Ordinary looking Celtic fail to show

1243

Despite a remarkably solid defensive record, we have lost four and three goals on our two visits to Ibrox this season, although two of yesterday’s goals were lost with a two man deficit.  We were deservedly a goal down before Cha Du-Ri was ordered off and the contest irrevocably skewed.  Several Celtic players looked panicked from the opening minutes and it wasn’t until Kris Commons started to menace the Rangers midfield that we appeared comfortable in possession.

Until then, we looked pretty ordinary.

After a remarkably consistent run of games that ensured this season’s league title is Celtic’s, two big games, which could each have delivered a trophy, have been lost.

The drive to the line which is needed for teams to fulfil their potential is not there yet. It will come. Days like yesterday, months like October, are what team building is all about.

If you need a pick-me-up, enjoy The Celtic Family video above, its’ sure to hit the spot.

I understand why Celtic fans try and see past Calum Murray’s influence on the result of the game.

I didn’t like the Celtic team selection (there I’ve said it) but we simply can’t analyse it, too deeply, because this squad made the 25 point swing in the first instance, and each and every time Neil Lennon formatted the selection, which trumped their 15 point lead.

We never saw Celtic on Sunday because we weren’t allowed to.

Neil Lennon still makes mistakes, so do Mourinho and Mancini, but I’m one offing yesterdays big house chicanery.

Mulgrew for me. Played several positions well. Played well when the team were rubbish.

Player who over the piece has contributed most.

I like players who retain their own performance even when team is struggling…a la Maestro!

One thing I’m taking from yesterday is that history records it as 3-2. 9 man Celtic made a significant comeback. I must confess at 3-0 I was worried that we were about to see humiliation. 3-2 from 9 men v 12 …impressive?

As much as I wanted to win. A defeat has the same net outcome SPL to Celtic…

It’s because their ‘strike’ was such an unmitigated disaster for them that they’re behaving the way they are.

Most of them had no time for us before the ‘strike’. Now they all, without exception, have it in for us.

  12. Do you know what’s riled me ?

That fat clown McCoist shaking the players hands knowing fine well the camera would be on him.

I’m not sure if it was David Tanner or the commentator but he said that’s a great site to see.

Rats the lot of them, Neil make sure you dont miss any of them when we win the title.

Hurry lads, they are nearly all gone.

As for the establishment trying to banish Neil from the dugout for the last ever orcs game. They could carry him in chains to Timbucktou but his spirt would still be on the park and in the players hearts and he`d still hear his name being chanted from the terraces.

  16. At the game yesterday I noticed a number of times that objects were thrown at Celtic players. However I haven’t seen any comment on that issue. Perhaps it’s just a normal pastime at this type of game? Surely somebody in the MSm must have seen it? Probably caught up in the superb atmosphere!

  17. Had a wee thought to myself….with the hun players taking a hit on their earnings 75 percent reduction…do you think they would qualify for a “top up” from the players union…or does that sound crazy…..guess the best person to ask would be the fraser wishart guy….gees oh hees a hun too

I have always believed in Mulgrew being at an advantage over many on CQN to assess AFC players due to my frequent visits to Pittodrie.

Similarly I had concerns over Aluko when he signed for the Huns.. I recall saying he could yet haunt us when others sniggered at his signing.

On that basis I’m proposing Kari Arneson as a Celtic capture this summer.

    1. He is free

    2. He is an excellent midfielder

    3. He is an old head that could lead our young guys

    4. He is a strong character

    5. He can contribute goals from midfield

  19. We have 3 maybe 4 games left this season.

It’s clear that nothing has changed at the SFA. Campbell Ogilvie remains as president despite a personal EBT and full complicity in double contracts at RFC.

It is clear also that our Manager is being targeted by the usual suspects in the SFA ( the refereeing fraternity ). We have seen Dougie Dougie with a referee lying to the Celtic Manager and having to be forced out. We have witnessed the hatred of Dallas and his attacks on a Christian Religious leader in the 21st century.

Now we have Callum Murray ( who presented 3 rangers players who manhandled him with an alibi ) attack the Celtic manager for asking him a question. Callum Murray was selected by Hugh Dallases deputy , John Fleming.

It is clear that nothing has changed , in fact under Fleming ( who is a clever version of Dallas ) the situation has got worse.

When the league is over we need to target one or two away fixtures for a total boycott , organised by the CSA, independents plus all internet forums. It requires a small number of leaders from these constituencies to get together to organise it. Of course there will be a small number of diehards proclaiming I will go and see the Celtic etc. If they have one ounce of respect for our manager who has been subjected to murder attempts, sent bullets in the post , attacked in the street on at least 2 occasions they will be willing to make a small sacrifice ( never mind lied to by Dougie Dougie and lied about by Callum Murray ).

The bhoycott should be explained as a support for the scandalous attacks on our manager and the SFA for imposing a corrupt system upon the game especially the referees current led by dallas’s nominated successor John Fleming.

  20. I am so proud of Neil Lennon and his achievements to date. For me the biggest game was at Celtic Park when we beat the huns 1.0 and put them firmly in their place. We will win the league and we will be deserving champions. Winning at the filths stadium would have been a bonus but no more. All of us there yesterday were at the last Glasgow Derby at the filths stadium against Huns1872/3 (In Admin). For Neil to mould the team to be League Champions at such a young average age bodes well for us and our team.

We will continue to improve and Neil will develop into a fantastic manager for us for years to come. He will continue to mature as a manager and will learn from his mistakes as he does.

Guys like Murray and Brines are quite simply cheating themselves and their actions on a matchday must call into question their ability to carry out their day jobs in an honest manner. Shame on them. I was brought up to be the best I could be without resorting to cheating.

Regan must have watched that yesterday and thought what was last year all about. He must be seriously wondering if he can rid the corrupt SFA of its anti-Celtic. anti- anything remotely Irish. Although in not forcing Ogilvie onto Gardening leave leads you to think he is just as complicit in this bowling club/ psuedo lodge mentality

Anyway in my honest and humble opinion I would take 4 defeats to the huns if it meant we were champions every year.

Oh and I totally HATE the huns their fans and everything they stand for. Fat McCoist sums them up ;- sleekit filth. Near wet myself after reading Bartley’s tweet about noting the last tackle on Aluko. As if he could do anything, couldn’t fight sleep. Stupid wee boy.

I totally agree re Bhoycott … We need to send a message to certain teams….

My preference would be Kilmarnock & Hearts.

By the same token I would favour a supporting of sympathetic teams… Hibs or Aberdeen.. Who also stand up for fairness.

  22. My Dear,Dear Kojo..

I don’t understand why our Fine Young Manager doesn’t carry a recording device on his person at all times…never mind during matches..after his problems over the past year.

Certainly, for matchdays,he could carry a small discrete dictaphone, such as the Sony Talkbook.

Such devices record conversation with astonishing clarity, and use normal size C-90 cassettes, which can conveniently replayed on the home hi-fi.

For NL’s purposes, best choose a dictaphone which uses cassettes, rather than the digital type,as the former allows you to remove and store/edit all recorded material.

Cheap as buttons, from your local Comet or Maples..
