The very last thing anyone connected with Rangers wanted to read this morning is that Andrew Ellis, Craig Whyte’s former associate, is suing the Rangers owner for 24.9% of the club’s shares. This puts a further legal impediment in the way of any potential transfer of shares or stadium assets from Whyte to a new party. It remains to be seen if Ellis is in a position to legally enforce his claim however the veracity of his claim may be moot.
Prospective Rangers buyers do not have time to spend in court hearings and appeals before the start of the new season. If a phoenix (or even a CVA) is to be put in place it is likely that those with a claim, any claim, will need to be satisfied.
This development comes a week after Whyte transferred the security over Ibrox he holds through Rangers FC Group Ltd to Liberty Corporate Ltd.
Legal issues over ownership of shares and assets aside, Rangers’ administrators still have to deal with creditors, in particular, HMRC, who will soon learn if their tax demand against the club has been upheld by the First Tier Tribunal, and Ticketus. Duff and Phelps were denied the right to set aside the deal which Ticketus struck with Rangers to buy thousands of seasons tickets, leaving a path open for Ticketus to present a legal challenge to any deal which does not recognise their interests.
Chances of an early exit from administration appear to be diminishing by the day. Motherwell were in administration for four days short of two years between April 2002 and April 2004. If Rangers are not out of administration on the morning the new season kicks off they would start on minus 10 points.

maybe also factor in the savings on repairs, that cash will be available too as the ramopant hordes wont be there to smash seats and demolish cludgies.
I don’t suppose anyone knows a site for downloading 2012 movies, Either new dvd releases or cinema releases?
Been in lockdown for last four days after a mammoth work schedule. After long praise of Mistress Karma she proves she has a sting her tail…reduced to snippets of the title party on the radio. Karma can be a bitch. Despite the mild depression in missing out I have to say it is more than tempered by my joy for Lenny. What an achievement despite the odds stacked against him. Kudos to a young vibrant set of players. Future is very bright. And if there was an award for best supporters surely- despite “competition” from the churlish hun support- the hoops fans would win it at a canter. The fans backing has been awesome all year. It looked an incredible party. I’ve watched about fourteenn times since finishing work. A vicarious experience is better than nothing.
And what about Chaz Mulgrews performance in the first half- is that one of the greatest MOM displays we’ve seen since the days of Larsson & Moravcik? I love Chaz. He is a real Tim. A supporter. His passion & enthusiasm are there for all to see and his face just glows with honest endeavour & true joy when he puts on those hoops.
Hail! Hail!

Sometimes this blog is packed to the gunnells with holy willies.

Do all new posters have to go through this questioning and being asked if they are a hun? It is extremely unwelcoming of a new poster and perhaps this is not the family that I hoped for or thought I belonged to.

Apologies if already posted, but Douglas Fraser, Business and Economy Editor for BBC Scotland has a damning blog on SDM and MIH, particularly the selective accounting comments that accompany it and even a reference to the MSM as part of SDM’s inner circle.
Including the fact that MIH had a debt to the Bank of Scotland of a breathtaking 759 million, and that it was LLoyds TSB who told SDM to sell RFCIA.

Good stuff, as usual.
Perhaps the chairs of the swithering clubs are hoping not to have to make the decision their fans want them to make, that Rangers will buckle on its own under all the pressure it has heaped upon itself.
And of course, we can have no guarantee that there will be a coherent Newco proposal, or that there will only be one. And time is running out. Frankly, I’m still enjoying the whole show.

Faithful is the word you are looking for then again probably not!!
All the talk of IF ragers get a parachute back into the SPL is more of WHEN not IF .
IMO the Yanks would not be bidding 25m for a Scottish Football Club playing in Div 3 .
When will one of the pathetic poodle hacks ask Duff & Duffer if SPL status a condition of any of the bids ,if so ,who has given assurances that this will be the case .
The SFA/SPL have allowed this question to become an issue with their failure to clarify the situation a long time ago .

But I suggest a wee bit of reading might help with the answers you are looking for!
Should rfcia remain in administration for 1 or 10 years, I am sure the SFA will remember that they have not submitted audited accounts and cannot, therefore, be granted a license to play in any Scottish league next season….. And they cannot produce accounts without disclosing the additional debt which is still sitting in MIH accounts…….!!!!!!

have you tried mums net ?
When the Huns ask for David Healy to be sacked then I’ll say Joe has to go.

I’m not sure to be honest mate. I was on a boat trip along the gulf of Aqaba, Israel & Egypt on Friday & i was told that the Movenpick hotel is the cheapest on the bay. When do you plan to go? I’ll try get as much info as possible for you over the next week or so. It’s a great town & only just over an hour to Petra. HH

Yip, the issue of timetable is overlooked too easily, but if the SPL members vote yes for a Newco purgatory, I’m pretty sure any and all other regulatory barriers will be dismantled in time enough for them to put a team on the park from 3rd August.
As you know, while I don’t discount the value of Rangers’ Social Capital in their attempt to escape paying their creditors, I don’t think a CVA is achievable given the financial and legal circumstances. Rangers will be formally placed in Liquidation on or before the 1st of June, and what happens thereafter is anyone’s guess.
All in my own view of course.
