The stage is set. Dundee United, the club who were last to beat Celtic, stand in the way of their treble ambitions, as the clubs meet on three consecutive occasions next month. The first game, a Scottish Cup quarter final at Tannadice, is the most crucial.
United lost their best two players last week but they remain they will know that beating Celtic at home will make them favourites for the Scottish Cup. They will be far less confident at the following week’s League Cup final, Dundee United expectations are always low at Hampden, but pressure will be on the club to win their home game.
A note on the suitability or otherwise of a director of a public company. In the UK, only the courts can ban you from being a company director, HMRC cannot ban you, any more than they can ban you from driving. In the UK, public companies are held to a higher standard than private companies. If anyone presents to you claiming, “HMRC have never banned me from driving/being a company director”, you know your being misled. The same is true for most jurisdictions.
The AIM market requires companies to have nominated adviser (nomad), which carries out regulator duties on behalf of the market, and ultimately shareholders. The fact that UK, or other, courts have not prohibited you from being a company director implies nothing about your suitability as a director of a public company. When it comes to the AIM market, this suitability is judged by your effective regulator, your nomad. A recent history of financial criminal activity, for example, will give your nomad plenty to consider, as would a recent history of being a director in a liquidated public company. Far more would decline such a candidate than approve.

The part about “The Nomad”.King has said he will sack the Nomad if he wins the vote.Is this legal?.The Monkeys have had a fair amount of these Nomads since their birth in 2012.Is it a case of,if the Nomad thinks you are acting against the legal requirements of the Aim market, then you can just sack him and get another Nomad in.Surely Nomads cannot be like shady used car dealers. If one Nomad says you are inelligible by Aim law,how can another say the opposite?.
Can anyone enlighten me?.

Love your wee spy in the camp insights into the Inter support.Keep it up.

I saw the article that two men had been charged. It’s since been said by someone who knows them that they’re not Celtic supporters but in actual fact, supporters of a club formed in 2012.

Got it P, many thanks from us both mate.
Hi Paul67,
“Dundee United, the club who were last to beat Celtic, stand in the way of their treble ambitions, as the clubs meet on three consecutive occasions next month.”
Seem to remember Rangers had that predicament with a very effective Dundee United a few years back.
The SFA who had stated they were in no rush to appoint a Scotland Manager (post Burley) the appointment would take some months…
Changed there mind and courted then engaged Craig Levin in unseemly haste.
Worked well, their results against DU were excellent and they went on to win a double.
SO
Why don’t we get the SFA to appoint Jackie Mac…
After all WGS is doing too good a job, totally out if kilter with the Armageddon agenda.

Would like to see it tried more so if it worked i think in europe espcially away it could be good for us.
Brown right midfield (his best position in my opinion ) is another option.

Tartan Army voting on a new national anthem.
Members of the Tartan Army are being asked to vote on whether Flower of Scotland should be the country’s national anthem.
It comes after the question was raised at the Scottish Parliament’s public petitions committee.
The SFA says it believes the answer should come from its “most loyal fans” and has opened up an online vote for the Scotland Supporters Club.
The options include Flower of Scotland, Caledonia and Scotland the Brave.
Supporters can also chose Highland Cathedral or make their own suggestion.
The online poll closes at 17:00 on Wednesday.

With the news that KC could miss the Inter game,I would have Armstrong in both games before the Inter tie.A midfield of Broony,Biton,Johanse Armstrong, looks like it would certainly work the Inter midfield.Forrest,or GMS with LG as the striker.Fitness will be a big factor for us to combat their better skill.
Celtic have only 2 tickets left for the Inter Milan game.

All this stuff about suitability is pie in the sky. King will find a way in. He needs to be stopped at source.
Let him have it when Mike has tied it all up,Say I:))) then watch the fun begin(again) :)))))
With Commons out tomorrow night and Saturday it will be interesting to see how we cope. He has been the catalyst for our good run of late. Time for Forrest and Stokes to start producing if they are picked. Away games will be better suited to blooding the new guys particularly GMS as there is likely to more space to operate in.

Got the very same story at the weekend from my sister, but said rock-all.
I wonder what size of spy-glass you’ll need to read that in any of the SMSM if any at all.

Cheers. Quelle suprise
LiviBhoy,
I do like the National Anthems. Some are truly rousing. The Welsh,The French, some are truly awful,GSTQ,Brazil,Portugal,.Of course The Soldiers Song is up there with best.
For Scotland I think it has to be Scotland The Brave, just to get us away from those horrendous singers that always start FOS way to high for the fans.A pure reddy listening to it.
Personally, far more concerned that Lustig won’t make the Inter game, than Commons. Hope Mathews does the business but Lustig can cross the ball, which our other full backs too often make a hash of doing.

Timreaper,
Celtic have not lost a game this season that kc hasn’t featured in.
After some of the names to be linked with Sevco have maybe a chequered past as in King Modi and Rivzi I’m hearing the SFA are quite hopeful that a Mr Escobar, a legitimate businessman from Columbia might fit the bill.
Turkeybhoy
Agreed. The Welsh anthem is one of the finest there is.
I prefer Scotland the Brave myself.

“Pubic”?
It can happen to the best of them as was shownthe time a well known BELFAST muralist was doing a bit of sign writing for the Bee hive bar on the Falls rd and made the very same mistake when it came to his effort to write Public bar.
Passing drivers, mostly black taxi men were sounding their horns in an effort to allert him to his blunder but he thought they were just showing their appreciation at his work as was normal when they saw him painting his murals.
It wasn’t rectified until a taxi driver stopped and verbally pointed out the error.

I would change the lyrics of Scotland the Brave, to, Scotland the Shitebags!

Still a YES man.
livibhoy – Tartan Army voting on a new national anthem
National anthems are mostly rubbish, and while Flower of Scotland isn’t terrible it is a bit downbeat and one-note.
So I suggest “Shake It Off”, by Taylor Swift. (thumbsup)

Stamp out Elbows?
Seen another one yesterday when he has a sly “Stand on” Nade in the 6 yard box.
jonny the tim – The lyrics to Scotland The Brave are already obscene.
If I have to hear a ribald description of that Highland grannie’s geriatric assets again I will write to my MP to complain.
Ban this sick filth. (thumbsup)
