It was a great result even though we played pretty poorly for a lot of the game. As another team proved over the years, the result is what matters and not how you get it. I refer to the builders of brick walls who just stopped short of fuel filled ditches to stop the other team and on at least one occasion reduced their pitch size to achieve the same. Strangely, we were far too strong for them in the last 10 minutes. Was it Lenny’s plan to tire them out and then go for it in the dying minutes? Certainly, the amount of passing TO THEM we put in would give credence to this tactic and, in the end, with a bit of foresight and composure, we could have had 5/6. On the other hand big Fraser done his job to the nth degree to keep us in it for a long time. However, I started chewing my fingers for the first time in many a season, had wobblies in my tummy, did not do my ticker problems any favours and was happy to have a wet warm leg rather than go to the loo. I feel great tonight and want to simply wallow in success rather than dissect technicalities. I hope you all feel the same.

It’s easy to be critical after a poor result, but it takes a special talent to be on a complete downer after a night like tonight.
Aye,we know we could do wi some improvement, but have a night off, mate, and just enjoy tonight, and tomorrow at work when you bump into the occasional-should I say odd,haha-hun.

I thought when we played Helsinki we looked fitter than them at the end of the game, same again tonight…………good sign…hopefully a couple of players coming in now to take us forward

Was it not rogne and Wilson that were cb in the tour of Australia, and were they not rock solid there.
Absolutely buzzing after that result.Yes we had to ride our luck at points but we could have scored four in an away leg.Great to see us score in the first couple of minutes instead of conceding .

What a result though, Forster, Forrest, and Sami were sensational. No failures , even after a dodgy first half Charlie came onto a game.

What’s the issue?
I called the games as I saw it.
A bunch of under coached but talented misfits pulling a stroke on a team of enthusiastic but limited Journeymen who proved that a lot of blood, sweat and tears will win you a league in Scandinavia.
We have been due a turn in Europe for a decade.
Tonight we were repaid in full.

I am ecstatic about that result and if it were against Man U I’d be wholly satisfied with the performance. Helsingborg are a long, long way from Man U so why the comparison.
The goals were great, the first half performance scary but much improved in the second half. Lots of luck and two great goals. Gotta love that but…

You’re never a Celtic supporter in yer life.
You may call yourself one and when you meet a stranger and they ask you what team you support, you may reply Celtic, but you’re never a Tim.
Of the two teams we were looking for wins tonight, CFR Cluj gained a credible 2-1 lead in their away leg v Basel and will hopefully progress to the next round; Borussia Monchengladbach appear to be heading for the Europa League (and the removal of one of our ‘move up a pot’ chances) after their 3-1 home reverse against Dinamo Kiev.
Tomorrow night, we’re looking for home wins for Malaga and Limassol against PAO and Anderlecht respectively.

Ki is the man.
Disappointed that he made it that obvious he wanted away.
He will make his mark in top level football, unfortunately not in a hooped shirt.
Really enjoyed that game of football. The Celtic rollercoaster in full flight!
Could have been 3-1 down and we could have been 5-0 up.
Room for improvement and honest look must be taken at the shape of the team in the first half.
But it’s football, you’re allowed to enjoy it.
Job more than half done. Total concentration next week and we are in the Champions League proper. Great financially, great for attracting players, great for keeping the good ones we have, great for keeping the fans interest, great for the club’s profile.
And by the way – James Forrest Man of the Match.

I don’t care that we got a bit of the luck that deserted us for 10 years.
This is a huge result – never mind the money stuff, it’s huge for our young team.
We are breeding a team with a mentality of winners. The pressure got to them a bit tonight but they battled though it. Games like that tonight are invaluable.
We won!!!!!!! 2-0!!!!!!! Away in Europe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Proud of the team tonight. FF was super Jamsie played great when he came on Sammy was magnificent. Lenny got decisions correct.
But a quick scan read back shows that this site has a lot of idiots posting, the usual crowd and some posters that only pop up during match.

Thank you Celtic!
Good night!
Well done to the team tonight, good professional performance (except when we lost it a bit for around 15 to 35 mins in the first half).
Good to see us being favorites in a European tie and coming through with the result, sets it up nicely for a full house next week.
Hopefully the younger players in the team will learn from this type of experience.
What was Raman the hurting meaning by a guests colourful language? Missed it..
