At a media conference a few minutes ago Rangers administrators Duff and Phelps today told the world they have accepted the only unconditional bid got the club, from American Bill (Proxy) Miller. Mr Miller plans to start a new company to operate his ‘Rangers’ franchise. Duff and Phelps had the affront to suggest that the old club, established in 1872 and incorporated in 1899, would somehow manage to convince HMRC to accept a CVA, despite there being zero money available to them.
This will not and cannot happen. The last chance to save Rangers Football Club has gone.
Unfortunately for the UK taxpayer, they are about to take a bath for around £75m worth of medicines, school books, Help for Heroes and care services as Rangers spent all their tax money chasing football trophies.
Celtic Quick News told you this day was coming in our article on 3 October 2008. We didn’t know about the EBT case, ‘the bank running Rangers’, Craig Whyte or Bill Miller, but the available financial information made it clear that the club had debt obligations it would be unable to meet or renew.
Anyone from the boardroom of that club who claims surprise at these events is a complete fool. We should thank their media cheerleaders for refusing to analyse this issue while there was still time to do something about it.

You can quantify your income. Cheaper startup costs allowing a steady and predictable increase in income and expenditure whilst you rise through the pyramid. No Euro income for 3 years anyway so with clever marketing to bring the fans with you on your “journey” the losses would not be as bad as folk would think compared to the life of uncertainty within the SPL.
He is doing due dilligence. No application has been made for anything he is still assessing options.
Logic dictates Division 3. So all that matters is if he is looking for an immediate ROI, or if he is willing to wait 5 – 7 years

However, when Duff £ Phelps start with a very specific use of the English language where you need to analyse every word very carefully then it is a hoot.
This latest rubbish will take a few
days to unravel. This is Dignity’s equivalemt of our Cambuslang moment. I recall that the BBC send a reporter to an office block in Switzerland, in order to track down the property developer who was building our new ground for us ….. I would expect nothing less from the MSM now, with flights booked to the States to grill Windy Miller on the size of his warchest & working capital.
No surprise that the preferred bidder is 3,000 miles away , shielded from media glare and
making dumb partial statements about other organisations who they know cannot respond.
This farce will continue until same time next week when the spotlight will shift to SFA & SPL when it turns out the undertakIngs provided were not in place after all.

Here’s my take on this for what it is worth. Duff and Duffer see wild Bill “Murray” Miller as an escape route and the sooner the better. I doubt if they realised what they were letting themselves in for when they took over administration of the insanity that is the perma-raging huns. This gets them out of town pronto with their cash in hand saying that they delivered the club to a new “benefactor” with no liquidation during their watch. They were probably receiving threats the minute they walked through the door at the new Tesco Megastore.
We all need to calm down as this farce is far from over and has, IMHO, still got many fun filled weeks to run, it may even run longer than the Mousetrap.
Those of us expecting Celtic PLC to make pronouncements need to realise that you do that when the “facts” become real and not based on the myths that are spun on a daily basis by the MSM. If Celtic PLC reacted to every piece of “info” that we get day to day then they would look like complete fools, leave that to the huns.

A couple of questions for El Medano;
1) why if the club have reduced the running costs, are they increasing the prices ?
2) if the board are serious about their objections to a newco, have they extended the shut off date to season ticket renewals, to allow supporters to satisfy ourselves they have done all they can to represent the support ?
3) we watched the board re-new an old firm joint sponsorship deal with tennants in the face of objections from the support, what makes anyone think they will do anything different this time?

Reading posts on here and RTC Re Windy Millers plan being doomed to failure, it would seem that we are relying on SPL,SFA,UEFA,Hector,Ticketus or Celtic PLC ensuring that the plan fails. Trouble is I have faith in any of them except the PLC.
Supporters of all Scottish clubs need to unite in opposition to this.

I can’t see how moving your assets around gets you off the hook when someone wants their money like HMRC.

Surely HMRC have more powers at their disposal, I can’t believe they will allow a company to stick two fingers up at them, say they are transferring all the assets to a new company, and then try and get a CVA agreed on the bleached bones of the carcass.
No way this should end this way, this should be ending up with criminal convictions and assets sold to pay the debt owed.
I am beyond angry at this point, will I watch another SPL game if they survive, not a chance, I will still support Celtic in Europe but forget about the SPL, a rigged, corrupt, and pointless league in my opinion.
This is not about rangers, this is about moral obligations, sporting integrity, and fairness, damn right I am angry, look at your own pay statement at the end of the month, look at how much tax you pay as an individual and tell me your not angry with anyone that gets away without paying their dues like everyone else.

Are these guys serious. One of the largest tax dodges this country has seen is being carried out and the publicly funded broadcaster is asking if more player bling will be purchased?
Having now seen the TV interviews from Alex Thomson and the Beeb I have to say three things:
1. I didn’t know slime was so visible
2. I am none the wiser as to what this means
3. I am far from convinced Rangers are saved.

This IS a tax dodge but one which could yet have repurcussions

As for the SPL/SFA. There was little FACT in either interview about what they have given to Bill Miller. We have a conditional unconditional bid which was the only semi-viable one in town and hence he got it.
This idea that you can transfer everything to a newco while the oldco sits and is “cleaned up” over a period of months is going to be very hard to swallow and harder to put into action.

I think you would find that if this incubator scam did get over the hurdles of SPL et al then the supporters of other clubs would take the same view as we do.
The Yorkstons and Johnstones do not represent the fans of their clubs and I know for a fact that many are against the former’s position re Rangers.
Most people-even those with no particualar love for us–se this for what it is. Cheats prospering. Prospering because they stole from the tax-man. Money that should have bought care for the elderly, hospital equipment, nurses pay.
