Player who has been out since April in shock Uefa squad omission. The only surprise about Kris Commons and Uefa lists is that he was included for the earlier rounds, despite not pulling on a Celtic shirt since April through injury. He was there because there was space on the A list. He’s now been omitted because we signed Scott Sinclair and Brendan Rodgers needed to remove one name to keep his options open for a wildcard.
Kris’ chances of being fit enough to play are less than Patrick Roberts’ so his name came off the list.
I don’t habitually dig up managers at other clubs, but Robbie Nielson is testing the limits of incredulity. When asked about Scott Brown calling Jamie Walker a cheat, he said “If you have got an opinion on anything you are better just keeping it to yourself.”
This is the guy who can’t shut his mouth about referees, including an incident last season when he thought action should have been taken against……. Scott Brown.
Robbie, if you can dish it out but you can’t take it, maybe you are better just keeping your stray opinions to yourself.
We collected four yellow cards at Tynecastle: Gordon, Brown, Dembele and Sinclair. None of them incurred incurred when the ball was in play. Craig Gordon’s was for not going to his line at the Hearts penalty, Moussa Dembele’s was for knocking the ball away, Scott Sinclair’s was for running into the crowd after scoring a debut goal (he’s knew, he should learn, but it’s a clear yellow card) and Scott Brown’s for dissent.
If we’re going to tot up cautions, we should at least do it during play when there is some advantage to be won. Four conceded carelessly off the ball is unusual and could cost us later in the season.
Scott Brown in particular should take note, that was his second caution of the season for dissent, the first coming in Astana. Scott’s a hugely important player to Celtic, previous absences from Europe due to off-the-ball indiscretions should be acting as an inhibitor at this stage of his career.

You must have an overseas registered credit card to do that.

I moved to Central Europe for 6 months last season and registered to pay the £20 per month ( cancel anytime) option that allowed me to watch live games.
Using the same credit card as I had previously for my £40 annual uk subscription.
I did provide my European address. Other than that it was easy to change and quality was superb. Watched games in pubs and restuarants with wifi.
Highly recommended!!

We have been linked with dwarf goalkeeper Michel Vorm who will challenge Gordon because Gordon doesn’t run backwards into goalposts at corners fast enough or something like that.
Also continue to be linked with Paddy McNair who started his career as a midfielder until he became a defender but we want him to be a midfielder or something like that.
Clear?

They already have a 33 year old one in midfield.
I am delighted to see Tom Rogic sign a new contract I believe he can become a big player for Celtic. Once again the Brendan Rodgers feel good factor has worked its charm.H.H.
Noticed a lot of posts about Craig Gordon and his positioning, I blame it on Zonal marking

I cannot see how the tribute act can build a winning team by going around the world collecting veteran free transfer players.Having one or two in your squad may help the youngsters but in the longer term there can be no future in it. H.H.
34 yr old Fanni, didn’t see that co—-
Ach a better no, dont want barred.
Marbella. I’ll be there tomorrow afternoon and check out the action down the casino.
Sod’s Law is pretty damned predictable.
Off in the morning to a family wedding in Spain, then a couple of days in Seville to reacquaint with what is one of the great cities in Europe.
Back Sunday, and looking forward to the Hapoel match on the Wednesday, for which I reserved our seats last week.
So, being off work for a few days this week, naturally next week is choc-a-bloc. Including tonight’s gem…
…yip, a meeting I can’t get out of in deepest Leicestershire next Wednesday, meaning it’s BT Sport or bust for me, Hapoel-wise.
Also got a wee hike lined up at the end of the month, which means I’ll miss the Aberdeen game at home, coupled with tomorrow night’s Motherwell match, giving a hat trick of home games missed, 2 of which are essential viewing.
Profanities were uttered when tonight’s meeting was confirmed.
Hey ho. Someone will get a free seat for some big games at Celtic Park this month…
I agree that technology should be incorporated into the game more. There is the usual adage that not all levels will be able to afford it but tuff. It should be incorporated and paid for by the SPFL at the highest level I.e. SPLF Premiership. It should be automatic review for goaline and each team should be given 2 opportunities each half to call for video review much like players in tennis. If review fails they lose one call to review.
Once again decision will finally be open to interpretation of rules but far more difficult for refs to cheat as review footage and live review process will be available for all to judge their bias.
MWD
Further to that.
Because at it stands I have noticed that both Sky and BT tend to replay every decision that goes against the Huns, rarely replay decisions that go for them, replay decisions that go for us but rarely replay decisions going against us unless really obvious.
MWD
I really think Frankie Boyle owns The Deady Bears….
It gets too fanciful for this to reality…..bet his wee bankie pals are having input…..

LENNON N MC….MJALLBY –
Retrospectively changing the result of a game due to a wrong decision is an absolute no-no as far as FIFA is concerned, and rightly so. That is a recipe for disaster and all manner of mayhem.
There are exceptional circumstances where the referee has not simply made a mistake of judgement, eg awarding a penalty when the player has been proved to have dived, or wrongly disallowed a goal for offside, but has completely misinterpreted the actual rules of the game.
For example, in the Women’s World Cup, the referee awarded England a penalty with 2 minutes to play. The England player scored from the spot, putting England 2-1 ahead, but another England player had clearly encroached into the penalty area.
The correct decision was to book the offender and order a retake. What the referee actually did was to disallow the goal, book the offender and award a free-kick to the defending team. England protested and FIFA ordered the game to restart a few days later, with the retaken penalty, on the 88th minute with the score at 1-1. England scored the penalty and the remaining minutes were played out as normal and England won 2-1.
In that instance, the referee had fundamentally misrepresented the rules, as opposed to simply making a wrong call. Such occasions are very rare indeed.
Can’t see Fanni signing, at 34 he’s far too young.
Auld tam…were you the head gardener at the Reid Park .????
