Hayes, Koki Mizuno and the right-mid gap

1491

You and I have been doing this long enough to remember this place in meltdown at the prospect of Celtic signing a player from another SPL club. Domestically sourced talent was regarded as unimaginative, cheap, even. Contrast this with the utter joy when we signed Koki Mizuno, who was full-on exotic, but built for finer things then competitive football.

At 29, Aberdeen’s Irish international midfielder, Jonny Hayes is certainly unimaginative, and may be comparatively cheap, but he’s also a low-risk option for Celtic, who will know what they could get (and what they will not get) from the player.

With Patrick Roberts due to report to Manchester City on his return from holiday, Celtic are short of options for right-mid, with the first Champions League qualifier only five weeks away. The manager will view this gap in his squad as an unnecessary risk to next season’s objectives.

The solution is to stop selling western taxpayer subsidized weapons to the Middle East. That’s the source of the problem. Britain and the US and Europe sell weapons to saudia Arabia for example and they arm isis. Stop selling them weapons and when they have to get up close to one another to club each other to death they will soon decide education is the answer. The source of the immorality is tax subsidized murder exported to the Middle East by western governments

    Who broke the blog?

    I couldn’t see any posts.

When does the post season end?

I don’t care what games Scotland may have.

I care not for the UEFA rich club tournament if Celtic aren’t playing.

All that’s left are reruns of various Celtic games on Celtic TV, Cup Finals, SPFL teams being buried at Celtic Park and various stadia around Scotland.

At least I’m getting value for my increased Celtic TV fee.

    Incredible Celts.

The problem lies in Saudi oil wealth.

Much of that revenue is dedicated to finance the spread of Islam around the world.

It underwrites mosques and radical Imams.

    This predates 911.

Fundamentalism was prevalent in the Gulf since the 70s.

The various Emirates fed it to preserve safeguard their dynasties, wealth and safety.

In other parts of the region, not necessarily friendly towards Wahhabism, any deviation from the party line was quelled ruthlessly.

As an example, check out Assad’s ruthless suppression of the Muslim Brotherhood’s Hama uprising in 82.

Without western weapons they would have Russian weapons, or North Korean or Chinese.

Or like Pakistan they would create their own bomb.

I just watched the end of the Orlando Chicago MLS game.

Orlando had two men sent off but managed to hang on for a 0-0 draw.

They have obviously learned from us as they were encouraged and driven by their inspiring standing section.

    Every ground should have one.

  10. Stop selling weapons? Oh dear. Stop making weapons surely.

Who does these things? After the last seventy years without a “world war” but with war all over the world how could any woman or man with a conscience help to make guns and bombs and warbird aeroplanes and bows and arrows and knives and forks?

And when we stop making the weapons, how would we kill the food we need to live?

When I was a child I had a nice job in Faslane for a while, helping in a small way to look after our nuclear deterrent. Mea Culpa.

Could be the wrong type of Terrorism…

Interesting when we go back to the Arab Spring. When the good folks of the Middle East Rose Against their Leaders.

Examples; Successful in Lybia overthrowing the regime, on going in Syria, brutally suppressed in Bahrain. Snuffed out before it started in Wahhabi States.

Seems like it worked out for the Saudi/Western Alliance as a far as who they like/do not like;)

Egypt was interesting… Huge Army Funded by the USofA and Partners.

President Mubarak – Army Chief, long time leader, very wealthy man – but enduring a HUGE revolt against him.

Reluctantly after embarrassing brutal suppression the powers that be had to let him go and support the People and the Democratic process.

Mubarak was overthrown and sentenced to Death.

Elections took place – the winners – The Muslim Brotherhood… Oooops, wrong type of Democracy.

Get the (USofA backed) Army back out, overthrow the Brotherhood and Democratically Elected President Morsi, Pardon Ex-president Mubarak… SNAFU.

So the Muslim Brotherhood it seems are the wrong type of Terrorist.

Wouldn’t be over concerned… Qatar has a Huge American Airlines Base, Barahain has a Huge American Naval Base… My prediction, pals again in no time…

Hello again all you young rebels.

Just back from the peninsula another wonderful tribute night to our

Lions and what a night it was, a busload from the Jock Stein CSC in

St Kilda came through to our venue and i thought our bhoys could

dance and sing but those ghuys nailed it, it was hilarious hearing the

Celtic….COYBIG… coming from both ends of the hall like a battle of

the banjoes. Our main guest of the night was the president of the

west Australia Perth CSC Andy Gordon and his wife who took the time

and effort to attend our gig and it was very much appreciated by

    everyone.

Another of the speakers was an ex pro footballer Frank McAleer who

regaled us with some hilarious tales of his time playing in the old

Scottish league with Clydebank and his jousts against Jinky, the first

time he played the wee genius nutmegged him twice in the first

minute so frank thought ” next time he gets the baw Celtic player or

not he’s going into the stand ” so Jinky gets the ball again with his back

to him and Frank flew at him only Jinky sent the ball one way and

swivelled the other and Frank ended up on his erse on the running

track, so being a sensible person he decided he would try another way

to end his humiliation, so he got a hold of the wee mhan at half time

and asked him not to do that to him again, and Jinky said how no?

Frank said ” cause am a Celtic supporter as well as you ” and Jinky

true to his word never tried to nutmeg him again but beat him every

which way for the rest of the game. lol.

BIg shout out for all the CQN,rs family members who attended and

said they would look into the blog especially EDDIEINKIRKMICHAEL’S

lovely daughter Emma who managed to Skype her dad during the

sing song and although i couldn’t hear a word you were saying Eddie

the pics of the lions and other stuff you were showing me on her

phone were class so hopefully if your coming over in November like

she said we can get a few drinks together in the Aussie sunshine.

Lastly as it’s been a long post the highlight of the night apart from

PADDYMACOZ giving us another rendition of …The Glasgow Cat…

was when we were asked to be upstanding for the big cup and two

of our young members resplendent in the hoops entered the hall

holding aloft an exact replica of the the trophy, i swear with my auld

eyes at the back of the hall it was Bobby M. and big Billy, a very

emotional moment and the whole place went wild.

Nothing more to say except another load of money raised for the sick

    kids and other needy causes.

The Celtic family eh! wha’s like us?
