If an invincible season in the league is to be completed, we now know it will happen at Celtic Park on Sunday, 21 May, against Hearts. While getting over the line is always the most difficult part of a challenge, away games at Pittodrie, where we play nearest challengers Aberdeen, on Friday 12 May, and Ibrox, where we play Newco on 29 April, will present the most significant challenges to our attempts to complete the season undefeated.
There is also the non-trivial matter of an away derby match against our oldest Glasgow rivals, Partick Thistle, on 18 May. Thistle are a tidy team, currently on excellent form. This is exactly the kind of game that has a tendency of stopping history in its tracks. We’ve work to do at Dingwall on Sunday before any of this, of course.
The league split was conceived to accommodate competing needs for more teams in the top flight, but fewer games. This season it has also given us some really attractive looking games after the main issue was settled.
I know one or two who would like future fixtures to be arranged to avoid the title being decided during Lent. I’m not going to say this will be easy to achieve, but it could easily be added to the agenda at next monthly conclave between the SFA, the Scottish Premiership and the Vatican.
We have halfway through our two day raffle for TWO TICKETS to the Scottish Cup semi-final next weekend. Raffle is in aid of Mary’s Meals. To enter, make a minimum £5 donation here, then email me, celticquicknews@gmail.com with the words “Scottish Cup” in the subject line, to confirm your entry.
This is a short competition, so get in quick. Competition closes noon tomorrow. Many thanks to those who entered yesterday. Remember to put your contact details on your email, wouldn’t be the first time someone didn’t get the winning email confirmation.

AULDHEID on 13TH APRIL 2017 2:04 PM
Thanks for clarifying that, very interesting indeed.
Auldheid,
If the Takeover Panel have begun court proceedings against the concert party MC, is it too late for him to announce that he is resigning as Chairman of RIFC?
BENDIGO on 13TH APRIL 2017 1:42 PM
Many thanks, the power of CQN, I was going to ask if any one knew the pub, but thought I would have a wee look myself first.
Great singer and a lovely song
Thanks again
Hail Hail
I assume that by going to the court of session the ‘Cold Shouldering’ does not apply.
Or can the two be actioned in concert and if so when is the Panel likely to announce the ‘Cold Shouldering’ of King David. I note from previous cases * 3 the FCA also made an announcement regarding the cold shouldering of the individuals.

Phil at it as well noo…

Our own James Forrest weighing intae it as well noo:))

Now my next question if I was in the media would be, who puts their hand up to passing this individual as a fit and proper person to be involved anywhere in Scottish football?
Like him they should also pack the hankie and sling their hook.
Babasonicos71 God Bless you and your family at this sad time. HH
Summa of Sammi. Just got my Renewal ST Form in the post reading it just now up £50 to £500 Jock Stein Lower. HH

Thanks Raymond, and you and yours mate HH
FAO ERNIE LYNCH and BMCUWP,
I can not thank you Bhoys enough.
How on earth Ernie you managed to find out the previous Court Case that I earlier referred to, as I didn’t know the names of either parties involved, and what Court it had taken place in ?
Arise ERNIE ” Lt Columbo” LYNCH !
It is normal procedure for all Evidence/Productions to be submitted at least 14 days PRIOR to the Court Case, obviously I have not met that deadline, but I phoned the Court today and explained, and I was advised that I just have to take my chances that The Sheriff will allow this successful Golf Club case to be considered in support of my case which ERNIE has unearthed on the day of my Case ( This coming Tuesday) ?
i am just back from my local library, and I have the that Case Papers all printed off.
Fingers crossed.
PS….even if the Sheriff does not allow this other case to be considered as part of my evidence, I am still very hopeful that my other documented evidence will indeed suffice ?
If so, then the beers are on me Ernie and BMCUWP.
i could buy Champers, but being a Celtic fan I am fed up drinking the stuff…………….joking !
I could never get fed up with Liquid Celebrations.
Hail hail Bhoys, Thanks again.
Quick 1-2 from Phil.

So, lads, what is happening?
Since tomorrow is Good Friday, and it is a long weekend, I suggest that we start the usual weekend festivities a day early …. so music this afternoon?
Big Jimmy …. If I am ever back in Scotland, and find myself in need of legal counsel, I may just give you a call! What do you charge for your retainer? :)
No statement from Poundland yet?
I said ages ago that King was an experienced shyster playing as Long Game.
No interest anymore in the assets after Nomad failed. No interest in share issues, dividend, turnover, futures, ANYTHING… Just to ramp up others’ commitments to tipping point and force a payoff and an escape from liability.
The ‘Three Bears’ are about to find out how expensive it was to swim with a South African Notsogreat White.
FAO BABSONICO,
Sorry to read of your sad loss, may I offer my belated prayers.

I have not scrolled all posts since my 5:11 post but I did note these four points :
1) Oldco players moved on but no transfer fees involved;
*didn’t the wee black norther that paid 20 grand to have the green indoor/outdoor carpet at his wedding replaced with blue no get them a fee fae Southampton.
MIKE IN TORONTO 3.24,
My Fee to you Mike, is this………………………………NOTHING !
Thanks to Al Pacino for the jist of that line from The Godfather 2.
Since I lost my job Mike in Jan. 2009, I have won Court battle against my former employer ( my so called Trade Union Unite, hung me out to dry), in 2010.
I have sued 3 different solicitors since 2010, and been successful on 2 occasions. The other one got away on what you could describe ” as a technicality” ?….It wasn’t, it was the Law being an ASS !
I am now suing a legal organisation ( Next Tuesday in Edinburgh).
I have been forced to undertake all of this on my own, as the solicitors in Scotland run scared at the thought of taking on one of their own, and/or a legal organisation ( Their Peers ?)
i tried to also sue The Law Society of Scotland, but I was prevented from doing so for 2 “Reasons ” ?
1) Because I couldn’t put my evidence in a so called “Legal Format” ?
2) i didn’t have £8,000….which six months later was reduced to ONLY £3,000, for some reason that was never explained to me.
If by any chance anyone on here needs any assistance ( especially when suing crooked solicitors), then I would be most glad to help in any way.
Hail Hail Mike.

The Panel simply applies the rules that every other company governed by the Code and the directors of those companies (apart from our DK it seems) play by.
Indeed, we must not assume that litigation would ensue, the business world does not operate like that. I have spoken to Arnold, my brother-in-law and he opines that this is merely ‘fiscal shadow boxing’. Both parties are merely posturing and striking a pose for the wider public. Don’t forget Dave King didn’t come from a disadvantaged part of Scotland to a mega millionaire in Zuid Afrika. I get the feeling that something spectacular is coming down the pipeline, Arnold said there are patterns within share ownership and that he sees a big bonus heading Ibrox way.

I hate to point out spelling mistakes
But can someone tell Arnold that’s not how you spell Ice Berg
” a BIG BONUS coming our way “
TT- i think Southampton lodged about 500k with the English FA, in lieu of any fee for Davis, doubt it has been cashed, unless wee Craigy Bhoy bagged it alongside the Arsenal Shares …:))
Big Jimmy …. just saw the Godfather this (on TV) this week …..must have seen it 100 times! everything one needs to know in life can be learned from that film …. and, I always liked Tom Hagen …. although I tend to agree with you … some of the lawyers are bigger crooks than those guys!
VFR … an office day today, so have some music going … no pink floyd, mind ….. I had a laugh recently …. I tend to listen to the music LOUD … particularly when I’m driving … windows down, music blaring … me singing along ….my friend across the road told me that his kids (teenagers) were complaining about the ‘old guy across the road (me) who keeps playing his ‘freaky music too loud!’ …
I remember that I had been listening to the Jesus and Mary Chain’s Never Understand…. and Pavarotti singing Panis Angelicus … I wasn’t sure which one they objected to more!
kids today, eh?
