor but should he have stayed would have spent hauf the season in the stands. Don’t think Wenger or any of the big clubs will be rushing to buy him. PL should be wearing a mask after separating Southampton from 12+ mill.

  11. B cup winners (Oh err missus)

No what I am seeking is a review at the end of the season.

After two years how close are we to the initial appointment objectives?

How much depth is there in the side?

What are our chances of reaching the CL with the current setup?

If the results are positive then we continue, otherwise we assess options.

  12. Saint Stivs says SACK THE BOARD on

    Watching the hibs.

A lot of battling performers. Mentally strong.

Henderson had a great game’ great deliveries into the box.

A better player than Johansen now ?

  13. Tontine

I disagree. Wanyama was brilliant for us and his red yesterday was never a sending off.

  14. auld bertie on 7th February 2016 7:57 pm Shevkenko our new Centre Half, reminds me of Franco Baresie. Too tired to correct incorrect spelling. Didbyou know Bertie Auld was Franco’s hero?

*allegedly Franco had a portrait of ten thirty up on the wall in his uomo delle caverne.

  15. Boom!!

Ellboy step up for posting another pointless (coz the last 10 pages have been filled with that pash) post.

Please email tamponsrus@gmail.com to pick up your complimentary periodal stopper.

We stepped over a banana skin and never slipped on it.

    Well done today Celtic!

Poor show to all the ladies in here whimpering and infecting the rest of us with there pash

  16. I watched much of the Hearts v Hibs game. Henderson’s crosses were miles better then what Celtic players put in today.

If the rumours are to be believed then Lenny will be in charge of our home game next week. A backward step imo if true.

*oh FFS shades of PLG and naesurname. If so I hope we don’t have an away game at ICT after the split.

  18. HT if we had a reserve league (about the standard of the championship we could have recalled hime to the next squad

  19. Tontine Tim

I thought Vic’s red was a tad harsh.

I believe the same ref had red carded him before.

Until then he has been strong and calm.

VVD also did well especially when they threw Carroll on.

I didn’t think Virgil lost a ball in the air.

    And that’s Forster’s 5th clean sheet in a row.

We provided the spine for them.

  20. Saint Stivs says SACK THE BOARD on

Watch in the celts. I don’t get to see it live today.

Broony disnae suit that Alec McNair cut.

  21. All this talk of selecting a new manager, suppose we could have got him would ranieri have been a candidate

  22. Saint Stivs says SACK THE BOARD on

That kilby goalie looks like a former Celtic player, but I can’t put a name on it.

  23. Gordon Strachan would mould this set of players into a strong unit……if we could persuade him to ‘baby sit’ for the rest of the season, whilst we look for someone of a similar ilk to lead us forward.

Thanks Ronny, sorry it didn’t work out – I’m sure you gave it your best – good luck for the rest of your career, which will probably continue with one of the top clubs in Scandinavia.

  24. eddieinkirkmichael on

Re rumour’s of Lenny coming back, I first heard them from CQN magazine, others have heard them from other sources. I hope they are wrong as it’s a backward step, Lenny could set a team up not to get beat but had no idea how to play football that could challenged Euro opposition as reflected in his last seasons dismal Euro display

  25. SFTB-great post re Neil Lennon, nobody has had to put up with so much shite for wearing our colours. FWIW I can’t see him coming back to the Lawwell/Park regime HH

  26. Big Peat of Islay on

The question we must ask ourselves, is….

Would we have beaten the Zombies today?

    Nope.

That my friends is the State of the Club.

  27. 16 roads - Celtic über alles... on

No mission that Lenny is going to walk out on Bolton.

Ronny Delia is here to stay.

If anyone is to blame it’s some of those lazy footballers whom don’t seem to care if we win or not, as long as they are lifting their hefty wage every week.

Some of them you couldn’t give away, seriously particularly considering the money they are bleeding from the club.

The thing about Lenny is this – Yes, he loved winning, however he hated losing even more.

    Over & out.

    KTF.

  28. Denver stopped inside red zone first drive.

    FG 3-0

Impressive start from Manning but Panthers defence happy with holding them to a FG

    Tontine

I disagree. Wanyama was brilliant for us and his red yesterday was never a sending off.

*no disagreeing with his ability or commitment, but and a huge but here madhun and mclean would have a field day with him.
