SAME AGAIN, PLEASE, CELTIC!

ODSONNE EDOUARD could return to action at Parkhead this afternoon with Brendan Rodgers having the opportunity to field the same line-up that hammered Sevco Rangers 5-0 in April.

The £9million French striker has been in full training and is in line for a dramatic comeback in front of a packed house against Steven Gerrard’s new-look Ibrox outfit.

Hoops boss Rodgers said: “We could have had Odsonne on the bench the other night, but it would have meant him missing out on important work that would give him another couple of days’ training.

“He’s looked pretty good, so he will definitely be in the squad.”

Edouard, who scored the winner in Govan back in March and fired in two in the five-goal destruction of their Glasgow neighbours five months ago, could be paired with Leigh Griffiths, who claimed his 100th goal for the club in Thursday night’s 3-0 Europa League play-off victory over 3-0 Suduva.

Rodgers is likely to also find a place for Tom Rogic who has scored in four of the last five games against today’s opponents.

A doubt has hung over the midfielder after Australian international coach Graham Arnold spoke out last week to say he was omitting Rogic from his squad because of an ongoing knee condition.

However, Rodgers said: “Tom’s had an issue around that, but he’s fine and he’s available.”

FOR THE RECORD: The Celtic team that beat Sevco Rangers to clinch their seventh successive Premiership title was: Gordon; Lustig (sub: Hendry 71), Ajer, Boyata, Tierney; Brown, Ntcham; Forrest, Rogic (sub: Sinclair 67), McGregor; Edouard (sub: Griffiths 75). The goalscorers were Edouard (2), Forrest, Rogic and McGregor..
