Hayes, Koki Mizuno and the right-mid gap

1491

You and I have been doing this long enough to remember this place in meltdown at the prospect of Celtic signing a player from another SPL club. Domestically sourced talent was regarded as unimaginative, cheap, even. Contrast this with the utter joy when we signed Koki Mizuno, who was full-on exotic, but built for finer things then competitive football.

At 29, Aberdeen’s Irish international midfielder, Jonny Hayes is certainly unimaginative, and may be comparatively cheap, but he’s also a low-risk option for Celtic, who will know what they could get (and what they will not get) from the player.

With Patrick Roberts due to report to Manchester City on his return from holiday, Celtic are short of options for right-mid, with the first Champions League qualifier only five weeks away. The manager will view this gap in his squad as an unnecessary risk to next season’s objectives.

  2. I’m not sure one way or the other about the right to bear arms

    there are pros and cons

but I think it takes a lot more than just willing to be able to pull a trigger

PHILBHOY I too think I’d do anything possible to defend my own ……….but don’t think shooting would be possible for me ……….Thank you for your thoughts for me and mine its much appreciated,

There are very few flashpoints along the route from the ports as most of the journey is on the motorway

unless there are diversions (which are very unlikely) tell your good wife the risks are minimal

Bus convenors usually organise on the ferry to stay together , convoy type and are well aware of keeping flags from back windows

We travel to these matches with no hassle (except finding parking spaces) from The North .

    hope this helps

I would prefer a government that guaranteed the right to” bare bottoms” rather than a right to bear arms.

Normally I would be very sceptical about this type of gig. Tonight I feel very happy to look at the faces in the crowd and see that there is nothing, nothing greater than a child’s smile.

There are hurdles to clear in all our lives, none as great as anyone who has lost a child . HH

My proposal would be different to the USA right to bear arms where they give out guns to anyone who can pull a trigger.

In my utopia the right to bare bottoms would be reserved for those who pass the strictest of tests. So I think Ms May and Ms Sturgeon would probably not qualify

  12. Why not Patrick Roberts and Jonny Hayes?

Certainly would change the mild blog resentment of the impending Hayes signing, which is only

present because Jonny is an inferred Paddy for Paddy replacement mainly instigated by SMSM who are desperate to see Man City keep Roberts far away from their sickened Sevconess

The atmosphere is gloom in the press with impending Celtic cash windfalls that Scottish football has never seen not even when original Rangers were stealing money via David Murray’s evil disgraced empire.

Patrick Roberts is made for Celtic and the bid to get him should be gallant.

No I don’t think the loss of any human life is a joke or laughing matter and let me offer my sincere apologies if I have crossed a line. It wasn’t my intention.

I understand your anxiety about wanting to protect your family. It’s obviously the most basic human instinct.

On a serious note I don’t think allowing more access to firearms is a good thing

  14. TBH. I had never heard of Ariana Grande till last week. However I have children of the same generation and I really admire her professionalism and her application to her fans tonight.

I have never idea if she is a great singer or not however that is not an issue tonight.

I agree, sign both Johnny & Paddy……but only one wants to play in the qualifiers (in my opinion) if Paddy doesn’t return, fair play, we move on, Johnny Hayes (if Brendan wants him) will try his best to get us to the CL group stages, Paddy (again my opinion) will only come back if other options are exhausted

  19. Dallas Dallas: just to confirm what Dena said. Journey from Belfast port to Dublin is by motorway. You are very unlikely to encounter any problems.

I’ve been doing that route for twenty years with no hassle. I don’t allow flags to be displayed in windows while travelling in the North.

Likewise, I had never heard of Arinna Grande, after the Manchester stuff the next day I was getting MissGFTB sorted for school, sadly for me I wasn’t shocked with the attack, the scary part for me was when she asked “dad, can that happen here” I couldn’t say no, she has tickets for Little Mix in October, in my wee insular life why should an 8 year old be worried…..likewise in every single country from here to Timbucktoo

I totally understand. It’s hard enough being the parent of a teenage girl ( mine are 19 and 22) and slowly letting go as they go out into the world to find there own way, I have spent nights lying awake in bed worrying until 6 am when I finally hear the key turning in the door. That’s just the usual worries of teenagers on a night out and all the things that could go wrong, without throwing in the crazy terrorism threat that the western world now faces where innocent teenage girls have become targets.

so once again I apologise if my flippant comments caused you any distress.

But sometimes laughter ( if my feeble attempt at humour worked) is a valuable weapon in this crazy world
