What you and I have known for months was established as true by the BBC last night, Rangers improperly registered players for over a decade. Following the programme there was some bluster by a firm of accountants who clearly have a lot to worry about, but nothing has been said to dispute the dual contract claim.
The SLP have not added to their 65 word statement released ahead of the broadcast. SFA chief executive Stewart Regan has told the BBC the association will not act, unless called to do so as an appeal body, and SFA President What-school-did-you-go-to has not uttered a word.
Campbell Ogilvie was an executive director of Rangers when it carried out a dual contract system in contravention of the rules of the SFA. This is an established fact which is likely to have severe repercussion for the Scottish game and the club. It is inconceivable that he continues to act as president of the SFA, especially when it has taken the decision not to become involved, despite being the only body competent to investigate breaches across all domestic competitions.
He must resign immediately or be fired. If Mr Regan does not understand this he should be fired too. He is there to take the hard decisions, not to make friends. He has abandoned fans at the time they most need clear leadership.
Anyone on the board in any doubt about this matter must follow them out the door. The SFA is professional body with budget of millions of pounds, not an old boys club, and should act accordingly.

Wouldn’t all this conjecture about thems being allowed into the SPL, if we simply refused to sign any contract with SKY, which includes thems?
As a support, we could simply refuse to attend any game involvng those clubs who vote to include thems.
If the SFA/SPL don’t act with integrity, and an integrity which is transparent, surely we have some redress? UEFA, surely, cannot turn a blind eye to criminal behaviour and/or corruption.
oh and btw I broke a chair when sitting outside..
I blame too much jelly n ice cream….

At least you didn’t call me a hun, tho in saying that, a hun, a fud, mismo…….
PL and the rest of the suits do what they are told, they work to DD’s agenda.
Now if you think that doing what you are told is anything other than a puppet, pray enlighten me as to what they are then ?
Jobo, Hows BB going for you? What episode you on now?

I understand Celtic remaining quiet from an official perspective. However . . . Perhaps it’s time our Club got a former player or two to start up a newspaper/chatshow/ TV PR campaign in the same way Ibrox uses Hately and Goram as unofficial spokesmen.
We need a couple of players who are ready to do some tub-thumping about being cheated out of cups and titles and euro appearances. Boruc and Sutton would fit the bill – needs to be players who don’t give a monkeys about being popular with the mainstream.
In an ideal world ex-managers would weigh in – Mowbray and Strachan should now tell the truth. They were competing against a cheating club.
I’m sick of our ex-players being apologists while their ex-players happily spout opinions that are 100% pro-RFC (IA).
Forget Nicholas, McLeod, Provan and Walker. Get some people out there who are willing to put the boot in.
Happy Lisbon Day!
One of my favourite photos
I contacted Mike Russell SNP MSP last year. It was about the offensive behavour bill going through the scots parliament, during my email correspondense with him the issue of orange marches was raised. Mr Russell left me in no doutb about where he stood on the issue of bigot parades, he refered to them as being an important part of Scotlands cultural identity and that they should be preserved. I deleted the emails some time ago but I assure you he has no sympathy with those of a green persuasion. So if you intend contacting him BEAR this this little piece of info in mind ;)

Wonkyradar (some way back),
Duineser Elegien? Nope, haven’t actually read them, but I’m impressed – not so impressed, tho’ as I was by the humilty that you showed after getting tanked for your remarks about WGS.
BTW if you want to know whether I’m a wind-up merchant, the sensible thing to do is ask me.

Finished Season 3 a few weeks ago (absllutely brilliant!) and then took a wee break and tried out Game Of Thrones. Can’t make my mind up over that one but stuck with it till the end of Series 1. I have BB Season 4 and expect to get into this over the next couple of weeks. But not while the weather’s so good… ;-)

Happy Jubilee Birthday VP.
Celtic already beamback some of the games on sky/espn, so what’s to stop them beaming them all back, provided they are on sky/espn which of course 90% are.

You are spot on with your Motherwell comment

after 5 cider and 6 lager they are still pests… 0))
Just spent the last few hours trying to catch-up on the weeks events (been daan saaaf all week). Haven’t seen Mark Daly’s programme yet but from what I’ve picked up so far from Paul/Phil/RTC/AT’s wonderful scribing is that they really need nanny mcphee.
The rfc(IA) advent calendar that has lasted three months so far has been brilliant. Everyday another window opens in the big hoose with a nice wee surprise behind it. It will soon be time to open the big window, and then the festivities can really start.

Happy Birthday to CQN’s champion tipster… Voguepunter
Hope you have a fantastic day, mate !
All the best, fleagle1888
I watched Newsnight Scotland via iPlayer and could hardly believe it when I heard Paul Murray bleating for urgent action & investigations.
And him & Spiers desperately trying to ignore the dead elephant in the room.
You could hardly miss the smell.
Thug F.C’s rotting carcass.
And Duff & Phelps blustering legalese about suing the beeb is just that…idiot wind.
They were asked to come onto Newsnight and refused, stating that they were in a legal dispute with Collyer Bristow.
Smoke and mirrors….smoke and mirrors.
Even the ludge loyalists will have to wipe their hands of this.

Eddie,
That is a disgrace. I responded to Ernie earlier who had pointed out that ole Mike had resigned from the Lodge upon election in 2007. And we complain about SNP minnows who want to “even things up”. Perhaps the thing is not to lobby directly but try to highlight issues in the media (lol) and shame them.
If they have any.
Oh yeah….when’s our first ‘derby’ against Murderwell…..?

I haven’t been able to get any word today on the status of Mr Charles Green. It’s like he has disappeared. Very strange.
Come on Charlie gie’s a wee wave at least!!

I’m getting there (;-)
I sometimes dream of Ibrox being like Cathkin Park, and Rangers going down the Third Lanark route ,and not the Airdrie United one.
That however will never happen.

Re C Green – posted earlier and taken from the Leggo blog:
TOMORROW and only here, exclusively!
A new name lurking in the background of the Green Gang. A new name with links to Charles Green.
A name which will send a chill of horror and anger surging through every Rangers supporter.
Let’s hope he’s right :)
I received this by email today – to be honest I thought it was spam or a virus (it came in PDF format) but turns out to be a reply to an email i sent to Alex Salmond a goodly number of months ago.
Worth the wait. Not.
Dear Correspondent
Thank you for your correspondence to Scottish Ministers about statements made on
developments at Rangers Football Club. I have been asked to reply.
The Scottish Government fully recognise that it is vital that both individuals and organisations
pay their taxes in a timely manner as taxation is essential to the economic and social
development of Scotland. I would like to reassure you that any comments made by members
of this Government have always stressed the fact that we expect Rangers FC, or any other
football club or business for that matter, to meet its obligations to the taxpayer. We have
also recognised the importance of an agreement being reached between the club and HM
Revenue & Customs which ensures that tax liabilities and debts are met.
Duff and Phelps are the appointed administrators and we want to see an outcome in the best
interests of the staff at Rangers, their supporters and the game of football in Scotland as a
whole. We have offered the administrators the support of our national programme for
responding to redundancy situations, Partnership Action For Continuing Employment
(PACE) to assist any employees who may be facing redundancy and PACE representatives
are maintaining close contact with the administrators. PACE support is always available and
is always offered to anyone and everyone facing redundancy, PACE have offered this type
of assistance to Scottish football clubs in the past and stand ready to assist any football
clubs and other companies in the future.
You will appreciate that the administrators are taking forward the process of assessing the
business and securing an outcome in the best interests of all the creditors. It is therefore too
early to comment on potential outcomes however I want to be clear that no public money
would be offered to bail out any football club and this remains the case with Rangers
The ol’ waiting game …….. tic-tock, tic-tock
A name which will send a chill of horror and anger surging through every Rangers supporter.
John Paul????????????
