No one will ‘do a Regi’

200

Heading away from home in Europe, to a team who looked pretty decent at Celtic Park, when we’ve already qualified and have left players at home to train, or avoid suspension, would under many circumstances be a toxic portent for Celtic.

We seldom travel well in group stage competition, nor when there is little at stake, but if we’ve learned anything about Ronny Deila it’s that he will let those who do play know what is expected of them.

Stefan Scepovic or Leigh Griffiths have a point to prove?  A field in Zagreb will be available to them.  Whoever plays, you can guarantee no one will ‘do a Regi’.  Kids can ask their mum or dad about that one.

No suspensions, no injuries, please, Celtic.

I’m sure it is something to do with the gas. It has to settle after being moved. These fancy new ones might be OK though.

Thanks. They DO seem to have an inordinate number of their games televised…..or maybe it just seems that way. No doubt followers of other teams will be saying it always either us or Them on TV. I would like some stats to know if that is true. Anyone?

  3. After moving up the youth ranks for years, Prosinečki started getting occasional first team appearances during the 1986–87 league season under head coach Miroslav Blažević. On his league debut versus FK Željezničar, he managed to score a goal. By the end of the season, he recorded one more league appearance.

Wanting to secure his son’s financial future, Prosinečki’s father Đuro started pushing within club hierarchy for a professional contract to be given to his 18-year-old son.[5] However, coach Blažević sent him away, famously claiming that he would eat his coaching diploma if Prosinečki ever became a real football player.
