There was a spring in the step this morning as we look forward to Celtic taking to the field for the first time under Brendan Rodgers against Slovenians, NK Celje.
While the usual caveats apply – we’re unfit and will look it, the manager doesn’t really know the players yet – it will be interesting to see the formation, and how it contrasts to Ronny’s reign. I would also look out for wee clues as to how we will play, like how the keeper distributes the ball, and where the full backs play.

Brendan makes a lot of sense. I like him already. No knee jerk spending or releasing of players. He is really assessing the squad,I think this trip will enlighten him to who can go and who stays and what he needs to bring in. Dembelle is to add more goals to the team and give Brendan options up top.
Looking forward to game, Ciftci going to get another chance under Brendan? or has Brendan kept him as he was the best of a bad bunch.

Looks like 4-3-3 formation at least first half. Think it will be about movement both on and off the ball as the 22 players listed are the younger members of the squad there.

Last year,I spoke to his former coach from his Reading days.
(Huge guy,I spoke very politely!)
He said he is a poor trainer-he doesn’t do full blooded challenges there-but keeps ultra-fit in the gym. Also,he is a defensive mid,not a full-back.

Not a bad team at all. Whilst checking the rogues gallery to pick my team, i noticed that young Findlay’s name has disappeared, he is out of contract and must have been released. Always feel sorry when a kid comes through the ranks gets very close to first team but doesn’t quite make it.
