Neil Lennon’s suggestion that fostering Fraser Forster from a lower-league loaner to an England international is “one of the best things [he’s] been involved with as a manager” is difficult to dispute, despite his various trophies and Champions League exploits.
Owen Hargreaves earned an England cap before he made an appearance in either of England’s top two divisions, although he was playing with European champions, Bayern Munich at the time. Hargreaves and Lanarkshire’s Joe Baker are the only two to have been capped for England without playing in any of the country’s four leagues. I’ve no idea if there are any others to have earned a cap without having played in the top two division but there must be precious few.
In short, Fraser’s appearance between the sticks on Friday was exceptional. We can now help fulfil the international ambitions of English players, just as long as we continue to compete in the Champions League.

Today we got to see the incredible sight of Craig Whyte’s former PR, who represented him before and during his Outstanding Contribution to Scotland, who in fact, represented him well before this, when Whyte was stalking STV as they teetered on the brink of oblivion, use Twitter to turn on another member of the Whyte coterie, for being a part of the Whyte coterie.
It reads like playing to the gallery, which the Daily Record, is a particularly useful punch bag for. No one cares what you say about the Daily Record, so exploit a common enemy and pile on. Tub thumping like this is embarrassing.

I’m of the opinion PL agreed to certain things for the “sake” of Scottish football, including agreeing to allow “them” into the lowest division but I’m sure he has a line in the sand with regard to their continuity and is content to allow the SFA/SPL/SPFL to waffle and confuse, by any method, the Bears into thinking they are the same club and hence continue to get them to buy STBs to keep their tainted money in the game. I’m sure the match report on the Club website after the ultimate Old Firm game inferred they were deid but this was not picked up or reported by the MSM (FEARTIES ?). Celtic consider them deid and Newco will never in my lifetime be our rivals.

For days after the Newclub v Pars game the Dafc site went into overdrive. They quite rightly raged about the treatment of their fans at Ibrox and in particular the vile abuse an 11 girl received while cops stood watching.
The attack on a group of DA fans was reported in the Fife press but not a cheep in the Record as you’d expect.

Yes it was bad apparently and the cops/stewards stood back and did nothing while Pars fans were getting ambushed and battered after the game.
And they wonder why we don’t want them back.

I agree in the main with what you say, money is king, they contribute far too much to the game to be taken out, so a compromise is what they are looking for, and they seem to have found it.
The only people bumping their gums have been the bhoys from here with the Res 12, apart from that, nada, feck all from anyone else withon the game, the bigot pound is what they crave, even our club want it, sadly, but hey, tis the way of the world.
