ENGLISH TRY TO SNATCH HOOPS WONDERKID

CELTIC’S 13-year-old sensation Karamoko Dembele is about to be snatched by England – despite playing for Scotland last month.

The Glasgow schoolboy hit the headlines last month when he made a substitute appearance in the Hoops’ Under-20 side.

Dembele was rewarded with his first Scottish youth cap earlier this month when he made his debut in the 2-2 Victory Shield draw with Wales Under-16s.

But the tiny tot playmaker is now set to line up for England’s Under-16s when they travel to Turkey next month.

The news will come as a huge concern to SFA chiefs who now stand to potentially lose one of the brightest talents to emerge in Scotland in years.

Dembele was born in London, but brought up north of the border while his parents are Ivorians. He is eligible to play for all three countries.
Under FIFA rules, he is able to represent all three youth teams, but will only be tied to one nation when he makes his competitive senior international bow.
