Cameron Carter-Vickers was rested for the second half against Hibs due to a tight hamstring. Were we not two goals ahead, he might well have played on, but there was no point taking chances. The same argument holds for Kilmarnock on Sunday.
Nat Phillips is more than capable of stepping into the defensive leadership role. He is a competent and experienced professional who has played at levels none of the Kilmarnock side will ever reach. Brendan Rodgers comments last week about Gustaf Lagerbielke and Maik Nawrocki were more nuanced that the reported headlines. The manager made the point that neither player have had an opening with Cameron and Liam Scales having established a solid pairing. We have five fit central defenders; our top man has a tightness which could turn into an injury, but four are in pristine condition.
Whatever the perceived levels of Gustaf and Maik, they are is not a reason to leave them in the stands. Celtic are a club which needs to take promising players from other environments and develops them into great talents. This is the path we must follow, we cannot turn into a club which wastes players.
No risks with Cameron on Sunday, please. There is lots for him to do before the bells toll.

Hinder now conceded 8 goals in a game and a half against them. Totally bizarre
Hinder – Dundee
Var to the rescue:
‘Substitute Dujon Sterling is reckless with his challenge on Cammy Kerr on the edge of the penalty box.
However, a VAR check rules it is just outside and Luke McCowan fires just wide from the free-kick.’
fck the huns
fck the refs
And their pens
If we win the league this year, they will go bust again
99% on that
Thats our focus this year
Hold the back page Vale win – first in 12 league games
Barry Robson keeps his job with a win against the mini huns…
The Huns are in a title race because of shirt pulls.

Penalty bingo
Very theatrical tumble from Sima after a tiny tug that wouldn’t pull my 5 year old grandson over .

She’s certainly on the mend – back to normal for most things ( which isn’t always good 🤭)
Thanks for asking
Long may Barry Robson get the rub of the green.
Just found out that Exeter has now gone 11 games without a win – Gary Caldwell under pressure – where have I heard that before.
John McGinn what a player! We did our usual mess up there.
Villa 1-0 up against arsenal
A certain prodigal son McGinn with the goal
His 4th of the season…
I may go out for a wee drinkie. Decisions Decisions. Oh how I suffer for my art.
What can you say about that hun penalty, the mibs are turning our national sport into World Wide Wrestling League stuff.
Prestonpans
It’s up to the opposing manager to call it out, it’s only if that happens will anything change.
Otherwise it’s just us moaning.
Good evening all from the Victoria Bar.
BIGRAILROADBLUES
Any team news from Brendan in there?
BRRB
Your artistry knows no bounds
Gene
Exactly and only Robson has done so, so far !
the other clubs wont bother saying anything about the penalty corruption
why?
because they will see it as affecting them and all of their league competitors equally because they all get those decisions against them so why would they.stick their head above the parapit?
for the rest of the league celtic arent their real competitors, they will fully expect celtic to finish ahead of them in the league
when it comes down to it the penalty corruption only negatively affects 1 team, and that is celtic
which is why it happens
cheating is their main weapon to defeat us
PP
It would help if the pundits started calling it out – what are the chances – not a lot
LETS ALL DO THE HUDDLE 👍
Both pundits on BBC 1 Scotland called it out this evening. Both said it was soft and that both players were tugging one another.
Pcs – well I never
