If you want to know why this clubs is special…

The Celtic Supporters Association Rally in the Kerrydale Suite last night was a complete joy.  On the way out I remarked that the club was in good hands with the Association.  This was their 64th annual rally, over generations they have protected and cultured the unique spirit of our football club.

For me, it was the third opportunity in a week to hear the Thai Tims, who performed an excellent set.  Paul Lennon of the Good Child Foundation is a real inspiration and example to us all.

It was also a great opportunity to spend a few hours with many from the CQN community, always a treat.  I know one CQN’er who is going to think twice before digging up Tom (“get your facts right”) Boyd on the blog again, just in case our former treble winning captain reads it and goes looking for him on a night out.

To continue the spirit of what we are all about, on Saturday 19th May there is a charity dinner in Glasgow for The Andrea Kearney Fund, which supports women who are diagnosed with cancer during pregnancy.  The fund in memory of Andrea, who was diagnosed while expecting her fifth child and died in 2008, aged 41.

It promises to be a great night for an important cause, I hope you can support it.  You can book tickets here.  I look forward to seeing you there.

You can buy a hard copy of the new issue of CQN Magazine via Magcloud here.

The graphic below is just for a flick through, to read the magazine go here to it’s dedicated site.

Aye, I pointed this out to someone yesterday.

I expect the only time we might hear anything close to an apology will be during a criminal trial.

I 100% agree with what you say in terms of 1994. However don’t see this as the same.

I do not feel we need to change our board, as was the case back then for the survivial of Celtic. This is an entirely different situation and I don’t feel it appropriate that Celtic supporters inflict damage on Celtic for something which is not of our making. The only circumstances I would find that acceptable would be to affect change, if for instance Celtic voted in favour of a newco. That is not the case.

The situations are not similar agreed. But the choices I fear are. The current Board merely have to do nothing in order for evil to prosper. These are talented people. They can and should be able to deliver more…….. far more.

No they have to accept their day of reckoning.

It is our custodians duty to paralyse the entire game by taking all those parties that are failing in corporate governance and to do so in our name and with a full support.

We can promise a ST uptake year upon year without any games the rest cant afford a winter break until UEFA or even higher ajudicate on a legitimate case against a backdrop that would make the Mafiosa blush.

If they roll over for hun coin at this juncture I will find it hard not to be bitterly disappointed.

    ST,

Yep. imo they are THE elephant in the room in this situation. There are multiple levels in this, and a list of rule breaking about to be confirmed. I think it’s not hun fc who need to be targeted, it’s a certain other thorn in our side, and at the moment, they still seem to be digging their own grave. That might explain our silence on the matter. Enough rope and all that. But I also get the concern about the PLC’s silence on it when these factors aren’t taken into account. Next season we’ll know for sure if they are to be trusted.

Depends on what you are supporting, but it willl not be a sporting contest.

Put Celtic aside for a moment. say Rangers are playing Kille in a game where if Rangers fail to win by more goals than their relegation rivals they get relegated.

You support say ICT who win 4-0. As each goal is scored you hear Rangers have also scored and as your game ends they get an added time penalty o win 5-0.

Would Killie have tried? Did your team stand a chance? What was the point making the effort? What is the point of a contest where commercial value replaces integrity? Remember Rangers remarkable run in last season when they were pumping opposition they had narrow victories against in the previous game? Celtic made one slip up at ICT and by God did the SPL make sure we paid for it.

I suggested the Killie chairman statement is a Ratner moment for the SPL.

After hearing it Ratner’s customer base vanshed, their self respect would not allow them to be treated as mugs.

At some time in our life self respect needs to come into play

without uefa licence they cannot be admitted, do you not think that guidence might

Someone asked me earlier what I would do if I were on the Celtic bored. Now since I am not I suggested the judiciary and class action law suits but hypothetically if I was and I was still a fervent Celtic supporter, as I am now in this hypothetical scenario, I would trump Wild Bill Hiccup’s £11 million bid and liquidate them. Come on £11 mill to circumvent the SFA/SPL skullduggery filth and liquidate them myself! The power of money. Its whats causing all the consternation here tonight.

I rarely post however to accuse bjmac of being corrupt because you disagree with his view is crass. His Celtic supporting credentials stand up to the most stringent analysis. I don’t necessarily agree with his view and would be of the opinion that in the face of the issues we are faced with we should consider resignation from the SPL.

Old Uncle Tim decided to treat himself for his 100th birthday. So he flew first-class to London and checked into the Savoy. The mischievous hotel concierge got an idea and, as a practical joke, sent a call girl up to his room.

She knocked, and the old fellow walked slowly over and opened the door.

He saw a beautiful red-headed woman standing before him.

“I have a birthday present for you,” she said, and smiled.

She leaned forward and whispered, “I’m here to give you super sex.”

“Thanks,” he said thoughtfully, “I’ll take the soup.”

I’d reckon that already happened, and continues to happen, due to the daily obfuscation coming from several quarters. I think it also explains the SPL’s attempts to step up to the fray to take the heat from that very organisation that UEFA must surely be looking at very closely just now. Imo, our main enemy is not a zombie fc, it’s the SFA. They have been an equal embarassment to Scottish football when you consider everything.

  33. There is a nasty and often snide undertone creeping into several posts. It is repulsive but freedom of speech is yours to do with as you see fit.

It reminds me of the passion that was embraced in the vitriolic September/October witch hunt ofNeil Lennon.

Nobody knows what is going to happen, so why stab your fellow Supporters in the back just because they have an opinion or respect that does not mirror yours?
