Ogilvie and Regan must now resign

968

What you and I have known for months was established as true by the BBC last night, Rangers improperly registered players for over a decade.  Following the programme there was some bluster by a firm of accountants who clearly have a lot to worry about, but nothing has been said to dispute the dual contract claim.

The SLP have not added to their 65 word statement released ahead of the broadcast.  SFA chief executive Stewart Regan has told the BBC the association will not act, unless called to do so as an appeal body, and SFA President What-school-did-you-go-to has not uttered a word.

Campbell Ogilvie was an executive director of Rangers when it carried out a dual contract system in contravention of the rules of the SFA.  This is an established fact which is likely to have severe repercussion for the Scottish game and the club.  It is inconceivable that he continues to act as president of the SFA, especially when it has taken the decision not to become involved, despite being the only body competent to investigate breaches across all domestic competitions.

He must resign immediately or be fired.  If Mr Regan does not understand this he should be fired too.  He is there to take the hard decisions, not to make friends.  He has abandoned fans at the time they most need clear leadership.

Anyone on the board in any doubt about this matter must follow them out the door.  The SFA is professional body with budget of millions of pounds, not an old boys club, and should act accordingly.

And now, the end is here, And so I face the final curtain My friend, I’ll say it clear I’ll state my case, of which I’m certain I’ve lived a life that’s full I traveled each and ev’ry highway And more, much more than this, I did it my way

Regrets, I’ve had a few (EBTs) But then again, too few to mention (?) I did what I had to do (£6M in the bank) and saw it through without exemption (check the records) I planned each charted course, (yes I did) each careful step along the byway And more, much more than this. , I did it my way. (like the BBC have just pointed out)

Yes, there were times, I’m sure you knew (well I know now!) When I bit off more than I could chew (just a wee bit, but Paul Baxendale-Walker said it’ll be right) But through it all, when there was doubt (no fae me) I ate it up and spit it out I faced it all and I stood tall and did it my way

I’ve loved, I’ve laughed and cried I’ve had my fill, my share of losing And now, as tears subside, (not fae the LL) I find it all so amusing (you find it amusing, try being a Celtic fan!!!) To think I did all that And may I say, not in a shy way, “Oh, no, oh, no, not me, I did it my way”

For what is a man, what has he got?If not himself, then he has naught To say the things he truly feels and not the words of one who kneels The (daily) record shows I took the blows and did it my way!

Yes, it was my way (for every £5 they spend, we’ll spend £10)

    Good times!

& as an afterthought very surprised dumb & dumber are still in the picture.

    Hey lads

    Who wants a conspiracy theory?

    Right, here goes ….

Rangers CVA proposal gets sent out on Monday 28 May.

Creditors meeting called for 11 June, for details of the CVA.

Under the consultation process, the final decision won’t be in until 28 days later.

We are now on July 9. When does the season start?

The fixtures list will be out long before that. Season tickets will have been sold. Celtic has already sold tickets at varying prices, some on the basis of no Rangers games, others on the basis of two. Other clubs fans know what they’re getting. TV schedules will have been drawn up. Everything will be in play.

Doncaster will go to the clubs with the proposal to allow the NewCo which will inevitably spring up to go straight into the league. At that point, he will hold over the heads of all of us more than just a TV deal.

Season tickets will be rendered invalid. The TV schedule will be torn up. The SPL will face multi million pound lawsuits from Sky, potentially from fans, and other commercial sponsors. It will, quite literally, be termed The End of the SPL. Without Rangers, they will tell us, everything will collapse.

How many no votes will there be? Want a bet right now?

    Not even one.

gonny bore you with an IBM story.

I presented to McCleland maybe 20 times when he was plant manager in Greenock, so he knew me , I would guess.

He left and a few years later I met him in different circumstances.

His BIL was my manager, they grew up together in Drumchapel , and the biggest self centred hun type.

    ———————————————————

I had just been promoted to a Manager, big deal, it wasnt me that wanted it.

I did a Quality Scotland EFQM submission for the part i worked in, and hotly tipped to be a cert for the 1st prize in the awards held at EICC .

Turned up on the day, did my presentation in front of maybe 600 people.

All looked good for a prize.

Lunch time, had a wee drink.

BIL says let me introduce you to John.

I said I know him allready.

He says, yes, but he doesnt know you with my support.

    ok

Pumpkin head comes over to the table.

BIL says this is Stevie, new manager great prospect for the future, brought into an IBM tradition.

ah says the bold John , IBM, fantastic Scottish location with a world class heritage.

but i cant really remember you .

but IBM, great managers, so the key to being a manager yourself is to take lessons from working in IBM, who was the good managers you learned from, who was the bad managers you learned not to use their methods.

    good insight john thanks.

so stevie, in all those years working , who is your favorite manager ?

By the time the decision is taken in June clubs will have ALREADY sold their season tickets. Do you really not get it? Everything is being done possible to delay this decision; why do you reckon?

For weeks I have thought time was running out for Rangers. Today, I am convinced that time is actually running away from us.

Once this gets to a certain point, how do you throw Rangers out of the league? When does the balance tilt, and it’s too late without wrecking every echelon of the Scottish game? Season tickets will have been sold at every level. Fixture lists will be published. Games will be locked in. How do you promote Dundee after every fan has bought season tickets for Division 1?

The ripple effects touch every league, and every club. The carnage does not stop in the SPL with this one. That is the picture which will be painted.

You think fan power will stop that?

Remember this date; 24 May 2012. Remember what I said.

When the SPL fixture list comes out, If Rangers name is on it, … that’s our line in the sand. At that point, it is act … or it’s over.

    No what the Celtic season ticket statement says is this;

” Special Season Tickets which exclude games against Rangers FC (or a successor to it)”

A successor to it is a clear reference to a NewCo. Not Dundee.
