Hayes, Koki Mizuno and the right-mid gap

1491

You and I have been doing this long enough to remember this place in meltdown at the prospect of Celtic signing a player from another SPL club. Domestically sourced talent was regarded as unimaginative, cheap, even. Contrast this with the utter joy when we signed Koki Mizuno, who was full-on exotic, but built for finer things then competitive football.

At 29, Aberdeen’s Irish international midfielder, Jonny Hayes is certainly unimaginative, and may be comparatively cheap, but he’s also a low-risk option for Celtic, who will know what they could get (and what they will not get) from the player.

With Patrick Roberts due to report to Manchester City on his return from holiday, Celtic are short of options for right-mid, with the first Champions League qualifier only five weeks away. The manager will view this gap in his squad as an unnecessary risk to next season’s objectives.

    No apologies necessary my friend.

Being a parent brings its own worries.

Please let me have your notes!

    Take care!

  2. Anyone who is daft enough to read my posts will know that I spend a fair bit of time in Manchester and London.

I cannot say that I have ever experienced anything other than friendship in both cities ,

Perhaps I chose my friends well or I have just been lucky.

I will be back in Manchester this week and love the city to bits. A truly working class city with a great football tradition , not an expert but I feel that the majority of tears shed tonight will not be crocodile tears.

The right to bear arms has definitely made the USA a lot safer place. Last year there were only 16,000 murders in the USA and 1.2 million violent crimes. Also I agree with May, enough is enough. Time the internet was privatised. Awe this islamic gollywagging and fake news. Whatever next? football blogs?

    Good Evening fholks

Lovely day today, watched my youngest “Celtic cutiepie” play 7s today, whilst Mrs CRC was out running a wee 10k in the sun. She has come home with a dinosaur I think, but is going on about Plantar fasciitis. Maybe it is a flower? A wee family meal at home, outside in the sun, rounded off with gubbing Deccyrollercoaster at table tennis 22-20! What’s not to like :-)

Anyway a nice wee day. Hope the same was had on you all.

If the transfer window doesn’t open until July1st. and the qualies start around the 11th., I can’t see anyone we sign participating in the first round.

Caceres looked like a player who hadn’t played much football recently. The touches are there, but his timing was off. Late in the tackle and dwelling on the ball a fraction.

Training and match sharpness should sort it out.

Hayes was not involved much in the first thirty minutes or so.

I put this down to having no link up with his full back Ward, who never gave him a useful pass.

Reminiscent of Alan Thompson’s one cap for England.

On the other wing, Christie and Brady linked well.

Martin possibly saw this too, as he swapped Hayes and Brady and the former was more effective.

In fairness to philbhoy he is just expressing his worry about his family .

He would probably express the same feelings in his local bar amongst his pals.

As this place is often referred to as a cyber pub and we generally regard ourselves as friends, surely he has every right to express himself on here.

We can disagree with his solution but we don’t have to insult each other

Gerry, she had a great time thanks but as she is a bit accident prone, she hurt her left shoulder but doesn’t know how .

We managed to get her through to Balerno in time, just. i was told all the roadworks and traffic cones round the Raith Interchange , the M74 and M8 were finished. When I got to the Raith , the road up to Bellshill was shut so we had to head off towards Motherwell , go through there then was stuck behind an articulated lorry until we got to the M8.

For all those drivers who have suffered all the delays while the work on the M8 and M74 caused hours of delay, the now finished new lay out and set up is quite impressive.
