We started well, then cut our own throat with sloppy passing and abject defending. First goal was a catalogue of poor decisions by our defenders, not least Gordon’s position exposing his near post.
Second goal another failure to deal effectively with a corner kick.
What worries me most is the pedantic sideways & back passing to ensure that Molde get 11 men behind the ball. Our movement off the ball is poor, leaving few options for the man with the ball. What are the bench doing about the pattern of play? It would seem not a lot, perhaps RD should come out into the rain and start managing the problems we have on the park – or is he hiding because he doesn’t know how to fix it? RD’s jacket should be on a shoogly peg!

Perhaps I should have defined unforced errors in my pre match comment.
It means you don’t give the ball away when not under pressure.
Need to play the long ball and hope to pick up clearances. That means two up front and hitting it high with hope.
As someone said earlier this performance got Mowbray the sack but in a similar situation a fight back kept Neil Lennon in a job.
It’s our approach that has to change but I think the players simply cannot handle the conditions.

Two very poor goals to lose, first one especially, given the intercepted pass from DB was in the opposition half. Bitton had a chance to stop the counter from 35 yards out and was skipped past and our ‘keeper shouldn’t have been beaten at his near post like that.
Should really be 0-0 given the conditions and quality of football played.
We are dominating position against a counter attacking team who are doing just that.
