  1. I think Neil had his tactics spot on, but we really need to work on crossing the ball.

Plenty of opportunities wide tonight (the lad Constant looked terrified of Matthews), yet seldom did a dangerous ball come into the box.

We will beat them at home and think we can take six points off Ajax.

A lot of good signs that should leave us optimistic. I agree with BigChips that our ball players should have more confidence to run at defenders.

None of our corners – and there was a god number – threatened.

  3. People saying Milan are a poor side, the 3 Man City players Balotelli, Robinho & De Jong cost about 43 million plus add ons. We played some great football but they have world class quality forwards, there was no disgrace tonight, in a weird way I think I’d be more gutted if we lost one nil.

Tanner is thick and he’s a Hun. It’s well known that that is not a good combination.

  5. MickBhoy 1888 if you are going post continuous negative drivel at least get it grammatically correct….

Unfair to whom!! not who….tut tut with that kind of grammar I have to ask, are you a hun?

  6. paolosboots Good Luck Wee Oscar on

Proud of performance thought we used the ball well. if tonys free kick had been a few inches lower. given we lost the spine of the team we are still a good side we will learn and third would be a great achievement .

  7. The first goal was the killer. I don’t think the 2nd really mattered.

    TBH, we wouldn’t have equalised.

As somebody said, the subs didn’t work out.

Not NL’s fault – you win some, you lose some but maybe the unfamiliarity of 2 new players was a factor.

Still, a much better performance than most of our away matches.

  8. MickBhoy1888, I really think each team will take points from one another, Barca excepted, only we will take points from them.

We can take points from Milan at home, Ajax, we can beat at home, we can away.

We might not, that, I suppose is why it’s compulsive.

Once again Celtic fail to take their chances, Milan were vunerable and there for the taking. Poor performance to loss to such a poor side. No excuses we should have had the game sewn up way before they scored. When we face them at Celtic Park there better players will be fit, the team missed a great opportunity to be the first to win in Italy.

    Very very disapointed

Anyone who believes that cheats never win has obviously not been following the fortunes of the team formerly known as Rangers. Maybe they’ll sign Ballotelli in the twighlight of his career.

  11. bognorbhoyle oscar in my thoughts on

when expectations are high the downs are harder to accept.

we played well tonight , do we ever get the breaks?

  12. Very very unlucky………..I see the usual utter pish

on here tonight…..Celtic quick news…..ma erse.

  13. So Tanner thinks Stoksie would have scored rather than hit the bar if he’d dragged he ball back a yard.

What a hurting wee Hun bassa this creature is.

  14. TBJ Praying for Oscar Knox on

Off to bed… gutted to lose in the san siro…perspective

Very proud of the bhoys tonight

    Keeping the faith

  15. A fine performance over the piece; better than last season IMO. Unlucky and Balotelli

bad boy stuff did us no favours.

    GoodNight to all Tims.

I’ll probably get slated but I don’t understand why Lenny changed things at all.

A few things learned from tonight

Matthews can play wing very well …

    CBs looked a decent partnership

FF is still a top class keeper

Stokes can’t play up front on his own

Decent performance ….set pieces poor …lacked a cutting edge …

  18. That is hard to take. I think Paul should remove the ban on swearing for just one night.

We played well and I won’t criticise any of them but that was a poor Milan line up held together by a brilliant Mexes and Ballotelli (yes, he conned the ref several times but he’s good at it).

We now have a real tough one to face at CP in Barca and I cannot expect any miracles.

We have some good men at Celtic just now. If we had just a bit more cutting edge, we might just jump this glass ceiling yet.

    Gutted

    HT

    Both bhoys subbed looked done

Think he thought Boerrigter would get space and went for it bringing on Pukki

    Neither sub worked

  20. Ambrose and Virgil exceptional tonight,i think if the forwards gave the runners with the ball a better angle to run on to a pass,it would have negated the hopeful cross balls.

  21. We did play badly tonight, plenty of the play, but poor passing in crucial areas, starved Anto,!

who looked like with a little luck, had more than the measure of them, no excuses, it was there for them!

It would seem that our players are afraid of making mistakes, I wonder why.

That team was three for the taking, and I feel for our management staff!

They deserved better, however, the players showed that, with a little more thought,

this is far from finished, we still have a lot to play for!

    H.H.

It’s the standard tape handed to our opposition to keep our away support placated within the stadium for an hour after the game while the official party make a beeline forthe airport in order that we don’t impede them on route to trying to get home to solve GTA 5

  23. A wee reminder of my prediction for the season

    made @start of June 2013

Celtic to win the Domestic Treble

Celtic to defeat Sevco in a Cup Competition

Celtic to qualify for the CL group stage

Celtic to finish 3rd and drop into the EL

Celtic to reach the EL Semi Final

Happy Days n Hail Hail – Off oot.

Do you think so . I dont think scott brown should have got involved . No doubt he did against a real cute customer , but broonie has enough experience to handle guys like him . I posted my opinion ,as others have . And i will continue to post my views , sorry if you dont agree with me .

  25. Now for the really important topic. Why the feck were we wearing the yellow 2nd kit? Since when can Green and White hoops not be differentiated from red and black horizontal stripes? Questions need to be asked. Personally I think it is because the fashionistas and style gurus of Milan would not allow the hideous beach wear that masquerades as our home shirt within a zillion miles of Milan.

  26. Didn`t see any of the game but from a reading of quite a selection of CQN posts I gather we played well; missed some chances; were unlucky; have found a fine central defence partnership; had a ref who was fairer than we are used to in Scotland;had a Hun commentator.

    Fair assessment?

  27. HT

I think it was right to freshen things, AM looked knackered but it was unfortunate that Milan got a lucky goal not long after the subs came on.

    Sore one tonight..

  28. Hugh Bonkle fae Dallas on

Can’t believe that. Not many teams will play as well as that in the San Siro. But I don’t know what it is, is it game nous, intelligence or just a cynical attitude but we never seem to get the results we merit.

If we can keep this level of performance up we’ll qualify.
