Hamiltontim on
TET/DD
You need to adapt to what you’ve got.
Yes Ronny’s had it tough with losing some of his better players especially a centre half pairing as good as VVD and Denayer.
However, he’s a long way from the first Celtic manager to have had mainstays sold against their will.
King Kenny was the first that I personally remember.
In my opinion we played suicidal tactics last season but with better quality. The two I’ve mentioned covered for this cavalier approach time and again. Results would have been worse had they not been as good as they are.
Despite losing them and having them replaced with players of lesser quality, the tactics and shape have rarely changed. There’s little awareness of a need or indeed a will to adapt to these new circumstances.
Team selections continue to bamboozle me at times also.
Come on, I’m desperate for Ronny to succeed and it pisses me off massively when I read and hear anyone criticising Ronny has having some sort of anti Celtic agenda.
Quite simply, I don’t see what some of you are seeing in Ronny Delia.

Imo, if we had not made so many individual mistakes, we would have grown in confidence. It wasn’t only in conceding goals. If Johansen had scored a third against Malmo, when he missed a sitter, we would have probably grown in that confidence which seems to have eluded too many of our players.
