Lennon luxury of sharpening next week

453

These games all seem simple the morning after they are completed, but that only happens if the hard work is out on.

Sarajevo did enough to take the lead last night, lesser teams than Celtic would have stuttered, but that proved to be what the instigator needed.

Neil Lennon now has the luxury of using next week’s home leg to sharpen fitness where necessary, and perhaps to give one or two their first Celtic Park experience.

    Oh ok

All points were covered in discussion I response to other posters, I knew this would be a waste of my time but here goes,

    * Not sure what difference 100 posts would have made?

The last time it was discussed on here and 100 posts condemning the threats happened, The Celtic blogshpere went on fire till every website and blog was talking about it, this led to the full disclosure by the Plc and polis, we also found out how serious it was allowed to get before the authorities were force through scrutiny to properly resource the investigation.

    * Accuracy of the information unconfirmed.

Again, the previous disclosure was not subjected to demands for proof, I am satisfied on balance and in the light of previous form that the information is true, that Sean Thornton personally addressed the blog twice confirming his faith in the source and the information only reduces any doubt,

    * If true, private matter for individual concerned and family to take any action required.

Last time it was a “private matter for individual concerned and family to take action required”, 6 months of living like refugees and having to run away from their tormentors in the middle of the night, facilitated by the polis, this line of question demonstrates complete lack of sympathy for those concerned.

“If true” it’s not my problem is how I read this whole statement. Hence my utter disgust at the writer and lack of respect for any of the other points and questions asked.

    * Media reporting several years ago on incidents involving Lennon prompted copycat attacks, as these situations often do.

The copycat attacks never happened there were no copycat attacks, imagine anyone using the meeja as a source to demonstrate their logic after everything the meeja done to vilify the victim ffs the irony. Attacks never stopped and actually happened before during and after, the ones that got all the attention and convictions, even at Hibs. The real threat has never been dealt with, Ulster terrorist groups, they live to do it again. But we should just wait until one of the family are killed or seriously injured under the watchful eye of the polis and Lenny has no choice but to leave Scotland, then maybe we can condemn his treatment.

This statement is a total squirrel full of faux concern for someone who has been told to deal with it himself.

    * The Celtic support have Lennons back and don’t need to make more posts, to be ultimately lost in cyberspace, to prove it.

By telling Lenny and the family it is their concern and that they should deal with it themselves really does demonstrate some of the Celtic support have his back, aye right enough.

So I expect to be told I’ve twisted the meaning of the questions and statements now but we both know I have not, the words all make perfect sense in demonstrating the writers perspective.

That I chose to civilly answer other posters versions of the same statements and questions and point out the flaws as I saw them, I’d hoped and believe provided enough clarity on my perspective, some did follow my logic, I hope most did but there you have it. I note there is still no outright condemnation for my aggressor, not surprised, point scoring is/was the sole aim of this debate and his second statement on his list clearly demonstrates its not his business.

So I’ve answered all the points again only this time directly.

I’ll no be answering any more from this source.

  2. Being a worshipper of the temple that is my body, on my regular wee jogs I tend to stay off the congested roads and pavements saturated with the monoxides, dioxides and around Kinning Park…peroxides.

Anyway a couple ventures ago I began my ascent of a well trodden hill, but this time decided to stick to the pavement rather than take the cut-off into ‘Deliverance’ and “Straw Dogs” country…..and I came across this…(in a minute…ok)!

Now does this debunk the Tony Mowbray theory? Was the huddle actually conceived on a girls night out when after a few too many they missed their bus, stripped half naked and created the skeleton for what is now not only iconic throughout the world of football, but is rapidly being adopted by so many teams across the globe?

Of course, surprisingly I could be wrong!!

But it does seem to have a real meaning, probably not connected to a couple of recalcitrant hen-night stragglers deciding to re-enact their favourite cage fighting move.

    Oh aye…the picture….

    Sorry DBHOY,

Thought I needed to finish it with how it all started, was the least I could do.

Done now no more from me on the responding to the baiting, honest.

I don’t think Gamboa had that many chances to be fair, it appeared from the outside that his face didn’t fit. Looked capable in some of the games he played.

I’m sure BR identified other RB’s we didn’t land, Castagne springs to mind.

I don’t understand how it can be so difficult for us as a club to address the need for a new RB. It’s taking far too long imo

    ___

BR signed Gamboa to back up or compete with Lustig for the 2016-17 season. You are right in saying he changed his mind.

By the 2017-18 season, Brendan Rodgers had decided that Ralston was his man. He publicly that Calvin Miller & Ralston will be the back ups to Tierney and Lustig and he was happy with that. On top of that he decided to start Ralston against PSG ahead of Kris Ajer (he decided he’d rather play Lustig CB with Ralston RB over Lustig RB & Ajer CB)

Last season he had given up on Ralston and wanted to sign Piccini (who opted to go to Valencia which is fair enough) or Castagne. Neither deal happened and he was left to pick up Toljan on loan.

    Fess19,

If I see an issue I will hound it, I used the same motivation with Res12. Sometimes the abuse is the price we pay for our persistence, it beats resistance you know.

  6. CANAMALAR

I remember when you started looking for support for what turned out to resolution 12 and I admire and supported you and Auldheid in your persistence. I said on here before the AGM that I will believe that Celtic are doing nothing when they tell me that they are doing nothing. You were informed prior to the AGM that indeed Celtic had told the SFA that they were not happy with the dealings re issuing them with a licence.

Unfortunately Celtic seem to have stalled in their movements since then. I don’t know the next stage but if can get a conclusion maybe your OCD was worthwhile. HH

I agree on Senor Gamboa; the guy was a starter in all Costa Rica world cup games and often praised doing so.

Obv not many know why any player like a CG, Marv or Mulumbu falls out of favour – application at training, form, extra curricular shenanigans or whatever – but I always regarded Christian as way better on the deck than a fully fit Tony R, or half-fit Lustig (who’s being retrospectively lionised by several w short memories).

I reckon it seems hard attracting a class RB because of 2 things; that mob’s financial reputation and the inept governance of the SPFL and SFA. To me, the game’s operations need cleaned up, then properly communicated to the wider fitba community (not that its likely to happen before we need to field a new RB for the quallies) HH

    Fess19,

The Plc did write and had written far more than they disclosed to us, that nondisclosure, then finding out after Regan released it pretty much destroyed any trust we had in them, they were not working in cooperation. The long and short is whatever deal or leverage they had gained using us they failed to consider our perspective. I can hold hand on heart and say they do not want any further action on Res12, they are ok the the club was cheated and the Plc was defrauded, the income gained from sevco all the restitution they need.

  15. It’s a question of competence, when a position desperately needs to be filled and the season has now started, we have not recruited with cruicial matches only weeks away. Whoever we now recruit won’t have the time to bed into the team. Yet again we are gambling with a £40m pot there for the taking and 9 in a row there to be won. We have seen this movie so many times and the man at the healm just doesn’t seem willing or able to execute.

No wonder Rodgers got out of dodge sharpish.

And should they advance, Neil Lennon’s side will then take on either Shkendija or Estonian side Kalju.

Announcing the dates ahead of time, Celtic have confirmed the first leg of this potential clash would take place at Parkhead at 7.45pm on Thursday July 24.
