With all due respect your question is hardly worth answering…but for your satisfaction I will. Gordon apart, there are multiple goalkeepers better than Barkas and Bain….but they don’t play for us so why bring it up?

I would love to be in the vicinity of the Director’s box for the Dundee game, as I would inform them exactly what I think of their performance to date. I would probably be escorted out of the stadium.
Really don’t get the Taylor hate. Constant out ball, crossing a bit naff but rarely loses the ball other than over hit crosses (which seems a curse for so many celtic full backs). Set up a goal that should have stood and is up and down the line for 90 minutes solid.

they reckon it could have been a straight red

One consolation is that I was listening to Hearts TV and not Sky. Said at H/T could not see where the goals were coming from, until Anthony scored. Terrific goal from great move disallowed, and did get to see the replay a couple of times, never offside. And as for the “foul” which led to the goal, well, Madden started to give them every time we made a challenge, and here is the key part, came away with the ball. Hearts got their tactics spot on, in part dictated by our possession, a la Midgieland, and had a good sub wide right late on, made our new bhoy look lightweight, much like our midfield generally. Only loanee I would have kept was Mo Ellynoussy, bit inconsistent but we could have use him in a game like this. On days like this…..

Ange needs to be looking at bringing in a coach. One that organise a side. We’re a shambles and we don’t have the coaching staff to change it. This shouldn’t come as a surprise given we’ve kept almost everything identical to last season.

Same old same old with Hun officials. Just makes our victories all the more impressive. Ange would never have been my first choice but I’d sooner watch his teams lose than some of Lenny’s scrape victories. He is taking our style back in the right direction and if we give him time and support we will be a happier group next summer. We need to hold our nerve till the end of the transfer window, get rid of those who don’t want to be here and bring in those that do. Hail hail and coybig. Xx

Night night y’all. Batten down the hatches, it’s going to be a long season. Looking forward to many more players coming in and playing.
Did well when he dropped deep centrally and showed lots of good touches, played the midfield in on several occasions. Offered nothing in terms of being a number 9, because he’s not. But put in much more effort than midweek.

Could be proved wrong but I would imagine his stats would show him being one of the better players on the pitch tonight. Lots of fans with blind distain.

No idea what Hearts dude said.
The simple fact, for simple people, is that we let Craig Gordon do without having had
an acceptable replacement.
Now then, we spent approximately 5 Million spondulux on the Greek Tragedy.
How did that turn out?
Not bigly good, I would say.
Very BADLY

we played some neat and tidy passing with good movement at times but eddy hasn’t had a shot at goal the last 2 games , he had a solitary header tonight with more back heals to no one . good to see J Kennedy has improved our set piece defending and that G Stracken has still got his laptop to instruct our new centre forward to play wide left.

The Board don’t have closed stadiums to shelter them this season. They should remember that.
Anyone pointing to Madhun tonight can point again later in the season. Maybe even later in the week.
All I need is a birthday tweet tomorrow from the club and it’ll almost be like last season never ended.

Hearts played almost every ball down our left because no one was home.
Now that might be what he has been told to do, and if that is the case then the manager thinks that a team that can’t defend doesn’t ned a left back. The first goal comes from him being missing. Every other player is pulled left out of position and Ralston is left to cover 3 players. Watch it back.
Maybe Ange thinks we are fine at the back and can go forward at will, We’ll see how that goes,
IniquitousIV on
People talking about Halliday red card tackle on McGregor. It was a red, but why on earth do we not do the following? McGregor should have stayed down, unmoving, the sign of the seriously hurt. The other players should have surrounded Madden, protesting. The first time would probably make no difference, but if you keep doing it, it is taking up camera time ( harder for TV to cut out minutes rather than seconds ) and increasing focus on the MIB ( and on Halliday ). The Italians and Spanish are accomplished at this. Play smart and respond. We are being cheated fir God’s sake.

Midway through the second half, I realised that I didn’t expect us to score a winner. Years of seeing us never beaten and getting late winners are a distant memory.
I suspect teams no longer fear us. They know how to set up and beat us.
I suspect we’ve a team that no longer expects to score late winners.
We’ve a mentality problem as well as huge weaknesses throughout the team.
I’m still at a loss as to how Bitton started tonight. No idea why we play Forrest on the left. A panic substitution after we go behind late on. Fitness problems, set piece shambles and no delivery from our full backs (bar a wonder goal). It’s all very familiar.

what’s the point of talking about them?
Well, I’d say that they left for a variety of reasons but that is not the point.
One left as a kid that we did not anticipate as a future asset and one was so strong that we
could never seriously keep him on board.
I have never been a fan of Bitton and his recent antics have not changed my mind on that.
The Craig Gordon issue is completely different. He was our guy and parsimoniously
we let him go. He is a much better keeper than the expensive plonkers now on our books.
That is very clear. Useless managerial decisions as per usual.
Sadly.
