Celtic have played four games against Polish opposition, losing to Legia Warsaw and Wisla Crakow in 2006 friendlies, drawing thanks to a very late Kenny Dalglish goal against Wislaw, before losing the return game. We’re going to need to break new ground if we’re to reach the Champions League play-off round.
As I predicted, you can ignore the 1-1 draw with St Pat’s last week, Legia are a far better team than that result suggested and it now looks like they have thrown off their summer slumber.
Time to hit form, Celtic.

HAMILTON TIM
I know the feeling, mate. I’ve had about five hours since Tuesday.
Heat like this is not conducive to kip.
Hopefully a few jars will put me in the land of nod later.
I assume you and the verymuchbetter half are having a cracking time?
If so,you deserve no less. Or more, tbh!
Apologies to everyone.
I made an error.
Ready as you you are, apologies to Voguepunter for still using him as the template for link creationism.
Bobby, I lay down and I thought for a second or 2, I then realised I’d f*ck*d it up, again.
definitely off oot.
Apologies to all the Day Shifters.
Happy Friday Celts!
I’d be very happy to scrape through by the odd goal v Legia, as Macjay said earlier it’s going to be a tough yin this time.

“At least 649 Palestinians and 32 Israeli soldiers, plus three Israeli civilians, have been killed in the past 15 days of fighting, officials say.”

Thank you for highlighting the brutality and murderous intent of the Israeli government.

However,I am in complete agreement with his point.
Gross,GROSS overreaction by the Israeli govt.
Good morning friends and a Big Happy Friday from a bright and beautiful East Kilbride where it’s another dry and warm start to the day.
Last day at the ole coal face for a couple of weeks, woo-hoo!
Well done to Aberdeen and St Johnstone and also to Scotland’s 4 gold medal winners. Pity the ole referendum vote isn’t today ;-)

‘Eddieinkirkmichael and others.
I asked the question ‘what is a proportional response for Isreal’ . I still haven’t had an answer. Lots of talk about what’s disproportionate. should Isreal just turn the other cheek?’

How many Palestinians will have to die to ensure that Israel is safe?

Syd.
Give our new guy time.Give him a break.
He`s just been chucked in at the deep end.
How long has he had to assess our players? Or to decide where our team require strengthening.
Long enough to be accused by some of being Lawwell`s poodle.
Bit harsh,bit premature.
No?
Lennybhoy –
nothing booked yet and taking it a day at a time with ole Mrs Baldie. But we’re hoping to escape somewhere next midweek, all being well and flights being available.
Morning, last day off back to work tomorrow. Legia Warsaw will be a test, saw a wee bit of thrm on the news last night and on that viewing, we’ll take them.
There ye go.

Don`t quite know why,but I do have real concerns.
Is it because we have a new coach?
Strangely,I don`t think I would feel this way if Lenny were still in charge.
Having said that, the tension is good.
Remember the hun games?
What an embarrassment Motherwell are in Europe, always out at the first tie.
‘Keith lasley gave away his third penalty of the tie’
Was my highlight of the match report.

Did mullet not win a manager of the season award ahead of Lennon?

A wee prayer for all those killed due to politics, thoughts also to my wife’s nephew (originally from Greenock) Patrick O’Neil and his young family who live in Israel, they’re targets as well.

Hola
Another blisteringly hot morning in Porta Pollenca, where I’m back from the beach having placed two towels under my wife’s favourite wee grassy Spanish gazebo.
There’s not even a hint of a cloud let alone the wispy East Kilbride variety and the most spectacular thing I assume that happens will be when the Melloni Melllloooooni Coco-nuuuuus Pineapple man arrives.

Morning CQN, just dipping my toe in from the lurk to ask a question regarding Dundee United’s spat with two year old Sevco over Charlie Telfer – was this ever resolved? I’ve done a wee google and can’t see anything. I’ve been out of the country for a month so more out of the loop than normal!
Regarding the war crimes in the middle east, someone asked what is Israel supposed to do, turn the other cheek? Well the same question applies for the Palestinians. From July to February this year Israel killed 44 Palestinians, injured 808, arrested 2702, conducted 3,360 military raids, demolished 154 Palestinian homes, and oh yeah, announced the building of 10,489 illegal settlements. See that’s the problem when you turn the other cheek, when the Palestinians do it, the world ignores them and Israel steals more land unchallenged. btw I am not trying to justify rocket attacks but it does raise a question for us, which is, what should we do about it?
Boycotting Israeli Goods is a good place to start.

See.That hits the spot.
All the generalisations you want about the rights and wrongs of an ancient conflict. The taking of sides.
And then you have the individual stories of those who just happen to be there.
A truly horrible conflict.
Hopefully ,Patrick and his family will be safe.

I don’t normally do weather reports but it’s a fantastically glorious day in Carmyllie and I can see the coast from here and it looks equally glorious at Carnoustie.
A couple of hours work for me then I’m off to meet a Celtic legend. I’ll be meeting Tommy Boyd as well.
