Predicting what is about to happen in Scottish football is a bit of an art. We all realise that just about everyone has an agenda, so the first thing most of us do is ignore whatever overt line is being promoted by one or two sources of ill-repute, especially when they suggest that Sevco will definitely play football in the SFL First Division next season.
So far around 11 clubs have intimated they will vote against this proposal while only Stenhousmuir, the very club that stepped forward to give former SFA president George Peat a seat of the board after he completed his work with Airdrieoneans, have offered the Loyal support.
Apart from Stenhousmuir, only Stewart Regan and Neil Doncaster seem keen on the idea of allowing Sevco to start their sporting life in two levels up from the bottom.
Ally McCoist spoke some wise words to online channel, Rangers TV (current ownership model unclear). Having gained some first-hand managerial experience against Falkirk last season, McCoist knows that First Division football would give Sevco no guarantee of promotion. He complained that he has only six first team players at the moment, although didn’t add “and they are rubbish”.
There is also the suspicion that Sevco are not shifting a lot of season tickets, income levels could be acutely low, and their potential fans appear to have no more appetite for a grubby accommodation than anyone else. Apart from Stenhousmuir, Regan and Doncaster, of course.
McCoist addressed the prospect of additional punishments to be handed to Sevco for the misdemeanours of Rangers as a further reason to go straight to the bottom of the pile, however, he didn’t touch on the obvious point.
The only way Sevco are going to avoid penalties for Rangers EBT behaviour is if the former club is found to have acted correctly, or if Sevco make no claims to inherit Rangers club licence, name, badge or other unique identifiers.
Anyway, we have Inter Milan, Real Madrid and the Champions League qualifiers to look forward to. Bring them on!

EC67 – half way between Cancun and Peurto Morelos I believe. Also known as the middle of nowhere (why it’s always the middle, I don’t know). Sensatori resort, previously frequented by fellow EK-CQN’r jc2.
Come on Andy!
Does anyone think this is an idea for one of the teams who are showing integrity possibly Raith Rovers, who have risen above all the crap and spoken out………………………how about a wee pre-season friendly with a Cetic XI when the first team are away in Germany and Holland….give them a share of the gate money……I bet they would get a decent turnout

I’ve just seen your post re Lurgan 53.
I never met Dwyer personally but I loved his wit here on the blog. I know many people in Maghery where he had been principal. He was well repected and held in high regard..

Case Study # 1
I broke into a house. I stole a 50″ plasma and a car.
I had to take the car as I hurt my back breaking in, but the car keys were there so I took it.
I ended up off my work as a result of my bad back.
I eventually lost my job due to my absence.
A routine visit by the police resulted in me being charged.
I had to give the telly and the plasma back.
I was found guilty, fined and jailed.
My wife left and divorced me due to the shame.
I can’t get a job now due to my record and reputation.
I am now living in poverty.
Task: Categorise the above into Consequences and Punishments
Consequences:
Back injury
Unemployed
Divorced
Shamed
Unemployable
Poverty stricken
Punishments
Fined
Jailed
Stripped of the stolen goods
Case Study #2
I am a football club who spent money I couldnlt afford and……well, you know the rest.
Task: Categorise the subsequent trail of catastrophe into Consequences and Punishments and then ask Ally McCoist, Charles Green and Sandy Jardine to do the same.

Evening all, back in der Vaterland after a pleasant visit to Engurland. I overheard 3 English guys, in Gatwick Wetherspoons discussing Sevco huns 1690.One pipes up that they will have problems getting into a Sunday league at this rate, cue laughter from the 3 of them. They are universally unpopular.
Zbyszek @ 17.41,
Your grammar is very good – better than that of many native English speakers & incomparably better than my Polish (I have learned a little: do widzenia!).
I didn’t realise Lurgan53 was ill. Very sad to hear this news.
May he rest in peace.
