Hayes, Koki Mizuno and the right-mid gap

1491

You and I have been doing this long enough to remember this place in meltdown at the prospect of Celtic signing a player from another SPL club. Domestically sourced talent was regarded as unimaginative, cheap, even. Contrast this with the utter joy when we signed Koki Mizuno, who was full-on exotic, but built for finer things then competitive football.

At 29, Aberdeen’s Irish international midfielder, Jonny Hayes is certainly unimaginative, and may be comparatively cheap, but he’s also a low-risk option for Celtic, who will know what they could get (and what they will not get) from the player.

With Patrick Roberts due to report to Manchester City on his return from holiday, Celtic are short of options for right-mid, with the first Champions League qualifier only five weeks away. The manager will view this gap in his squad as an unnecessary risk to next season’s objectives.

I am utterly sick, tired and jaded of reactionary idiots banging on about immigration whenever anything happens that isn’t cricket or tea on the lawn.Apart from the fact all the protagonists have been born here why does any decent, sane person think causing more division will help the situation?

Then there’s the ones who ask not to play politics after such events when that’s exactly what they’re doing,if they weren’t then why are they not on showing solidarity and condemnation after every similar attack that happens in far away places?By only reacting to the attacks that are deemed western newsworthy you play directly into the hands of those playing politics with these incidents.

I heard May on television earlier saying enough is enough and spouting the old values nonsense.I take it she’ll recall all her troops from foreign soil and stop selling weapons that kill children daily to regimes like Saudi Arabia then?If she’s genuine about stopping the killings then stop enabling and commiting it to others. But that takes us into the realms of power and profit and it’s then the values she lies about become a bit blurry. Her and her government are as culpable in murder as any so called terrorist.

Until we value every life as sacred as the next the powers that be will manipulate and distort the views of the fearful populace to their own nefarious ends and all the while poor people will continue to die at the hands of other poor people for the benefit of the very, very few.

Best wishes to all the poor and those who have suffered great loss no matter their geographical location.

Had a little discussion this morning with a stranger at the table next to me on a similar subject.

He initiated it,honest-I was quietly reading TIME and quaffing my ale.

He is confused as to how our security services have done a wonderful job for years in preventing Islamist attacks yet three have happened in such short order.

He also pointed out that we live in a world of open government-FOI Act allows you to question virtually every action taken by the government of the day. Access which our predecessors never had.

But that it is useless when we have no knowledge of how sub-government-his term-works.

Btw,he proved you don’t have to be a Celtic fan to be paranoid. And you don’t need to be a Celtic fan to know when you’re getting shafted

  5. Seriously guys.

Has it really taken you all to read that piliger article to realise the reasons for attacks on sovereign nations.

If you don’t want to trade on the Dollar you will be attacked! And attacked without fear or favour.

And the fact gov’ts will employ arm and support jihadists to help fight their bloody wars is not new either.

Our governments and their security services are corrupt to the core in their efforts to maintain dominance, control countries and their resources, all in the name of democracy.

Since 9/11 and ignoring the Saudi involvement to target economies they wished to control and continue arms manufacturing, use, sales etc… The blood of all innocents who have died, whether from 20,000 ft to lorry’s, vans mowing down on the streets of Europe and London, knife attacks and suicide bomber, is directly on the hands of Blair, Bush (Afghanastan & Iraq), Cameron/May & Obama (Libya) and May Yemen &Trump (Yemen). When they look in their mirrors they see the faces of the evil people who planned out and enacted their cowardly terrorism that has bred the evil that now attacks across Europe on our streets.

There will be a special place for all these individuals in hell when their time comes.

The genie is out of the bottle.

    And that,my friend,is that.

The genie is out of the bottle and we have no idea how to put it back in.

A start,of course, might be made by admitting how it was allowed to escape, but we don’t want to punish the guilty,do we?

  7. BRT&H @ 1:33 PM,

    Excellent post.

John Pilger is one of the few great journalists we have remaining, he should have a broader platform for his work so we all can be properly informed.

Unfortunately as you intimate in your post these platforms are controlled by vested interests – they certainly don’t want the populace to be informed on what’s really going on.

Saw an interesting piece in The Telegraph the other day, as the polls are shifting away from the Conservatives, they were critising the “oppositions” use of Internet Robots (bots) that were spreading articles over Social Media.

Guess they haven’t managed to control that YET.

It reminded me that a few years ago during the Great Football Swindell – when the SMSM got annoyed and referred to Scottish Football’s prominent contributors as Bampots.

Of course after many revelations, leaks and court cases, we find the SMSM were spinning lies and the Bampots (including your good self) were right.

Let’s hope the “Bambots” allow people to hear the alternative to the spin and make a real difference to the outcome of the election.

If The Telegraph and the Barclay Bros. Are rattled, it suits me.

I start from the default position of not believing what they tell me, I question everything, most of the time they tell me the truth, but some of the time it’s blatent lies, 9/11 is a classic example, many more better educated people than I can testify to it being an inside job, some have even lost their lives for speaking out.

There have been countless false flags happening for many years now, but as ever I will be vilified for my questioning them, but I will be proved right at the end of the day, I would wager my grandweans lives on it, along with my own obviously.

To a degree I believe these attacks are allowed to occur at times when our politicians have big questions to answer in their respective countries in attempts to frighten and manipulate the electorate.

Look at The Manchester bomber. Within 2 hours they knew who he was and subsequently within hours were arresting others. Look again today, 12 arrested within 12,hours of attack. These stewards of democracy know exactly what they are doing.
