Forrest’s long road back

465

The last thing James Forrest needed on returning to the first team after a lengthy injury absence is a two-week international break.  James needs games to deliver the match fitness that is simply not possible by training.  It could take him until the end of the season before he is at anything like his best.

John Kennedy will be keen to get James fit for the business end of the Scottish Cup, so I expect he will make substitute appearances in most games over the coming weeks, and perhaps a start on 3 April and play part of the game against Arbroath or Falkirk in the Cup itself.  The Cup is only a landmark, though, like the rest of his teammates, the priority for James is to be in peak condition for the summer’s Champions League qualifiers.

In terms of Sunday, it’s not often I say this, but I think the players owe us one.

  1. How could we honour a club which behaved so disgracefully, so shamefully, so dishonourably last night?

Connor Gouldson “for the rest of the match I just wanted to hurt someone”

Should he not be done for that ?

  4. So, after all we are as bad as them, pathetic. I was sure we were better than that but they did it first does not wash, sorry.

We have been dragged into it again. What if Hibs had won the league, what then.

    Poor poor stuff Celtic

    Yes that’s what I’ve heard .

I think Roy Keane might be good as a frontman, manager who could put a bit of steel into the players .

Aided and abetted with a good tactition.

Roy to frighten the s###e out of them and the tactician and coaches to put they’re arms around them.

Not at all. I actually agree with what you said.

Only making the point that there is a perception that people from Eastern Europe are racist. Making such an assumption is in itself a form of racism.

It’s impossible to know what was said last night as it’s between two people with different stories.

Similary, the Scottish football authorities thought it was more likely that Eastern European Tonev was guilty.

    @@@@@@

Some of the players we used to have , He most certainly would have got done . No chance of this present team battling for the points.

  8. I don’t know if anyone listened to Clyde SSB tonight. I had to turn it off after half an hour. Keevins and Duffy were deplorable. Everything was Slavia’s fault. A full onslaught against them Goebbels would have commended them. Goldson was about to be canonised for some statement he made this afternoon. He started the incident that led to the alleged racist comment by booting the ball off the grounded player and then sticking the boot into him. I would suggest he wanted to harm somebody before anything was whispered in anyone’s ear. Roofe incident mentioned but quickly moved on. Somehow Duffy found Slavia’s comments on the situation disgraceful. Slavia also said that the cameras were covered up so that Kamara could assault the Czech player without it being recorded. Kamara then fled into the dressing room. Abdul (a Celtic fan) came onto speak of his absolute dislike of Rangers but his outrage at the alleged racist comment. He wanted Slavia kicked out of the tournament. Keevins said it wouldn’t happen and Duffy said, “Why not? This could be the first.”

A lot made of Kamara’s reaction giving credence to it being a racist incident. No mention of the Hun Whisperer McCoist and the angry reaction of Neil Lennon.

I’m about to combust. Need to calm down.

  9. Why do so many believe that it was a racist comment from the Check player, maybe he covered his mouth

to protect himself and the Hun player from getting Covid19,

If you believe anything what the Hun said, I’d take it with a pinch of salt,

The Hun are trying to protect themselves, because they are in big big troubl. there are too many witnesses regarding the trouble in the Tunnel,

Thank God it was a European game and not just a Scottish League game

And that tackle on the Check Keeper is probably the worst tackle I have ever seen,If the Hun were honest they should suspend thier own player for at least for 6 monyhs.

  10. Prediction…….

thull now be allowed to go even more berserk to incite the Tims…the resultant melee

will provide sufficient headlines and photos to bury the latest hun behaviour.

  11. What did Moreloss say to the black player on the ground?

What did The Fat Gardener say to NFL?

Why do there fans do the Nzi salute?

Why do they sing about being up to their knees in catholic blood?

    Feckin hypocrites

    D :)

  12. OLDTIM67

D your post was fine ,everyone has made errors when posting, you keep doing what your doing

it’s good to hear from you.hh

  13. the latest PR from the czec team is massive

they have made a complaint to the corrupt scoddish polis and have released it in such a way, uefa have to get involved

ie, players blocking camera’s, uefa and rangers officials witnesses

now we know why the hun pr machine swung into full gear to protect and deflect

this is a shit storm that hopefully gets them banned from uefa competitions and leads to another liquidation event

  14. Go tell the Spartim on

Everything for them is always someone else’s fault, as for Keevins n Duffy, a station controlled by a bigot for bigots

If we unveil Roy Keane as manager then it merely amplifies that those who make the decisions are really 20 years too late, he’s done nothing as a manager, goodness I’d rather they gave the full job to Duff of he’s coming in. Hoping Lennybhoy can put me out my misery

  15. the worst racism I seen lately was a gathering of scottish sikhs singing anti irish and anti catholic songs ………. I cant remember what team they supported

  16. If it was upto me, I’d come out and tell the League given the further heightened atmospher as a result of the hun shame game Celtic do not wish to risk the safety of their players and staff and that of the communities living in and around Celtic Park…..

in face we are doing this for the good of Scottish football.

…………and they can get that right up thum.

    HHH.

  17. reading back on the neutrality of commentators/pundits last night after the footballer who everyone knows intimately [st johnstone] and is beyond approach had been been sent packing

the totally professional Stephen Craighan suggested THAT NO WAY ARE WE OUT OF THIS TIE

  18. God forbid Celtic go 2 up on Sunday… Sevco players will lose the plot and the game will be on the front page of the papers as o## f### shame game.

Goldson will absolutely blooter Edouard the 1st chance he gets.

Morelos- 1st person near him will get assaulted.

I’m absolutely dreading this game and I think we’ll pump them.

  19. There seems to be quite a few incidents in last night’s game that have been forgotten. Aside from the alleged “verbal assault”, there were several physical incidents. It’s hard to recall such a challenge like the one on the keeper. A double blooter by Goldson and someone else, just before the fracas. Huns emerging on the side of the righteous.

I went down to the greenhouse this morning turned the heater off as it was 34 degrees in there,I stayed in the Greenhouse for about 5mins and I started to take a wee turn which means I could fall down,,I made a move to get out but I didn’t manage it,I fell and grabbed the door which came apart and fell beside me .

Luck was on my side I got 2 small cuts and a bruised right hand,

I’ve got someone coming on Monday morning to replace the door, When I was getting someoneto fix the door I asked if they had a Glass building for to park my ass on when it starts raining,I got the answer I wanted,He said the guy thats coming on Monday will measure the Patio to see what size I wanted

  21. The Club should tell the League to go get stuffed – we’ll have marauding currants running amok………

  22. Dodgy Stevie G was hinting last night he would want game replayed..Goldsons comments about running around hurting someone are part of a ‘ my players lost it after the incident ‘

angle Gerad will go down to put pressure on UEFA to do so.

  23. Oldtim
