Despite losing this match, this has got to be one of our most composed CL game away from home. I thought we played very well and were a bit unlucky. Well done the team and Lenny on showing how we belong in the CL. Hail Hail
Well done Bhoys, we got a performance if not a result.
We have a chance in this group, Milan at home, every chance, Ajax, home and away, both a chance, Barca, who knows!
We can qualify, we could loose every game, if we play like that I doubt we will loose every game.
Good performance . Lets build on this performance against a £100m plus team.

Players and management must be gutted.
FT tough lesson for the Bhoys. We were great for 80 mins, ran out of steam and it fell apart. Unlucky on the first goal and a poor fk given away by Brown for the second.
We had some chances but at this level you have to take them.
Bottom line, we were not expected to get anything from this game and we didn’t. Barcelona won which is good for us. Home games are key.

A good, disciplined performance undone by the inability to take our chances when they came served up on a golden platter. Cue heartbreaker of a deflection and an old-fashioned piece of Italian cheating to win a free-kick and pounce without mercy on the dejected Celts.

We learned a lesson tonight ….NEVER underestimate a CL opponent….we were brilliant, though….just a wee lack of concentration near the end …..if Commons and Mathews were OK, they shouldn’t have been taken off ……. But they were both probably dead on their feet…..

Celtic had everything in their favour tonight and blew it big time albeit with a distinct lack of luck with the goals they lost.
We had enough chances to get in front and no cutting edge means we lose our first game in the groups AGAIN
We still cannot win in Italy and in the San Siro in particular.
Milan were poor Matri and Balotelli aside. They are a very poor team given the resources they have compared to Celtic and Celtic blew it tonight.
Great possession, great play, no cutting edge meant Milan would score – it was almost inevitable.
Sick for the team and Neil Lennon but to play with the big boys you have to score when you’re on top.

that’s bollox…tell me 1 thing that happened tonight that finbogason would have made any difference, as for fletcher, we could have offered 10m that year and hibs would not have sold to us..agreed we should have bought in that window, but to bring it upto night is ridiculous..

Hard to get a handle on that game.
We weren’t very good,but they were worse.
Yet, we lost 2-0.
One thing was learnt. Stokes is not a lone striker.
We took too long to make changes.
Adam should have been off at half time.
Our centre halfs didn’t deserve that result, although it took a deflection and a rebound from a needlessly conceded free kick.
A strange game leaving a strange feeling.

We shall overcome this loss.
Neils Bhoys were superb tonight.
We even had a ref who was better than the usual fare.
We got a bloody indirect free kick and still couldn’t score.
Some of the delivery from Celtic was lacking as well.
YES there were positives in the performance but in this group in particular you need to take your chances when you’re on top.
Thankfully Barcelona won 4-0.

Lots of positivity.As there should be.
Mature performance.
As far as I’m concerned any mineshafters can eff right off. The Bhoys did extremely well tonight. Anto hit the bar minutes before that wicked deflection. An off the ball free that probably wouldn’t have been conceded only for the frustration of falling behind. We matched them everywhere for 82 minutes, some great performances, proud of Lenny & the Bhoys.
Complaining about players we didnt sign …waste of time

Have you seen a clear picture of the FK
From what I saw, not too well or too much, both players were jostling for position.
Ballotelli is too cute and too much of a cheat and draws the foul by going down.
He didnt look too harmed when he got up to take the FK.

CowieBhoy, fair comment, but we are still a young team, learning, and frankly doing well at a tough away CL game.
They will fear CP, so will many others, this year and for many years to come.
We are building.
Bad luckfor the Bhoys, lack of pace up front cost us big time, poor Milan defence and Lenny was right to have a go.
The game came to quick for Teemu and Nir hope they are up and running in 2 weeks.
Bad luck yet again in Italy.

After 65 minutes, it was clear that they were making their effort and we did not react tactically by changing personnel and shape. Defending too deep brings failure. However, overall, away from hoe against top class opposition that was a very good performance and there is still all to play for.
I repeat,and I’ll keep repeating–we need a playmaker. KC is good, but at this level you need a bit of magic. A Lubo,maybe,but there are players in Spain who would enhance this Celtic team.That just,tonight,sums up Celtic’s luck.Should have won the game,and the last 10 minutes buggers it.Izzy really is an unlucky player.
