Mulgrew’s magnificent delivery

1279

I watched Scotland play a more accomplished Wales last night.  No one in blue played particularly well but when Charlie Mulgrew prepared to take a corner from the right in first half stoppage time we knew Wales were in danger.

The pace, low trajectory and movement Charlie gets on the ball negates the natural advantage the defending team has.  The goal had little to do with the young lad who got on the end of the cross, just as Celtic’s remarkable success from corners has little to do with their ability to attack the ball.

The Wee Oscar 4 Life team have asked me to pass on this message:

Wee Oscar 4 Life are delighted to be offering you the chance to win a fantastic and very unique auction prize.

We have been donated a very special bottle of 8 year old Bowmore, which has come straight from the cask. The Whisky is 59.4%, unlike a normal malt whisky which is cut to 40% proof.

The whisky was distilled on 13 March 2001, and bottled on 26 June 2009.  It has been donated by a very kind CQNer. However, not content with already donating 3 bottles from his share of the cask to raise funds for Wee Oscar , we now have his prized possession:

Bottle no 1 of 251.  A very special prize in aid of a very special wee bhoy.

Place you auction bids from 1pm to us @ weeoscar4life@gmail.com

Auction closes: 7pm tomorrow (Sunday) night

‘Fast tracking’ hits the skids thanks to Stirling Albion, and shuts them up for a few days when they can’t beat or cheat fellow Div Three teams.

A group of Gers fans I went to college with (4 of them) all wore the Hoops for a charity match we played in and one of the lads from Trinidad quite happily wears green whenever the mood takes him.

Three of my closest mates are of the South side persuasion and we all played in green and yellow for years.

    Not all numpties.

I have come across a huge amount of plastic model kits, mainly cars, and am having a problem sourcing somewhere that I can offload them.

I want to sell as a job lot as opposed to one at a time.

    Some are quite rare.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

They are not mine, they are to help a young lassie start a new life in scotland.

Well done whoever got the bottle of nectar, wonderfull gesture.

  4. Congratulations and well done to whoever got the bottle of Bowmore, unfortunately my budget scarcely kept me interested for the first couple of hours

My point is exactly that, it IS about Salmond, and the SNP. I’d vote for independence if the SSP were at the helm though :)

To grant him an independent state (where he would unavoidably be in charge at inception) is the folly here. The proof is there: re-construction of the rozzers, involvement with land deals and tax evasion with Minty and other bankers, courting of the meeja, appeasement of money men such as Trump. Any news on what happened to Christine Graham’s PA who published a blog on her former employer’s anti-Catholic sentiments?

Aye but some bassa frae London has just imposed a bedroom tax to destroy any chance of mutual consummation amongst Scots.

  11. It’s hard to bring back wanted players from the EPl given the wage they are on. The only way Boruc or McCarthy get to come back or come to us is if they lose form and get dropped., like that N’Guemo guy there are rumours about.

I am sure those rumours are unfounded, just in case Winning Gemmell is reading.

Vote yes, vote no, diarrhoea will always be there… It’s a bi-product of the pseudo intellectual.

Me, I’m just a run of the mill Celtic fan / supporter enjoying Paul67s blog, but it seems to have been hijacked by the above.

Anyway, off oot as Kev would say, but back to the lurking when the hangover kicks in..

Yes, and if Southampton stay up, and their 4 points clear of relegation, they will easily offer him more than we can pay. Even if they are relegated, Artur, having established himself as first choice there might attract a bid from another EPL or promoted team, willing to pay more from their inflated TV deal money if they believe Artur has sorted out his issues.

I’d love him back too but established or desired EPL level players are currently beyond us.

  20. ledtclicktic If you are talking about Keiran Westwood, I think he is at Sunderland. David Forde of Millwall played for Ireland against Sweden last Saturday and looked very impressive, he is 33 years of age but thats O.K.for a Keeper.
