    Groundhog Day.

     

     

    Another toothless, naive, pathetic, powderpuff performance from Celtic, against a team who are about as good as Hearts on a good day.

     

     

    I’ve backed Ronny so far, but this is a horror show. On this evidence we are going backwards at a rate of knots.

     

     

    Feel sorry for the fans who made the journey, got soaked, and will have to pay about a tenner a pint…

    Chris Sutton calling it right in his commentary. We’re looking for a couple of Celts to step up and take our game by the scruff of the neck. We need to start lifting our passes off the surface and inject a sense of urgency into our game.

     

    Still hopeful of something if Ronnie has it in him to inspire.

    We are giving the ball away too often. Too many unforced errors. Sutton is doing my head in by continually pointing out our build up is too slow, too slow but he is 100% correct. Let’s hope Ronny gives the team a rollocking at half time and we salvage something from this. We have good players but, Bitton apart, No one is playing well.

     

     

    Boyata again gave the ball away for the first goal but I think Craig Gordon was even more culpable by leaving his near post exposed. The centre back who took the cornet actually skinned Griffiths on the left before crossing for the sclaffed volley.

     

     

     

    Anyway, let’s hope for a better second half. Weather is shocking though. It has to be said.

    Worth highlighting that if we were 2 nil down to the equivalent 7th team in our SPL ( Dundee or similar) we might still not fancy our chances on such a horrible pitch. …..

    I posted before the game about not being able to play our usual way with full backs miles up the park, as they break at pace in wide areas. Why we couldn’t adjust is beyond me, Lustig and izzy 80 yards up the park, unfortunately we have to assume Boyata won’t keep the ball

    Pass and move, simple stuff really.

     

    Trouble is we are passing to the oppo, and we have no movement when in posession.

     

    Seen us play better must admit.

     

    The system is not to blame, it’s the players.

    The defence is a mess. I’d be confident of scoring against us these days.

     

     

    Gordon’s form has also went to pieces. His positioning at the first goal was amateurish.

     

     

    Unless we turn this around, I really fear for Ronny.

    It’s not losing two goals to the team leading the group, it’s the mAnner of the performance and goals conceded.

     

     

    We should and could be sitting high at the top of this group , individual mistakes and naive attics leave us looking to crash and burn.

    I think that Izzy and lustig are causing a lot of the problems in the middle of defence. Both been pretty poor.

    I’m going to stick my neck out and go for 2-2. No idea how it will happen but I’m keeping positive.

    Molde have suckered us. They sat back and let us have the ball, in first 10 minutes we had 73% possession and 2 decent chances. Then in space of 3 minutes bang bang you’re dead.

     

    Weall have eyes and can see what’s happening but what I would describe as a kind of perverse gloating by some on here is shameful. I’m no ultra supporter but I’ll support the team to the last kick of the ball tonight.

     

    When game is over is time enough for the post mortem.

    Hmm. Not a good performance. I will wait til end until I make sweeping comments. No I won’t make sweeping comments. I will wait for the analysis from the usual. My main criticism is playing the full backs so high up away from home. Too late now. I don’t think the conditions suit any of our players. Time to recruit from the Junior Leagues when playing in these conditions…

     

    God Bless the fans over there. Hope they get a better second half.

    Get 2 men up cut out the midfield and lakes,route one get them working.

     

    If he needs to keep Johanson on to avoid National ridicule then wide left and run them.

     

     

    Boyata shocking,Gordon dis-appointed,Izzy the guy who scored no 2 was yours.

     

     

    Hoping but need to change re conditions.

    I like to be positive but that first half was appalling by Celtic. ChrisSutton is right, we are far too slow in the build up. I would go for long balls up the park, get a goal back (hopefully) and regroup from there.

    We can’t keep tolerating the same people (those in the park and those in the dug out) making the same mistakes over and over again.

     

     

    Our defence is so poor, and our tactics so wide open and gung-ho, that we need to score 3 goals to have any sniff of winning a game at this level. To score 3 goals every time you play in Europe is a huge ask.

     

     

    We didn’t know it at the time but Lady Luck did us a favour when Malmo put us out the CL. Real Madrid, PSG and Donetsk would be filling their boots against this Celtic team.
