Been working so missed the game, had to make do with live updates. That was a hard read. Can’t comment on performances but seen goal, lucky but I’ll take it. Ridiculous red for Broony.

From the comments it seems we’ve gone back how we were playing early on in the Season, needs sorted, plenty football still left to play this Season, HH. back to work.

    ———————————————————————————————————–

Did you miss the bit about a tough game on Thursday night?

Did you miss the bit about playing on a horrible dangerous surface?

Or mibbe you missed the bit about us winning every domestic game this year?

Or mibbe you missed the bit about us not conceding a goal in domestic football this year?

Or mibbe you missed the bit about us playing about a dozen games more than just about every other club in Scotland?

Or mibbe you missed the bit about……………….

    Aaah forget it.

    Hope you work went well.

I don’t know………but I DO know that if the coin had hit Boyd’s ample erchie , there’s a fair chance it might have bounced back and taken the throwers eye oot!

  6. FUBAR………………

The mighty Glasgow Celtic don’t deserve your support!

HAIL HAIL THE REAL CELTS ARE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Big Georges Fan Club - Hail, Hail, Wee Oscar on

Coin never hit Boyd. It was thrown from in front and to the right of us. Boyd was warming up in front of Celtic fans at the south end of the stadium.

Coin was close to him, but landed on the ground near his feet. He didn’t make a big deal about it – picked it up, laughed and threw it in the direction of the steel bucket that holds the sand they use to put out the flares.

Wee dickhead who threw the coin deserves to get done. Does Celtic, and Celtic fans, no favours whatsoever.

Coin hit Boyd on the arm, it was caught on camera. Boyd didn’t appear to make anything of it.

  10. BGFC,

Unfortunately it did hit him…just above the rh elbow…

Philbhoy…he missed the bit about how we’re reffed differently than every other team in Scotland ;-))

  11. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

    Evening all.

    Good win.

Even taking into account our inconsistent start to the season, Celtic are averaging 2.3 points per league game.

If that average is sustained (and given our current form that is certainly achievable) we’ll finish on 87 points.

If Sevco win ALL 12 remaining fixtures they’ll reach 88.

    No, me neither.

    Hail hail

  12. The huns for all the hype and what they have spent are three points better off than they were this time last season with the barking mad Pedro and the Murty fella, yet slippy is the man, I’m sure he will get his players patched up for the Killie game, after all all the throwing them under the bus must be taking it’s toll on them, amazing how it’s always the players fault and never his, what a genius he is, engerland top team is a calling.

  13. Having a quick skim back. Good to see you post POG… enjoy Brunei

And Corkcelt… that’s so funny… loved that story. I was driving back from golf and gave it the whole ‘Celtic song played by car horn’ routine.

Brilliant 3 points today…. a step closer for us and a further step away from our challengers… no complacency here though…. still a long way to go – starting with avenging the poor performance of Thursday and turning on the style in Valencia.

    Mon the Hoops ??☘️

  14. Great result,average performance.

Pitch does play a part,no Jozo ?,tentative Toljan,Forrest gets hooked says it all.

Not to worry, had our rivals just achieved that result the previous 89 mins would be forgotten.

    Great effort Boyata and Hayes.

    Delighted.

  15. Absolutely no excuse whatsoever for anyone who throws a coin or indeed any missile towards a football player. Having said that, 2 observations –

    1. Will the ensuant outcry be along he same lines as that shown with regard to the batteries thrown at Leigh (note – many fans could be expected to have coins in their pockets, but batteries???)

    2. Actually ‘hitting’ Mr Boyd shouldn’t be regarded as an example of precision bombing. Harder to miss him, may I suggest?

  16. Breeny 3.19pm

Apologies if you have been on the blog but not read back, you will be delighted that we didn’t have to bring young Oko-Flex on today but still managed another 3 points and another domestic shut out, so far 100% shut outness domestically in 2019 ..

Fellow Celts good night & god bless

Is Broony now our main goal threat

    Happy days :-)

  17. Oh dear…jist getting back into watching telly…Sinkholes: Sucked to Death…just tickles a funny bone…no offence to anyone who has ;-))

  18. How do you know the SMSM have just conceded that there is no title race? When they start printing sh*te such as ” Celtic sweating over pitch invasion”, ” Seats damaged by Celtic fans at Rugby Park”, “Police stop pitch invasion”, ” Kilmarnock player subjected to sectarian abuse by Celtic support” rather than their printing the usual utter garbage on how great Stevie G is and how Sevco are mounting a challenge. Sad hurting Hun Jurnos anyone?

  19. What a great result. When/if we win the title, we’ll look back on today as the game that turned the tide. Thought it was a great, evenly balanced, game to be honest. I thought our subs made the difference. Olly and Timo brought pace and purpose when Killie were tiring. Did you see Chris Burke before he took the corner kick late on the game? He looked shattered. So happy that Broony got the goal. Thought the fans celebration was brilliant.

Johnnie Hayes and Boyata were brilliant today but after initial enthusiasm towards Toljan, I’m going to reserve judgement. I haven’t seen a smile on the guy’s face yet unlike Timo and Olly and Bayo who all look delighted to be with us. For a Celtic! Well done Brendan and The Bhoys!

    Hail! Hail!

  20. GFTB just thinking the same, after his tirade he dissapeared like the proverbial snow aff a dike, BTW saw a young lad in a trackie on the park at the end congratulating the players, could have been him.

  21. TONTINE TIM on 17TH FEBRUARY 2019 8:21 PM

Considering Jones is on a pre contract to the Gates of Hades, he probably wouldn’t be a big loss.

  22. Superb Celtic.

Toljan looks to be good although he should hit the bye line mair – Nightmare we have to go with loan players.

Loved the attitude of Timo after the game – obviously someone upset him – There were a couple of things that happened after he came on.

Great Finish to the game, I said to Aidan he will be off way before the pictures showed he had been sent off – not Nostradamus stuff there though. :))

It is certainly worth it when there is so much quality just ready to get back in to the midfield. Broonie is selfless I reckon. He has went in with a few yellow cards challenges for a few games now so I reckon he is a pragmatist and a Belter of a Captain.

I reckon we just went a a massive way to winning 8 in a Row Today.

  23. POG,

my question is connected to the Octoberfest fotie linked to yer name…are you the kilt wearer…ouch, the hands lifting it…double ouch…or the fotie taker ;-))

    H.H.

  24. Three points in the bag a boot in the baw sack for every hun in the land, that’ll do me:))

    Timo my kind of Tim:))

Jordan Jones sit down ya sad sack, Timo owned you…

You can’t play football on a non existent pitch but you can come up with the goods Broony Bhoy:)))

The 8 Express picking up Steam:))

  25. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

If a so called Celtic fan is found to have thrown a coin at Boyd, he or she should be severely punished.

Genuinely not trying to stir here .. but …

If we are being honest, we’ve mocked Sevco fans for leaving stands at Firhill and Macaroni to celebrate goals that won games.

We have also condemned one of theirs for throwing coins and other heavy objects at officials and players.

Some of ours did the former today and one of ours MAY have done the latter.

Shouldn’t Celtic fans be better than this?

Still a fabulous day by the way !!!!! :)

    Good night and hail hail

  26. Jobo,

Yer observations start with…absolutely no excuses…but…;-))…my kinda Celtic Devils Advocate ;-))
