Hayes, Koki Mizuno and the right-mid gap

1491

You and I have been doing this long enough to remember this place in meltdown at the prospect of Celtic signing a player from another SPL club. Domestically sourced talent was regarded as unimaginative, cheap, even. Contrast this with the utter joy when we signed Koki Mizuno, who was full-on exotic, but built for finer things then competitive football.

At 29, Aberdeen’s Irish international midfielder, Jonny Hayes is certainly unimaginative, and may be comparatively cheap, but he’s also a low-risk option for Celtic, who will know what they could get (and what they will not get) from the player.

With Patrick Roberts due to report to Manchester City on his return from holiday, Celtic are short of options for right-mid, with the first Champions League qualifier only five weeks away. The manager will view this gap in his squad as an unnecessary risk to next season’s objectives.

As I recall the late Paddy Sweeney wouldn’t allow football colours on his buses when they were travelling through Ayrshire.

    So idiocy is OK then?

Seriously, people need to get a sense of proportion and perspective.

And as for the 2nd theme- “don’t let them into the country”- the vast majority of these acts have been committed by persons born into the country in which they committed the acts.

After reading and hearing the story of the cop who was overpowered by the 3 radicalised terrorists who were attacking indiscriminately innocents with only his baton as defence I think now, with a very heavy heart, it is time that our Police officers carried side arms. That said I would also add that thereafter the Police and all those joining are more thoroughly scrutinised and Policed themselves.

Arming you and I or even giving us the right legally to bare arms will be more dangerous to every single one of us in the long run. As an example think of those who you know who have previously been attacked indiscriminately in the past and if the weapons they held had been different what the outcome would have been.

    Scary buddy.

And then add to that the profit and smiles you’d be putting on the faces of the munitions companies. Companies who are all partly to blame along with our governments for the blood on our streets and the masses of more blood on the streets, homes, hospitals, schools of foreign countries.

If there comes a day I am ever in the unlikely event faced by a few drugged up radical extremists I will be directing my anger at our own government and leaders and those who radicalise stupid wee boys before they become the men who’d understand what they are told is wrong.

Our politians and their secret services who allow these known individuals to roam are as much holding the weapons as those who use them.
