    That’s pretty damning as a bare statistic but you are talking about 59% of the fewest goals conceded in the league .

     

    Which does not mean of course , that we shouldn’t be trying to improve this weakness .

    Ange said recently he conditions his teams to peak at the run in. It’s not looked like it on the last few games but with a bit of a gap between games soon we’ll see if it’s true or bluster.

     

     

    Over at ibrox they had a central defender on the bench, one at left back and a midfielder at center half. They rested Jack (or he was injured) and Ramsey was nowhere to be seen. Squad management clearly isn’t as easy as we sometimes think.

     

     

    They now face two Europa league games they are expected to win easily followed by two crucial away games against a stubborn Dundee team.

    It is odd. I always feel Tynecastle is a far more tricky place than Easter Road however the 10 year stats in the league don’t suggest it at all.

     

     

    Maybe collectively we don’t give it the same respect, or have the same intensity there.

    Today, we won a point away from home against a difficult opponent while Sevco squandered a two goal, half time lead at home against an eminently beatable opponent.Let’s be positive folks. Today’s results tell me that they have a mentality problem. They are in meltdown domestically. The Motherwell manager was seated up in the Stand when I was watching. Is he serving a ban? He made 3 subs at half time and then subbed one of his subs. Now that is management. Wee Gio dithered on the touchline.

    A win for St Mirren v Dundee in their postponed game would leave us looking at trips to Paisley and Tannadice of the top 6 stayed as is post split.

    Any other top 6 will likely see us go to either Tynecastle or Livi or Easter Road or Fir Park for a 3rd time

    FIFA has just announced that Russia can continue to attempt to qualify for this years World Cup finals.

     

    Would now not be the time for the SFA to announce that we, Scotland, will step aside next month and enable Ukraine to go forward in their own efforts towards the Finals? In solidarity with the Ukraine FA.
