Ordinary looking Celtic fail to show

1243

Despite a remarkably solid defensive record, we have lost four and three goals on our two visits to Ibrox this season, although two of yesterday’s goals were lost with a two man deficit.  We were deservedly a goal down before Cha Du-Ri was ordered off and the contest irrevocably skewed.  Several Celtic players looked panicked from the opening minutes and it wasn’t until Kris Commons started to menace the Rangers midfield that we appeared comfortable in possession.

Until then, we looked pretty ordinary.

After a remarkably consistent run of games that ensured this season’s league title is Celtic’s, two big games, which could each have delivered a trophy, have been lost.

The drive to the line which is needed for teams to fulfil their potential is not there yet. It will come. Days like yesterday, months like October, are what team building is all about.

If you need a pick-me-up, enjoy The Celtic Family video above, its’ sure to hit the spot.

    I think he’s magic tae.

Craig Whyte is the best thing to happen to Celtic ever!

God forbid Celtic would want to put their future in their own hands!

They would just puck it fup!

Clear to everyone in Scotland, but becoming much more interesting to London.

There is a story here, I think they need to cover it quickly, or it might disappear.

Having said that I was interested in Willie Waddell exhibiting the epitome of the peepil earlier.

    Give them enough rope…

End of the programme sports section.

Interviewer: ” So Mr. Waddell what do you think people will say of your new continental training methods?”

Waddell: ” Whit dae ye mean?”

    Interviewer: “The sand castles”

    Waddell: “Whit dae ye mean”

Interviewer: ” You know making the players run up and down sand castles for hours on end. Sandy Jardine says its silly.”

    Waddell: “Whit de ye mean?”

Interviewer: ” Do you think your peers agree with your training methods?”

Waddell: ” They’re probably laughing at me but am noe bothered”.

  4. Margaret. Totally agree that if we had 11 players we would have won

But!! Neil chose Cha and he is an accident in waiting(see Anton rogan 1986 to 91) and it happened

Can’t afford to play a Player of his calibre anytime

Macjay..could have been. Cant remember for some reason I thought it was in Ayrshire.

SydneyTim..mibbes aye mibbes naw..never a red anyway. ok so we have to remember that we are playing our masters and that if the role was reversed Celtic would be lucky to get a free kick and a yellow never. But a red!

The way Samaras was removed from the game on two occasions in the first half prompted me to write this at half time on CQN. Now If I know this how come you dont?

    ———————————————————————-

Celtic completely outplayed first 10 mins.

Rogne, Cha and Stokes are not Celtic Class.

Jury still out on a few others.

SFA MIBS HUNS POALICE have predetermined the result.

Cha red because ref realised he couldnt give a penalty.

Samaras twice been physically removed from the ball that if in reverse would have been yellows.

No Celtic triumph at the home of hunnery today.

    Legendary otherwise.

  6. Just dropped-in to say….

Does anyone think that, Neil Lennon is on his own v’s the establishment as, since the sad passing of Paul McBride QC, all we’ve had is controversial decisions ?

The dirty/stinking-trick merchants of the establishment, haven’t been slow in identifiying their target!

If I got a penny every time someone called me a paranoid fenian bastard I’d have a fiver by now ( no a tenner)

  16. Really don’t think this is the place to speculate whether P Mc B was murdered, and the spastic remark was totally unneccessary,I’m sure there are some posters who have special needs relatives, that kind of moment will cause justified offence.

  17. Which part of Romanov spastic would you describe as either truthful,or heart-felt?,as for P Mc B and his tragic passing,it’s surely not the time,or place for such discussion. All in my humble opinion of course

  18. Good morning friends from East Kilbride where dawn is breaking to reveal another beautifully clear skied start to the day. Zero degrees at the moment but a 19 point swing expected by mid afternoon.

Hopefully the final 500-odd remaining tickets for this Sunday’s game will go today.

Off to hang out the washing…

    Jobo

  19. I think, anarchy has to rule the SPL from here on in.

    From now on.

Celtic PLC should insist that…..WE, Celtic FC play @3:00 on a saturday and, if your cameras can get here on time then, good.

We(Celtic PLC) will never again, ask ‘our’ fans to leave their beds @05:00 hours on a sunday morn, to play @ ICT EVER again!

Desmond Wite was right, way back in 1983-4 when he insisted that – “If too much football is shown live TV then, fans will stay away!”

DW also said “If stadiums are made all-seated then, the atmosphere will disappear!”

I criticised DW at the time but, with the benefit of hindsight, oh, how I wish we had such, infkuential figures today.

    Off to bed.

May God Bless Paul 67 and all of Timdom.

    Hail Hail
