Gaol for the Rangers

343

I hear regular reports that Our Hero is fastidious, clever, experienced and has expert legal advice on company rescue matters.  But I read (on Random Thoughts’ blog) that he doesn’t always take great care when filling out forms or doing paperwork.

Now he has a formidable foe on his case.  Alastair Johnston, the non-exec who may have been asleep at the wheel when Rangers FC PLC (in administration) were industriously working on schemes to avoid taxation, has written to the Crown Office asking them to investigate the acquisition of Rangers by Craig Whyte.  No Surrender Johnston, as he is knows in some parts, a sleeping giant of the sports industry, is awake and he’s darn irritated!

I love good irony.  Can you believe, he wrote to the CROWN Office!  Forces of the Crown are all over this situation already.  You have to wonder how deeply Her Majesty’s officers will delve now they’re on the case.

As anyone who has followed recent perjury trials in Scotland will know, not all alleged crimes are investigated, on occasion, action needs to be in the public interest, but you have to think that if our hero has failed to cross a t or dot an i, No Surrender Johnston will pursue Our Hero like the well-pensioned accountant he is.  If his suspicions are correct, I’m sure he will not rest until it’s Gaol for the Rangers miscreants.

I cat get my head around ticketus loaning 24 million to Whyte secured against the next four years season ticket sales as that to me would be a high risk loan ie Rangers might not sell enough sb to cover the loan and the interest, or they might not be in business so no reayment etc etc.Now surely with the adminstrator having been called in they will if Rangers get an AVC at best only get a small percentage back if they go into liquidation they will get back even less.Something is not quite right with this deal ? H.H.

a mate was told by rangers (who at rangers i dont know) when he called would his season ticket still

be valid for the remainder of the season.

the answer he recieved was to say the least, unsure.

“it would be valid for saturdays game but after that

the administrator would make a decision next week

on the future validity of season books for this seasons remaining games.”

my take on it..they will need to pay at the gate

or buy tickets for the remaining games to prop up

the redies to keep them operating.

how many home games left with nothing at stake

in the league we have already won…5.

£100 per supporter to save their club till the

end of the season…lets see if they are up for it.

or indeed if they make it that long.

Hugh Keevins wasnt on SSB on the 16th. If you go to the RC website you can replay the SSb for 16th , think it was Andy Walker and Darryl King on that night , it may have been the night before but you can listen to the old broadcasts from 7th Feb

Everyone can have a listen to what he said to you so you have audio evidence. Let you Lawyer requiest a copy from RC before they delete it.

    Best of luck

Worst… Partisan Belgrade 5-4 match. 60,000 walking out of the stadium in total silence, one voice pipes up “why did we send 10 men up for the corner?”

    ================================

Surreal atmosphere that walk out of stadium. Always felt that kick in stomach was the catalyst for our troubles that followed.

As the others have said security must be their concern.

Bad enough their club is in admin, but asking them to fork out in the same week might just be like a tele screen breaking down.

I’m sure the discussions with the polis had this in mind.

I would also expect sally to go next week as well, he must be on a decent whack.

There is no dishonor in defeat, so long as you play to the limit of your strength and skill. What matters above all else is that the game is played in the right spirit!”

Paulus XLCVII, Salve salve;- Bennedicamus te, How does it feel to be drinking sweet wine from the cup of vindication? You have been on absolutely sparkling form of late and have added gereatly to the general sense of merriment and myrth. Your critique of Alex Mugabe was particularly devastating; I do not like him or his side kick we Granny Mutch (AKA Nichola Knitted Knickers) and as for his drunken dunce of a justice minister (allegedly) ? well lets just leave it. A very interesting statement from Ticketus with respect to not holding tickets but having security or words to that effect. Even more so when taken together with the Duff bros statement about our hero possibly not having the floating charge. Hmmmm as you are wont to say. Lastly, No surrender Johnstone?

  18. Paul,

just to clarify – the Ticketus company referred to in various posts are NOT the same company that the Rankers deal is with. A related company, but not the same.

    However –

Phil Betts, a former Rankers director under GEF, who jumped ship before the iceberg hit, is also the owner of a company called Primary Asset Finance, a corporate recovery group.

This company has close links to a London-based group called Close Brothers, whose non-executive director Ray Greenshields is also the chairman of Octopus VCT 3. Octopus are the company who own Ticketus, who of course own 100,000 Rankers season books??!!

So Close – who own the catering rights at Ibrox and have a higher ranking security over Rankers than GEF, share executives with Octopus? Curiouser and curiouser.
