On the journey back from a great week-end in York and knowing we had dropped 2 points, I saw that Sevco were 2-0 up and I felt my excellent week-end was going to be spoiled somewhat. I just hoped they wouldn`t score six or more goals.Didn`t look at any updates again until I got home. Suddenly, THEY had dropped two points and we had won one :-)).

Hart is not a keeper who ever looks comfortable playing out from the back. Plenty of mistakes over the season similar to today.

Only using your comment as a reminder of something I’ve posted often on here.
To my knowledge we haven’t conceded a goal due to losing the ball playing it out from the back. (All our goals are conceded from set pieces you know). Let alone lost any points due to that.
Statistically you are more likely to lose a goal directly from humping the ball up the park. (Sorry I don’t have a link to that stat)
Of course, that won’t stop the baying and calling for heads to roll when it does happen. Which also statistically will happen.

Hart should play to his strengths and lump it up the park. 🤭

Nothing to do with results anywhere, just ours.
My blood pressure is fine, i take a pill for that.
But for pricks like you to question my credentials, well expect exactly what you get.
I’ve taken a look at the data behind Celtic and how they’ve performed at attacking and defending set pieces. I’ve pulled and created some visuals from Wyscout & StatsBomb to illustrate what I’ve found.
That was a tough watch this afternoon, at least we held firm at the back …
Young Shaun worked out to flood the midfield and follow our midfielders out wide when the full backs invert , I thought the way round that we for the centre mid and CF to take the ball up the middle …
Still 3 nights kip and onwards

Are Celtic effective at crossing?☘️
Pulled some data to see how we are performing at crosses from Wyscout & StatsBomb
Celtic when they do cross have been the most efficient and effective in the league.
We have 21 goals which is more than double that of Rangers👇

I’m doing a bit of work on the laptop and had to shut BBC down for the last 10mins of Sevco game ; didn’t want to see a Sevco winner flash up
I think we should compare that game with out 3-2 comeback last week. They have an effective blitzkrieg style up front which usually brings a winner or more likely a penalty.
Will be interesting to see if the ref had any bad calls or anything Sportscene will pull up. No controversy in our game, I don’t think. The diving and play acting is a scourge in the SPFL this year. Utd and Aberdeen have been guilty vs Celtic this season.
Refs need to clamp down when there is no head knock. just play on.

I think it would be fair to say we have been fortunate not to concede a few goals while playing tippy tap across our penalty box. Not saying the strategy is not a better bet than the long ball up the park, but you have to have a goalkeeper and players comfortable with doing it.
I liked the old days when the keeper kicked the ball from one penalty box to the other and Sutton and Hartson were waiting for it 😜

We just don’t have what it takes mentally to handle the week-in-week out of a to-the-wire title race. Simple as that.
Said it before, but we haven’t looked like winning this title for a second ever since it became clear we’d have to fight for it. “
I believe that our point today was a more valuable one than Sevco’s was. I fully expected both teams to win today so all in all not too bad an outcome after all. Just need Chelski to lose and my day will have turned out fine after an early hiccup. HH

Aye, that one took the biscuit and I think Taylor pulled him up on it (glad he did something useful today)
The really obvious one to me was earlier in the second half when their midfielder (Jasper) fell over ; the ref didn’t blow and he was straight up to block/mark. A very dangerous ploy in the middle of midfield as we could have broke through.
Porteous knew the ball had cleared the box so less danger in his actions. Too many teams at it now. We need to score by 60mins in all games or we run risk of more 0-0s

Coney Bhoy , when we drew with Dundee United earlier this season, that wee keich, Peter Pawlett went down holding his head. Kevin Clancy stopped play about 30 seconds later.
Once play stopped, Pawlett ,started holding his ankle with the physio then treating his ankle.
Wednesday’s and next Sunday’s games plus more this season are going to follow the same pattern unfortunately.

I’d imagine every team’s games have more of a chance finishing 0-0 if there is no score before 60 mins 😉

Started in the first half a worked up to a negative frenzy after 70 minutes.
Every action was slowed down to waste time.
