Jaroslaw Fojut on Celtic, Lennon and possibly moving this month

1057

Jaroslaw Fojut spoke to a Polish newspaper yesterday on his decision to join Celtic. Our man in Poland kindly transcribed:

When asked if he would like to move to Celtic this month, Jaroslaw said, “If I move to Celtic this winter a convenient outcome for all sides would need to happen.  If I need to stay in Wroclaw until the end of the season it will not be a tragedy.  My decision to sign for Celtic is not going to change my dedication to Slask.

“Whatever the outcome, I will not be aggrieved.

“The people at Slask offered me a good contract.  Before I signed for Celtic I met Slask chairman, Piotr Wasniewski and explained my situation.  I wanted to play fair with the club who were always fair with me.

“Money was not the main reason I decided to go to Scotland.  I do not have to justify myself by telling you what kind of club Celtic is and the real reasons behind my decision.

“My agent told me about signals from other club but there were no concrete offers.  Celtic were determined to sign me and when their offer came in I did not look for other options.

“I expect competition for a place in the Celtic team to be high but when I get a chance to play I will make good use of that privilege.  I have not spoken to Neil Lennon yet but I am aware of what he has said about me and look forward to meeting him.

“I remember playing against him when he was with Nottingham.  I think we played twice in the cup and once in the league but could not be sure.

“I planned to call Lukasz Zaluska and ask what it was like at Celtic but what if he told me things were bad there?”  Which Jaroslaw laughed at.

“Lukasz and I will have lots to talk about, we are both Legia supporters.

“I’m not going to argue about whether the Scottish or Polish league is better, everyone is entitled to their opinion on this.  I’m pretty sure we have no club in Poland who can compare to Celtic, whatever aspect you analyse, economic issues, organisation, supporters, stadium or anything.

“Let’s not forget Celtic play in Europe every year and battle for the biggest prizes.

“In a way going to Celtic is a dream come true but my dreams will have to change.  I will not going the Bhoys and feel happy, my ambitions will have to move on.  I am sure Lionel Messi still has something to win and achieve.  He has never been the champion of the world and that is why he must improve.  I’m pretty sure I will not be short of incentives.

“Celtic is a very big deal for me but you do not climb the mountain and say, OK, I’m done.

“My acclimatisation is going to me easier in many aspects.  I know the British game, I know what the coaches expectations are.  During my years in England I learned the language so I’ll not have problems with communication.”

Utter nonsense, Ive made the mistake of swearing and suggesting he was plump in seperate occasions and apologised for it but not called him a fat B and most definetly not a C. Dont use that word. Ive used the B word once here refering to huns and wrongly claiming it was ok on here as it was on bbc’s Eastenders. I accepted my deletion. I remember when I have swore on here very clearly.

If you want to fabricate fantasy posts go ahead, seems to make you happy.

I also love the idea of the CEO getting ideas from here, it looks like it may helped him out the hole he has dug us into.

Seriously speaking, WGA was here. He was happywith how things are happening this transfer window. He did not forget to mention Milan Badelji and few other names.

    TONYG

Pawel Brozek is good player. He is techically good and knows how to score the goals.

He is similar to Zurawski from his first season at Celtic. Not Jelavic type who is stronger.

In scale from 1 to 10.

If Zurawski from his first season was 7 and Jelavic from previous season at Rangers was 8 then I would give Brozek mark 6 for his last season at Wisla Cracow.

The problem with Brozek is his personality. He looks like a person who “does not care” if you know what I mean. He is not strong personality who would do everything to achieve the goal. He feels well when everything goes according to the plan. Not the fighter type person but good striker.

I suppose that was his problem at Trabzonspor. Rangers is not good place for him in my opinion but who knows. Maybe he will be mark 8 player for them?

I hear the deal might be done by tomorrow. Brozek still has the chances to play in Euro 2012 but must find the club where he can get the games.

“Well done to the lad on here who pointed this out the other day. The more scumbags like this we can weed out the better.”

Can’t see the wood for the trees seems like the apt response to that statement.

I’ve no idea why i would fabricate something like that – i remember it clearly, and not just the once either.

When it comes to signing a striker to help win this title – I always back strikers who have proved they can score in the SPL over someone who apparently has the ability to help us in Europe.

Think Stokes. Think Fortune. Better we get someone in who will get us over the SPL line first…worry about Europe later unless its a top drawer bargain….

I think that was few months before he left us. I think he lived in Holland yet.

That was really wonderful post. Steve posted that before “new article posted” and then said funny, kind complain in the new article.

  10. Lennybhoy,

or Neil’s Alterego as you introduced yourself! The guy to your right asked a longwinded question about the youths and his bet on Lenny staying at Celtic for 20 years and was rudely dissed by the compere – thankfully Neil jumped in and answered the question about the U19s.

Neil didn’t get your question which I took to be the need for creativity in midfield. I was slightly concerned that Neil wasn’t 100% sure of his best team but understood that it depends on how the players are in training that week, opposition line up etc.

What is certain is that we ARE actively looking for a CF and Neil said that like us he is probably going to be up after midnight when the window closes.

Sorry that I didn’t introduce myself – I’m old skool cqn but relegated to occassional poster status and you probably wouldn’t have known my blogger name.

Celik ‘agrees Rangers deal’..The Headline no Celtic Supporter wants to Read..

Swedish midfielder Mervan Celik has agreed to sign for Rangers, according to his agent.

Fleck loaned to BlackpoolMan charged for abusing EduWeir to quit Rangers

The 21-year-old is out of contract after leaving GAIS, although the Swedish club would be due training compensation.

Celik’s agent, Hasan Cetinkaya, said on http://www.stv.tv: “We have agreed a deal in principle with Rangers and we have agreed all conditions. It is a three-and-a-half-year contract.

“We have had a lot of offers for Mervan, 12-13 concrete offers from clubs from big leagues.

“But when Mervan and I went to Glasgow one month ago, we got a very good impression from Rangers and Ally McCoist. McCoist was the key reason to this transfer.”

No apology needed my friend, I recognise your blog name, I too am one of the older bloggers and I don’t necessarily mean age.

Yeah, I don’t think he did get my point, perhaps I wasn’t too clear. However, he did accept I had a point in that we are sometimes missing the spark and admitted we were missing somebody in the ilk of Lubo or Naka.

Yes we are indeed in the market for a CF for sure, that definitely came across, especially when referring to the pitches and perhaps the need to change our game a bit to take them into account.

The Ghent was just behind me, I was front row. He was the one that said he one a certain amount of money when we beat the orcs and was thinking about putting it on Neil being Manager in 20 years but wasn’t sure if he would be around to collect it given his senior years. Neil quick as flash, you wont be around in 20 years…I wont be around in 20 years.

But do you know johann murdoch made the point on the way out, Manure’s Manager was five minutes of being sacked, he is still there 25 years later, food for thought indeed.
