bazzabhoy: “We need to practice crossing, final ball from the wide areas were really poor.”
I have often questioned why we insist on trying to get the ball wide and swing in crosses all the time. How many goals have we actually scored from heading in crosses?
We do actually have players who can run at defenders with the ball at their feet, and go past them… Stokes, Sammi, Commons, Forrest, Boerrigter, Ledley, Matthews, Lustig and even Mulgrew & Ambrose have all done it for us before. So why don’t we play more through the middle to feet? If nothing else we would probably get a few free-kicks, and with Mulgrew, Stokes and Commons all capable of hitting some tremendous set-pieces, surely we’d get a goal here and there.
Still a great performance from our Bhoys tonight. Heroes every one of them. Nine points at home, three in Amsterdam and a draw at the Nou Camp and we’re through!
Nae you are not gamriestu, you just post like one. Were you insulting Sammi this time last year in Moscow.

Crossing was dire, even with space to do so. That’s only real criticism on the night.
Really think we can hump Ajax abs can get something at home v Milan. Barca would be a bonus of course and I’m going to Parkhead more in hope than expectation.
Of course we can dwell on our bad luck in this and so many away games in CL. But, look, we’ve had good luck at home in some games all right (Man U, Barca Uefa Cup), so with a few more slices of good fortune we might be level.
Players can take great confidence from the game- AM, Efe, SB and ML all looked very good.
Playing with wingers and wing backs is great and they played well tonight however they need a target to hit and we didn’t have one tonight.
Van Dijk reading of the game and interceptions, especially first half, were fantastic.
For all the Efe moaners, he carried the ball more than their midfield tonight.
Mulgrew & Brown worked their socks off.
Creatively we are still lacking, Milan look very lacking of pace…until the rebound for the second goal.
I know Foster made some punched clearances tonight, can he be coached to put them safe?

Charlie and brownie need to take the blame. They stopped running to close down and Milan got their first goal (all be it lucky) from the position that Chico a nd brownie should have been protecting.
Great performance, but we should have done better.

YNWA playing at stadium now via radio shortbread.Played well,we just didn’t have that wee bit of craft to make a clear cut chance, specially in last 15 mins of first half when we were dominant. They were there for the taking,if we nicked an opening goal i think we would have won it.

Deflection and then the most bizarre decision ever! Ball at corner flag and goes out. If a foul then goal kick and Brown sent off. How can you give a free kick when ball 20 yards away and you followed play?

Over the piece a good performance from us…just a shame the lack of a cutting edge.
Thought Adam Matthews was superb, big Frazer back in form and Broonie was magnificent. He was mugged by Ballotlli and we paid the price.
I thought the referee was really very, very good – obviously except for Ballotelli incident.
Incidentally, is there a smuggler, more anti-Celtic presenter anywhere than that wee twat Tanner?
They were their for the taking…. we had to take our chances but didn’t but didn’t deserve tpo lose either.
We had plenty of the ball but didn’t do enough to hurt them when we had the chance. 9 corners and we didn’t really threaten. Stokesy was desperately unlucky with the free kick, if Sammy shoots from yard closer it’s a goal, and if Kissy commons hits his reverse pass to broony with a bit more pace he is in the box beyond De Jong with a great chance to score but as it was he had to slow to wait for the ball. All if buts and maybes but yet again luck deserts us in Europe…
So unlucky not to get a point

I have never rated Samar-ass Corkcelt.
Call me whatever you like bud, but apart from the odd (really odd) bit of brilliance, he is NOT a team player and gives up far too easily on many balls which could easily get/win.
I take no offence at your jibe but believe me I always think of “Bambi on ice” when I see him running with the ball.
Just my opinion like.
Hail Hail and hope tae fek we are more willing to attack next game

What a pity tonight. However, that was a very good performance from the bhoys. Rarely have I seen us so composed and comfortable on the ball away from home in Europe.
This was against AC Milan in the San Siro and we certainly weren’t outclassed by any manner of means.
Well done the team and coaches.
P.S. Glad we were reminded that we can watch Sevco’s rise back to the top. Arggh!

He blew a gasket in an earlier run. You can see it happening for any player who has had to make long runs. Lenny saw it and Boerrintger was an obvious replacement.

Collins should just punch that wee hun of a commentator for that opening comment and other snide remarks.
Gene’s a bhoy – I can hardly remember the cb’s being mentioned, they were that good, fingers crossed for the future
I’m not gonna accept this “Rubbish Milan team” nonsense
Milan are one of the greatest teams in Europe (they have super Mario FFS)
Tonight, we outplayed them on their own patch
We were unlucky to lose – but so were (honestly) Moscow against us last year
Great performance from the bhoys – Broonie could grace any team

We don’t know the future, perhaps Celtic have inspired AC to challenge Barca for Top Spot.
I think Celtic can Win the CL and I have bet on them doing it, perhaps you weren’t aware of this. :))
There are a lot of transitional, Top, teams around Europe at the moment and now, is as good a Time as any for Celtic to recreate Lisbon. :D
Bring them All ON.

Mathews had clearly ran out of steam so can see why he was hooked.
Anyone seen the “foul” on Ballotelli
Beaten by a wicked deflection and then no luck at a free kick.
Balotti for all his talent is a cheat, a diver and an actor.
He’s wasn’t the only one at it: DeJong.
Why do refs swallow it?
50 years I’ve been watching cheats rolling about.
We got beat on the night, but at least we can hold our heads up.
Unlucky Celtic, our time will come.
Gardez la Foi
What an engine Matthews has, that run he had was amazing Just when he had the beatings of their right hand side he was taken off
One thing about commons is his link play. A very smart player I think he done ok tonite. Antony apart from free kick did not contribute as much
Strange substitutions
Ah well, thats CL football. You take ur luck
TBJ, I thought so too, we beat Barca with less of a performance.
Wall on on the tambourine at San siro
luck on Milan side but 5 games to go…….

Virgil Van Dijk definitely looks like an upgrade on Kelvin Wilson. Him and Efe were superb.
