So how many of us checked the fixture schedule a month or so back and thought, “We can win the league on the St Patrick’s Day weekend”? Then came Motherwell and Ross County, now we will do well to win the league on the same date as Gordon Strachan’s team did in 2006. This seems to exercise Neil Lennon more than me. I’ll take the win anytime, although where it’s won is far more important.
Having said that, anything other than a victory tomorrow would be a sign of something gone wrong. Aberdeen have been wretched in recent months and the Celtic players have benefited from a rare free midweek, allowing rest and preparation. They will also have more than sufficient feedback on last week’s capitulation to ensure muscles are itching to go.
This month’s edition of CQN Magazine has just launched, some have said the best yet! We take you from Helsinki to heave, these have been special times for Celtic and we know how to enjoy them……….
It’s written by the CQN community, for the CQN community, and is absolutely free to read online (special thanks to those who voluntarily subscribed, the lights have been kept shining as a result).
You can read the Magazine by clicking on the double headed arrow at the bottom right of the graphic below.

The Daily Record story about attendances. The difference between us and Sevco is that we have sold 43,000 season tickets. Sevco actual attendance is also made up with people with free tickets.
We really are going to see another Jelly & Ice cream summer…

Bet you weren’t feeling the cold after the 2nd mile…….
I think I prefer running in freezing cold, howling wind or lashing rain and sometimes all three. But then I was the big 6ft plus clogger centre half who loved slide tackling in the mud but was lost on a lovely sunny day and a flat surface!! Coulda played in the SPL!
Random comment over.

I’m on a hot streak with predictions just now, get it on.
Morning All,
I have a client visiting Glasgow next week with his wife. He would like to go to a good pub with hopefully some live folk music. Has anyone got any suggestions ?

What was that phrase once popular on this site? Ah yes, ‘Never interupt your enemy when they are making a mistake’
The only question we need to ask ourselves is: ‘Ben and Jerry’s or Carte D’or’?
Aff oot. May yer day be blessed and lang may yer lum reek…..

even with the freebies there were lots of empty seats at the big third division ground last week. The novelty is wearing off and even though many remain defiant, the fact that they are watching tripe is finally sinking in. More of the same next year please.
He’ll need to try and trick them further, a pound to get in and £25 for a pie sounds good.

Taranis I think ASoD was being a bit tongue in cheek re the Tolbooth bar, he’d maybe not be your client anymore if he took the wife there ;-)

The dr really is a ‘piece of work’ …….. The Celtic picture is our away end and the sevco picture is their home end ……small-minded bias, to put it mildly…..hahaha ……and when it’s a negative story, Celtic get the honour of having their name mentioned first ….LOL
Never mind……at least Scotland won’t have to suffer the embarrassment of another ‘Manchester’ again…..and I ‘missed’ the praise Celtic received for restoring some of Scotland’s reputation in Europe this year…..I’m confident the dr will have majored on the praise our fans received from the Italian and Spanish media / Police etc …….pity I missed that
Looking forward to the game today……..
Live update – snow just starting to fall…
Roy Croppie, the 5-0 score did cross my mind but I was scared to post it in case VP was around :-)

He was quick off the mark the ole devil. I just think the ‘fresh’ and chastised Celts will give auld Broon’s team a spanking.

Try Jinty McGinty’s in Ashton Lane of Byres Road.
Molly Malones in the city centre (don’t have the street name) is also an option.
Also if you simply Google live folk music , Glasgow.
Jinty’s is where I would go.
Nice pub, relatively safe . Good eateries all around.

Morning all..any news on the oscar cyclists?anyteam news also?
Taranis.
I took my wife and 70 year old mother in law to the Tolbooth during the summer.
They have a Dubliner singing to a backing track.
We had a great time.
It was earthy , but we really enjoyed it.
It was however a different kind of folk music (:-)
Infact we met friends of Bada Bing.

Just came across this quote from Paul67 back in October:
The Champions League competition is about very good technical football. It has nothing to do with running after the ball that somebody kicked forward

Maybe it was a double bluffed!
The published attendances for the Old Firm’s home games have been inflated by up to 20,000 people per-game.
A Daily Record investigation found that for Celtic’s home game against Ross County in December, the club reported an attendance of 49,428 to the SPL. However, FOI requests for 2012 data showed that the club told Strathclyde Police just 28,931 were at the ground. The force asks clubs for accurate data to manage policing levels.
Overall, Celtic’s home attendance through the turnstiles was inflated by 36% by the time it appeared on the SPL website, with Rangers’ given a 26% boost in press figures. Season ticket holders who don’t show up to games but are counted as ‘attendees’ by clubs are believed to make up a large proportion of the shortfall. (Record)
Offski to join join 75,000 at Old Trafford today just as well I didn’t believe the predictions there would be a title party at Celtic Park today

I see the GB are marching from the Gallowgate to Celtic Park today. Any criminals out there fill yir boots. The polis helicopter, snipers, horses, vans, cars and perhaps an armoured vehicle will be in the east end between 1pm-5pm today.

…they’ll all be looking for you ….LOL
GB doing a corteo from Trongate today. A somber affair, no colours and no singing to protest against Police AND Celtic.
They still maintain the board are colluding with Strayhclydes finest.
A change of tact from Sevco today, going from the hostile ‘everyone needs us’ to a more brotherly ‘we all need each other’.
Chuckles must be getting desperate.
Tollbooth. lol!
67Heaven … I am Neil Lennon..!!.. Ibrox belongs to the creditors
I think that’s that Focus mob at the door:)
Hi, sorry to post off-topic.
Was wondering if anyone knows how much we made (£) in Europe this season?
Thanks
Might stop off at the world famous B.B’s…

It is a dreech and dismally cold day, an Ayrshire in the dregs of February day, here in the tropics of Dorset, but it is the most beautiful of days because once againI got to hold my lovely wife’s hands in mine and talk to our pussycat, who has special dispensation to sing to me whenever she wants. I am still here, and my beloved brother is still here.
Thank, never stop thanking this country, for the NHS as they soothed my fevered brow, literally, as they worked like women and men possessed to get to the root of this problem, and to save my life: to give me time to say my goodbyes.
No wonder people will “crawl across cut glass” to get here.
For all we have our dreadful social ills, we leave no one behind.
From the womb to the tomb. From cradle to grave. From here to there. From the black to the grey and into the light eternal.
From the centre to the centre, from the first kick of that ball to the last and all our heroes in between.
Aneurin Bevan to Dennis Skinner. The NHS. We owe our time to you.
The ConDemNation is but a minor irritant to those giants.
I give you all my love on this most glorious of dreech and beautiful of days.
HH!
PFayr.
On target to get to Failte Bar at 11.40am.
Pogmathonyahun aka Laird of the Smiles,
Cheers for the advice. I will remember not to direct them to the Tolbooth.
Mickybhoy1888, after previous recommendations I decided to google your suggestion. I reckon I will file the Squirrel in same box as Tolbooth. I’m trying to get this guy to five me more business……
Tinytim, good shout. Forgot about Jintys
