In summary, our players were technically superior and took their chances. Aside from the obvious comments above I do like Rogne, an uncompromising cb who does his job well but not without blemishes. Mulgrew is the bees knees in adaptability Great result as I predicted but did not capitise upon. Hzh

Wilson never started tonight for a reason. It is easy coming fresh into a game when every one else has ran around for an hour.

  3. msm : Celtic win 0-2 but face uphill challenge at Parkhead. Swedes pose difficult proposition and are favourites to progress. How long will Lennon stay.

There : I’ve written the numpties copy for them. Now they can get down the pub and destroy their livers.

Glasgow’s Green and White and don’t ever let the presstitutes forget it!

    HH!

Paul67 refered to an adrenaline pumped evening – well my pants are full of adrenaline

  5. Kayal wasn’t doing anything in the first half. Not protecting the back four and not going forward. Great sub to put Forrest on to roast their left back. We also nullified the threat on our left in the second half. Players must be pleased the job is almost done and we can all look forward to spending some cash and games against top class opposition.

  6. WHAT AN AWAY PERFORMANCE!! Qualification assured!!!

The Ramsdens Cup- well done Sevco!!

  7. Well…. The swedes are no mugs, fast attacking team, remind me a bit of Swansea (those world beaters). They will be in their element next week counter attacking us. I would like to see Celtic play the same cautious approach next week. The tie in more or less won. No cavalier shenanigans please.

First half was a mare, defence bad night for the entire team. We weathered the storm and looked much much better in the second half with James Forrest as the out ball.

john Collins made a very good point on Al Jazeera TV, we have played far better away from home over the years and lost due to a combination of bad luck, bad refereeing, cheating and individual balls ups…. We are due a bit of luck and we got it tonight.

Onwards and upwards. We will beat anyone at home and if we can pick up a point or two away from home we will make the Europa league parachute at least. Happy and realistic days ahead my friends in timdom.

  8. 67Heaven ... I am Neil Lennon..!!.. Ibrox belongs to the creditors on

What a great team NEIL has developed …….God Bless NIEL LENNON, AND EVERYONE CELTIC PARK…….EVERYONE ……. !!!!!!!!!

  9. Wee Gordon says Celtic will be giving away free pens tomorrow. I doubt it. You can tell the wee man is delighted for Lennie.

Unbelievable result! Never mind the performance, I’ll accept this every time in Europe. We now need to finish the job with an early goal at Celtic Park. Congratulations to Neil for the inspiured substitution of Forrest, wonderful.

However, a number of our players need a kick up the jacksie. I am a huge Gary Hooper fan but he was a lazy hound tonight. Izzy was very shaky. What. has happened to Sammy? He is consistently brilliant. I’m not sure I can come to terms with it :-)

Congratulations to Lenny and the team. Surely we can do this?

  11. All ah can say is phewwwwwww.

Not a classic performance and we still walk away (ahem) with a two nil win.

    Ah take that!

Thought the bhoys played as nervous as ah felt the night.

  12. Sometimes you just feel that your heart could burst with pride at being a Celtic supporter.

You seemed to take the nip and throw your dummy oot the pram when we went two up?? why was that? result not suit you……….nuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuget

  16. Tomorrow’s headline in Scotland will be the shock result in the super Ransden’s Cup with new side “The Rangers” of the third division beating first division Falkirk. Surely that’s worth a four page pull out special?

I’m sure our wee win will get a mention somewhere on the inside pages.

  17. sevco won tonight as well

does that mean we can get them in the group st…..oh, that’s right, i forgot!

  18. Is that now four in a row unbeaten away from home in European competition?? Hmmm, does this qualify as a ‘run’ or are we still tagged with ‘awful away record’….. Great result.

  21. A statue for Neil Francis Lennon. Celtic F.C. mhan and bhoy! He can walk into that board and throw down the challenge.

  22. Total respect to oor Fraser! We woulda been gubbed without him. Hope we are smart enough to realise we need to finish this – nothing guaranteed at this stage

Hello , just to let you know that I am planning to take part in a 50 mile cycle from Glasgow to Edinburgh, 09/09/2012

During the next 21 days I plan to train very hard in order to be able to take part in this cycle where I would hope to be able raise some funds for “Wee Oscar Knox” who is 3 year old kid and is not keeping very well just now.

You can read Oscar’s story on web link below
